"This inn was better than expected. Front desk clerk very friendly and helpful. Room decorated very nice and modern. Beds super comfy. Location is only a few minutes away from Southhampton, at a much more reasonable price. Grounds were well kept up, landscaped and freshly painted. We only stayed one night, as we were on a road trip, but would certainly stay again if in the area."

"It is a clean place to sleep in Hamptons Bays. That’s it. Small unit off a quiet road. Windows face the parking lot, so you have to keep your shades drawn, which is claustrophobic. Sheets and bedding are low quality, not particularly comfortable to sleep on. Host is remote control, so nobody welcomes you or cares about your experience. A/C is a window unit, so it’s noisy. Kitchen consists of a microwave and refrigerator."

"My wife and I stayed there during August 2025 for a night. All around, really positive. Great bang for your buck and deliciously placed near plenty of public and quit beaches in a quaint area. Debbie and Larry are courteous and generous and very professional. Would love to come here again. Just keep in mind, Montauk Point is still over an hour away and getting further by the year (nothing to do with climate change, just traffic :). Great pool, clean rooms, charming and relaxing!"

"We hadden een uitstekende vakantie op de Canoe Place Inn. De kamer en het zwembad waren schoon. Het personeel van de directeur-generaal, Sommelier, servers, hostess, horloges en huishoudelijke diensten zijn vriendelijk, gastvrij en zorgvuldig. Het landschap en de decoratie zijn perfect. Het is duidelijk dat er grote aandacht is voor de details . Er wachtten op ons toen we aankwamen in onze kamer. Dit was een memorabele ervaring die we zullen waarderen!!! We kunnen niet wachten tot we terugkomen!!!"

"Enjoyed our 1 night stay and will be back next time we come for a visit to the area. Updated rooms were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and hospitable. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool which had a nice view of the bay. Complimentary breakfast was just was we needed before we got back on the road. All around exceeded expectations."

"We came back for a nostalgia trip 40 years later. Lots of changes of course, great for the most part but the devil is in the details. There is no human contact when you get there, while you’re there, and when you leave, which to lots is a plus, but on the other hand when something goes wrong …it’s a process. So there’s new siding, new porches, new paint jobs, lawn chairs, lawn games etc but the rooms still have in wall/window air conditioners—ours was sooooo noisy we sacrificed the last night and opened the windows (the sills were filthy, prob never opened) and sweated it out bc we thought we had a better chance to sleep than the racket the funky AC gave us. The Bedding had a “blanket” that was folded in fashion to go across the bed mid way as is the style now except that it was so threadbare and frayed it was kinda gross. In any event for the money IDK, the pool was closed, the room was sub par —not even a mat when you walked in from the rain., the one shelf in the bathroom was in disrepair, slanted down so my stuff fell off it and half of it broke. The location is good, and like I said, we had a special nostalgic interest in returning, but this will be the last time I think."

"My friend and I wanted to visit the Hamptons for a long weekend this summer. It was a last minute trip, and I wasn't expecting to find a lot of availability. But Bay Watch Hotel and Marina came to the rescue. Our standard room was ready when we arrived - was nice and air conditioned and had a full kitchenette with everything we might need (including microwave and mini-fridge). The staff was friendly and helpful, and always around if we needed something. The pool was amazing! I was expecting it to be crowded, considering it was peak time in the summer, but it was quiet and peaceful. The hotel room and grounds were clean and well-kept. I especially liked the string lights all around at night. Parking was plentiful and location was ideal, right near the beaches and not far from Southhampton. The whole experience was relaxing and hassle-free - exactly what we needed. I will be back!"
