"Het hotel ligt op 10 minuten lopen van het centrum. De gastvrouw hielp een tour voor de whalen boeken. Slaap koud, maar er zijn warme klemmen en elektrische klemmen. De kamer heeft een magnetron, theepot, koelkast. Erg heerlijk ontbijt, bedankt voor dit afzonderlijk. We vergeten onze dingen in het hotel en het hotel heeft ons onmiddellijk gemaild. De stad is veilig en we gingen eerst in 2 weken nacht."

"We spent two nights at Mosselberg On Grotto Beach last week with our daughter who was out from the UK. From the first greeting when we arrived and Francois met us in the car park we were made to feel welcome. It was very cold and wet but Brighton had a roaring fire going in the communal lounge and we spent a lovely evening there enjoying a drink from their fully stocked bar and sushi which Francois kindly collected for us from town. Breakfast was a treat with a full range of cereals etc plus fruit and eggs etc to order. Gem took over from Brighton on the second day and we found him equally helpful and a pleasure to deal with."

We kwamen met mijn twee jonge kinderen (en de grootouders), en het was echt een huis weg van huis. The food is sublime, the facilities PERFECT for young children and adults like (small pool, tons of space to run, playground, tennis, the lake, kayaks etc), the rooms are the most spacious and beautiful I've come across, En het personeel is prachtig en warm en prachtig. Wat meer, de kinderen videomonitors zouden uit onze slaapkamer uittrekken, zodat we de kinderen in bed kunnen zetten en een heerlijk 3-cursus maaltijd in vrede over de bergen of het water. We hadden het beste tijd en ik kon het huis niet goed aanbevelen. We zullen elk jaar voor altijd meer terug zijn!"

"The experience at Whale Rock was excellent from check in to check out. Pros (some not mentioned in description)... great breakfast and good options & Service 100%. We stayed in room 4, which was well furnished with a great view. The bed was super comfy. Pool area is great with areas of shade and sun at most times of the day. Staff are excellent and so accomodating, you could not ask for more. Cons If you drive to the hotel using Sat Nav, it can route you through a local "shanty" area, which can be a bit disconcerting, however be 100% assured this is not a problem, as with many places in many places around the world, just be sensible. Drive in and out, or use tuk-taxis after dark and you will be completely safe."

"La Fontaine Guest House is een geweldige plek om te verblijven. De ontvangst door Natacha was zeer hartelijk. We konden nog kiezen welke kamer we wilden hebben. Deze kamer, nr 5, was werkelijk fantastisch en bestond een een slaapkamer met een geweldig enorm groot bed. Daarnaast was er een grote badkamer met alle faciliteiten die men nodig kan hebben. Daarbij was nog een apart woonvertrek en een kleine patio. De ligging is perfect, recht tegenover de zee en op loopafstand van de haven met zijn vele restaurantjes. Net zoals de rest was ook het ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en goed verzorgd."

"We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights as we wanted to do a whale watching trip on our South Africa road trip. We also knew that Hermanus is the best place for land based whale watching. On arrival at the lodge we were welcomed warmly by the owner who helped us with our luggage. We stayed in a ground floor room which was large and comfortable. However, other guests had to pass close by to enter the breakfast room. It was not warm enough to use the tiny pool or loungers but in warmer months this could present a problem as this facility was adjacent to the room we stayed in. The communal lounge area and viewing terraces upstairs are a great feature. We were unable to use the outside areas as the weather was cold and windy so we did not try any whale watching from there. I guess you would only see any whales using the provided binoculars. There is an honesty bar for guests use as well as a mini bar in the room. Breakfast was freshly cooked together with help yourself juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads. It is an easy walk down to the beach where there is a restaurant. Hermanus town is a short drive away. The main cliff path is here with some lookout points for whale spotting. We have just one negative comment. We found the house very cold. There did not appear to be any form of heating anywhere apart from in our bedroom where there was a heating unit which we eventually discovered how to use. However, this did not heat the bathroom. Apart from this, we had a very pleasant stay."
