"KIA Lodge was my last stop after three weeks in rural Tanzania volunteering with the Canadian community health NGO CACHA. Contrary to recent reviews, my stay was lovely. The location is surprisingly serene, despite being on the airport property. My room was comfortable and clean, with hot water and reasonably good shower pressure - things that were a treat at the end of my trip. Dinner is a four course, prix fixe menu with fish or meat selection. The breakfast was good, not amazing but a decent selection, especially the pastries. My only negative comment would be the pool, which looked like it had a layer of dirt on the bottom. Given that we are coming out of the dry season, this could be the reason. The price is high but you are at the airport. Think of what you'd pay to stay at an airport hotel vs the same chain if you were a few km away - same principle here. It's very convenient, and that comes with a price. It all depends on your perspective. After three weeks with intermittent electricity and cold water the KIA Lodge was a welcome treat. If you've been staying in five star safari lodges, this is not where you should stay."

"My second time staying here. The rooms are comfortable, with A/C and TV (one channel). While the showers are cruise-ship size, the water pressure and hot water are good. The wifi is fine. The food in the restaurant is very good and the menu is extensive. Staff is excellent."

Ik sliep in de receptie en ze wakkerden me op en bood me een vrije kamer om te gaan. Ik beveel u erg aan een massage te krijgen na uw trek! Het warm water duurt een tijd om te gaan. Alle medewerkers zijn oprecht vriendelijk, behulpzaam en aardig. Dit is een fantastische uitvalsbasis om de Kilimanjaro en de omgeving van Moshi te verkennen."
