Lijiang Hostels

"Deze reis begon vanuit Xiamen en eindigde in Lijiang Omdat de backpackervaring in Xiamen tien jaar lang erg goed was, heb ik geen andere jeugdherbergen overwogen toen ik naar Lijiang kwam. En ja hoor, ik werd hier niet teleurgesteld. De zeer grote openbare ruimte is zeer geschikt voor een persoon om te ontspannen. Het is altijd lastig om te eten als je alleen reist. Er zijn hier 's middags en 's avonds maaltijden. De gerechten zijn huisgemaakt en de prijzen zijn redelijk. Het enige jammere is dat de tijd die ik in Shuhe doorbracht te kort was. Ik heb 's avonds de volksmuziek en de zang en de Sunset Cinema niet ingehaald. Ik wil volgende zomer terugkomen en nog een paar dagen blijven."

"This hostel exceeded my expectations! The location is easy to find and super convenient for getting around. The room was clean and tidy, and the bunk beds have curtains, which provides great privacy. There were no strange odors in the room. The communal bathrooms had plenty of hot water and were well-equipped. The owner and staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient. The common areas have a relaxed vibe, perfect for solo travelers. It's excellent value for money; I felt safe and comfortable during my stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended!"

"Had a really memorable time at this hostel. Stayed in the dorm - clean and spacious. Great location for exploring Shuhe Ancient Town. The dogs are lovely company with personality. Lots of nice spaces - multiple common rooms, a very nice rooftop. I was treated to a very helpful, welcoming group of staff. I really enjoy their energy and attitudes, and wish I could spend more time with them. Staff also assisted with good priced (better than Didi) transport to and from Gan He Ba hiking trail. Overall, very cool and inviting group of people who help make this hostel."

"I had the most lovely stay. The hosts welcomed me with open arms (I even got a little Christmas present!) and I became part of a vibrant and lovely hostel community real quick. The common meals and evening activities like karaoke and pool make it easy. Even I don't speak a word of Chinese (and hosts and guests did only speak little English), we managed to communicate and ended up spending all days together, went on trips and on an awesome hike. They really made me feel at home. Only thing to notice: there is no heating and common areas are mostly open spaces. So it can get a bit chilly during the cold season..."

"I went out on a trip by myself and stayed in a youth hostel for two consecutive days. The lady boss was very welcoming. It was the cleanest and most comfortable youth hostel I have ever stayed in. Every roommate I met was also very nice. I even spent half a day in Baisha Ancient Town with one of my roommates. Yunnan is really nice. Next time I come alone, I will stay here again, but I hope we come together, hahaha."

"The guesthouse is located near the bus station and not far from the old town. There are restaurants and shop around. The common area are really nice and large. I stayed in the female dorm (4 beds) for one night and I was alone. The bedding was confortable and the room was clean. The private bathroom could use some refreshing and be cleaner. The staff was nice even though they didn't speak English."

"The owner 老板娘 & 老板 is very accomodating - they will treat u like family. "Very beautiful hostel. Location is just outside of old town. Staff is very helpful. Cleaning is average. Only one thing is that bed is very uncomfortable. Mattress is so much thin  I don’t sleep comfortably both 2 tonight atmosphere is very good but due to offseason hostel is full empty They have a very beautiful cat and naughty dog both or very beautiful and cute."

"Omdat ik niet graag de grote stadsgroei, kom ik de rivier in.En ik kies meestal de jongens. Deze verblijf is K2 echt buiten de verwachting, geef me een hoop verrassingen. Een oud hotel in de stad van de rivier, waar een prachtige tuin is, is al meer dan tien jaar geleid. Het is gelukkig om in de tuin te zitten en de zon te drinken. Ik wil niet naar buiten 😂😂😂 Voornamelijk kan je lunchen, de grote zus is een speciale baan, de maaltijd is goed, de prijs van 20 yuan per persoon is zeer hoog. Je kunt ook leren om te schrijven, om te proeven, te geschikt voor kleine partners die net zo rustig willen zijn als ik! Er is een broer die de Bao heet, die altijd graag de winkelman van de kleine broertje houdt, niet om me te schelen 🥺🥺 Ik heb niet genoeg tijd, maar ik ben net weggegaan en ik heb een paar dagen meer gepland. Het is een sterke aanbeveling! Het is een utopische uitstraling van Lila! Kleine tip: Als mensen die veel uitdagingen voor de kamer hebben, kies dan voor een verblijf, al jarenlang open, sommige infrastructuur kan een beetje verouderd worden, maar kan normaal worden gebruikt!"

"The room was huge and spacious, with amazing views over the mountains, which was absolutely breathtaking! The owners were nice and polite, and helped us with everything we needed. The location was perfect to me, in front of one of the side entrances of the Old Town and very close to bus stop. In just 10-15 mins walk, you reach the new town and it’s full of restaurants nearby! Cleanliness could be improved and the bathroom could use some care, but it’s ok for the price you pay! Just a quick note: the room doesn’t come with heating, just a bed heating blanket (as advertised), something to keep in mind if you come during winter as it gets quite cold. Also the hostel has a very cool rooftop with great views!"
