We were a family of four and booked two rooms, but we got two sets of interconnecting rooms (so four rooms in total) upon checking in for the exact same price. Onsen bath was small, but very clean and the breakfast was fulfilling. For the price we paid, it was a superb value. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Yamagata region, though would recommend renting a car to get around.

It is an old good inn with a fragrance of Showa. The facilities are quite old, but the cleaning was well done. The bath is a hot spring with a lot of washing places. Because there were few other guests, I put it slowly in the rental state. It seems that the temperature of the source is high, so it is watered, but the temperature of the hot water is still hot. It may be better to divide it several times in a short time than to have a long hot water. The meal was the most easy plan, but the dinner breakfast was also sufficient quality and quantity. It was a pity that there were few customers due to the influence of corona, and there were few goods in the store. It would be better to buy sweets and snacks in advance. Then there was a big old black cat in the hall, and it seemed to be sleeping, but when it was up, it was ringing in a crowd.
