"The hotel is a 20-30 minute bus ride from Himi Station, but bus intervals are extremely infrequent, so you have to time your trip perfectly, otherwise you'll need to take a taxi. We went to Tateyama during the day and arrived late at night, well past the last bus. We emailed the hotel to book a taxi for us, and the whole process was smooth; the driver waited for us at the station. The hotel is located next to a small pier, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. Drinks are available in the restaurant on the first floor. The staff (or perhaps the owner?) were incredibly kind; they even moved the microwave from the kitchen to the lobby late at night so we could heat our food. When we left in the morning, the cleaning staff kindly took photos for us. Overall, although it's not cheap, it's worth the price, especially if you allocate time for the hotel during your trip; the sea views at night and sunrise are absolutely fantastic."

"The men's bath seemed to be broken, so we had to use the women's bath on a rotating basis. Although it said there was a sauna, there wasn't one (in the women's bath), and the open-air bath didn't even have any water in it, which was disappointing. The staff were kind, and the breakfast was delicious."
