"Vanaf mijn aankomst voelde alles rustig, comfortabel en perfect geregeld. Ik heb op het terras gegeten met al mijn maaltijden en ontbijt, en met het eten, en dat maakte de ervaring nog leuker. De sfeer daar is ontspannen, met frisse lucht en mooie omgevingen die u langer willen blijven en gewoon alles innemen. Een speciale vermelding gaat naar Omar, die de verblijf nog meer herinnerbaar maakt. Hij was er altijd met zijn warme glimlach, om ervoor te zorgen dat alles perfect was en dat ik elke minuut genoten had. Zijn vriendschap en aandacht waren echt uit en voegde een persoonlijke aanraking toe aan de hele ervaring. Over het algemeen, ik genoot alles over mijn verblijf, het uitzicht, het eten, de dienst, en het vreedzame milieu. Ik zou zeker aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een ontspannen en mooie getaway adviseren Kaliwa Lodge."

"We stayed here as a starting point for our guide company and Kilimanjaro climb. The entire team (Revo, Scolastica, Ester, Teddy - to name a few) were all beyond phenomenal. They’re attentive to your needs and such kind people. The room was simple and very clean. You can tell the workers took so much pride in their hotel. The shower was a tad temperamental but it did the trick. They have a blow dryer at the front desk, if needed. And yes - they prefer you put your lunch and dinner requests in early. The food was pretty good. Breakfast is buffet and included with your stay. The hotel helps fund the school next door. So feel free to donate to them or bring some extra school supplies for donation if you wish. Oh - and there’s a great view of kili also from the balconies!"

"Authentic Eastern African ambiance. Extremely attentive staff. Excellent restaurant. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Very busy with safaris and Mt K treks, yet quiet and efficient. Well organized and thoughtful. The grounds are spacious, immaculate, and peaceful. The walk down the trail is a bit rough, but very rewarding; the river is stunning. Breakfast is included making your stay a great value. Monkeys, bunnies, and galagos! Come see. Deserves more than five stars. I would return here in a heartbeat."

"I was fortunate to stay at House of West Kili during a cycling tour around the Kilimanjaro area. We were warmly welcomed and give a nice orientation of the facilities. The grounds were immaculate and well groomed. The lodge rooms are huge, super clean and the plumbing was all working well. I felt like a VIP. The meals were excellent as we had dinner and breakfast before heading off. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a really nice place to stay. It was an absolute treat to stay at."
