I booked a one week stay half board at Pnoe on the recommendation of a friend. This is a brand-new facility. The rooms are very well appointed and thought out, they are smart rooms and,upon arrival and app is downloaded onto your phone to enable you to adjust the lighting, blinds, Order room service book your tables at the restaurants and the spa. The king size beds are actually two mattresses zipped together (love or hate this idea) if you are not Tech savvy and want to use conventional light switches et cetera in your rooms you will need the torch on your smart phone to see the switches and there Function as, they are dark brown and difficult to read. The food is all very fresh local and cooked to order, the breakfast selection seems endless. All cocktails and smoothies are made well and with fresh ingredients 10 out of 10. The spa is beautiful. I had three spa treatments. The final one which was performed by the spa manager Lia and was exceptional. I have not come across treatments and products by Dr Barbara Sturm before and was initially sceptical but it was the best facial I have ever had and the results were instant. I would not hesitate to recommend, the spa but in particular Lia who was exceptionally kind to me and put me at ease and made me feel comfortable following a recent operation. The website is exactly what the resort looks like, there is little to do surrounding the actual complex. Heraklion is only a short taxi journey away, should you want more? All the Staff are welcoming and want to make your stay enjoyable. A general feel of calm and serenity emanates throughout. I will be returning

The most beautiful stay! My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights for a babymoon and it was wonderful. On arrival, the staff had upgraded us to a garden room which was huge with a large balcony, side sea view and incredibly comfortable bed. There was a bottle of Prosecco and cold plate awaiting us in the room. The shower is very powerful and the bath is huge! The whole hotel is stunning and immaculately clean. The staff work so hard to care for the hotel and grounds and it really shows. The restaurants are fabulous. I'm veggie and when asked to review my stay after a couple of days, I commented that the only thing I would change was the veggie options. The following two nights at dinner, we were treated like royalty with specially made or recommended dishes. It was so special and I felt very lucky and cared for at the hotel. Despite the beauty and grandeur, the hotel has a lovely, relaxed feel. Every member of staff we met was friendly, kind and helpful. It is such a nice atmosphere at Amirandes. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff even brought me up some milk when I had terrible heartburn! Just gorgeous people all round. The hotel has a short pathway to a private, sandy beach with plenty of loungers, towels are all included and laid out, no queueing! The sea is calm and clear, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and you can order food and drinks to your lounger if you like too. This was truly a 5 star experience and we will be booking again with our new arrival for out first family holiday without a doubt! Huge thanks to all the staff for making our time so special. We stayed at the hotel for five nights in July 2022. There were eight of us in total so two families. The location is absolutely perfect as it is right in the middle of Heraklion, opposite the bustling square with its wonderful with its Artisan stalls which are worth visiting and only a short walk to the shops and wonderful selection of restaurants. Heraklion is a truly bustling and Cosmopolitan city. The Hotel is very close to Heraklion Archaeological Museum and a bus or taxi ride to the beach. It is also not too far from the port you can walk there but we took a very quick taxi due to the heat. Upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome and our baggage was taken to our room for us. The reception area is refreshing to walk into from the heat outside and the decor is lovely and very modern with a comfortable seating area. There is a downstairs bar which is very chic with beautiful artwork where you can eat and you can just walk through to the shops outside to have a mooch with is perfect. Our check in process was very smooth and efficient. Check out is at 12 and check in is at 2. We had travelled from Chania by taxi. and were a little early. The gentleman on reception was able to find our group a room to check into while they got our other rooms ready which was very helpful and we did not have to wait too long. We had the economy rooms two different types between us. The ones which have balconies and the ones which are inside but don't have a balcony. The latter were a bit bigger than the ones with the balcony and the children's bed has its own little area which we really liked. The bathroom and room were very clean and the cleaners were very helpful and polite. We had a small fridge all the usual amenities you would expect and the air conditioning always worked well. I really feel (being from the UK) that the hotel represents very good value for the price we paid - if we were to pay a similar price in England we would not be staying in nearly such a nice hotel that's for sure. Certainly not one with a pool on the roof! We absolutely loved the roof area. The pool is quite small (but still big enough to have a lovely, cool swim). The pool area is clean and there are sunbeds and chairs you can sit on around the pool and plenty of place to sunbathe. It is absolutely lovely the perfect place to relax and take in the view. They also have a lifeguard up there at all times which we were not expecting. The pool is open until 8 at night but you can still go up to the roof for drinks and to eat your dinner after this time. They also provide towels for you which is great. The bar on the roof is absolutely excellent and the service is impeccable. The bar staff and waiters and waitresses work so hard and are so friendly (whilst also remaining professional). Have a good stay. We extended the stay of the blow. Far from all the night life of Malia but close to its authentic old Malia.

The hotel is below average and obviously sells because of its central location in Heraklion. This is its only advantage. Otherwise : A lot of noise from early morning (big banging, etc.) - to the point where you can't rest. Small and uncomfortable rooms. (They don't even have hangers in the bathroom for towels!) The rooms show strong signs of abandonment. They need renovation. Very modest breakfast, with only the very basics. Everything served is without taste! Only low quality filter coffee is served - without taste. If one wants to get a decent coffee, they must order it from the cafe bar at the entrance and is charged. There is a scale for weighting luggage at the reception. Requires a fee of 1 Euro !!! The staff, although very polite, are not happy or cheerful with clients. To ξενοδοχείο είναι κάτω του μετρίου και προφανώς πουλάει λόγω της θέσης του που είναι σε κεντρικό σημείο του Ηρακλείου. Αυτό αποτελεί το μόνο του πλεονέκτημα. Κατα τα άλλα : Πολύ θόρυβος από τα ξημερώματα (κρούση μεγάλων κτλ) - σε σημείο να μη μπορεί να ξεκουραστεί κανείς. Μικρά και άβολα δωμάτια. (Δεν έχουν ούτε κρεμάστρες στο μπάνιο για τις πετσέτες !) Τα δωμάτια δείχνουν έντονα σημάδια εγκατάλειψης. Χρειάζονται ανακαίνιση. Πολύ λιτό πρωινό, με τα πολύ βασικά μόνο. Πολύ άνοστα όλα ! Καφές μόνο φίλτρου και χωρίς γεύση. Αν θέλει κανείς να πάρει έναν αξιοπρεπή καφέ, τον παραγγέλνει από το cafe bar της εισοδου και χρεώνεται. Υπάρχει χρέωση 1 Ευρώ για να ζυγίσει κάποιος τη βαλίτσα του !!! Το προσωπικό, αν και πολύ ευγενικό, δεν είναι καθόλου πρόσχαρο.

It was an absolutely wonderful experience and I would surely recommend it to anyone who’s searching for a luxurious hotel to spend their free time. First of all, the staff was really kind, they always have smiles on their faces and they make you feel like home with their will to do anything that you can think of. I can clearly see the improvement they’ve made on every sector of the hotel in comparison with last year. Moreover, even the food menu is better as we tried some new special flavours that matched the elegant form of the hotel. Dining at the restaurants Makuti and Umami were two of the experiences that created in me the need to stay. Last but not least, Mrs.Anastasia Deligianni was the source of the positive energy for all the staff, as she first welcomed us with a very big smile. Of course I will come again as it was my favourite one out of all the hotels I’ve been to.

We had booked The Olive Green Hotel three years ago, but Covid intervened. However we were delighted to visit in May. It was all that we had hoped for. Centrally situated in Heraklion, the hotel was ideal for our five day stay. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. (Our ferry had arrived at 6 a.m. but we were invited to have breakfast after checking in). We also had dinner in the bar on two occasions and that was both good and well priced. We would certainly return if we visit Heraklion again.

I will try and keep this review to the point. Arrived for a 7 day stay at this hotel. Hotel looks amazing from everywhere. Booked a dazzling sea view room and when we arrived I realised it was not a dazzling sea view room and was more what other hotels would refer to as a partial sea view room - showing slight sea view from a corner. I raised it with staff who advised it was sea view but could look at it tomorrow which given the time I agreed to. I also raised it with my travel company. The following morning in the afternoon I was shown another room which wasn’t a proper sea view either. Given that I paid a considerable amount more for a sea view I wasn’t happy with the room provided. I showed the guy in reception the photo of the room I chose when booking and he told me that it “was just marketing” to which I responded it’s false advertising - he then walked off and left us. Later in the day we had a call from guest relations to ask how our first night had been etc which was nice and I explained the night had been ok but room wasn’t good. The lady told me I was in a urban city room not a dazzling sea view which I had chosen and paid more for. I later received a call from my travel company who advised that another room would be shown. Guest manager maria advised she wasn’t sure why we had been told it was city urban view but the new room was front facing sea view - we eventually moved on day 2 and there was no reimbur*****t for the days we were in the incorrect room. The new room was good but just a shame that it took so long to resolve as nobody wants a bad start to their holiday. My second critique of this hotel is front reception staff - mainly the men. Their attitude is poor and any questions appear to be a chore for them. When we arrived I asked about late checkout as our flight wasn’t until 11.55pm. I was told to request it a day before which I did. I was then told to come at 9pm and I explained I had dinner reservations but would come later In the night. I already knew there was an additional charge to keep the room which I was happy to pay. I was then told the hotel was fully booked and late checkout was not available now but we would have access to facilities. This again left a sour note to the holiday as it meant we had to rush and pack and then didn’t have comforts of using bathroom or resting etc. I also checked the hotel website and *********** which showed the hotel did have room availability so the guy on reception was being dishonest. I did challenge him On this but he didn’t appear to care and said if I wanted to book another room I could but it wouldn’t be ready until 3pm the next day. I could write so much more about this experience but overall it really ruined the day and final day of holiday. What was meant to be a relaxing day ended up being stressful as we had to be out the room by 11 and then had nowhere to really rest. Now onto the positives because there are some.
