"Verbleven hier voor 2 weken in juni. Absoluut geweldig hotel en personeel. Elk personeelslid is vriendelijk en handig. Locatie is perfect. Minder dan 5 minuten lopen over de weg en u bent aan het meer of de oude stad. Ook de busstation is een 2 minuten lopen. Het zwembad is prachtig en zeer schoon. Entertainment 2 nachten per week was een extra bonus. De kamer was airconditioning, die zeer welkom was omdat de 2e week zo warm was. Ik vond het hotel zeer rustig, werd niet gestoord door andere gasten. De kamer was dagelijks schoon. Er was zoveel keuze voor ontbijt. Snacks beschikbaar vanuit het bargebied de hele dag. Ik was alleen bed en ontbijt dus kan ik niet op het diner commentaar. Als ik ooit terug ben in Garda dit is het hotel dat ik zou kiezen 100%."

"Just returned from this absolutely lovely hotel, staff are so friendly, lovely modern room with tea/coffee facilities, room cleaned very well daily with fresh towels daily, also pool towels provided, food was amazing, and was a lovely dining experience, lovely pool area with plenty comfortable sunbeds, roof terrace also had spa pool, which was lovely, and the views were stunning, lovely walk down to lake side with the added bonus of a courtesy bus, which we used to return from lakeside, highly recommend this hotel, and will absolutely rerun."

"Hotel in need of urgent re-styling.. Structure from the 70s, it is located in an enviable position, a few steps (on foot) from the center of Garda and the lake, with a grandiose view of the lower part of the lake. Unfortunately, however, the rooms need to be updated: the bathroom in our room has seen better moments. Good breakfast and abundant choice of sweet/savoury, shame about the coffee and fruit juices, supplied by terrible machines. Very kind staff."

"We travel a lot and never write reviews. We felt compelled to do so in this case because we were close to cancelling our stay based on negative reviews on this website. This is a 16th C building converted into a 13 bedroom boutique hotel, set just outside Garda town in a desirable location favoured for lunch and sundowners by the Lake Garda boating fraternity. It has access to a shared pool, or is adjacent to a beautiful protected beach area which costs e30 a day ( you can come and go) to rent a lounger and umbrella ( as is the same everywhere we have been to in Italy ). The protected bathing area is easy to see in pictures and faces away from Garda town. The pictures of the hotel on the website are authentic. We stayed in the water view room in the wing overlooking the popular hotel bar on the pier. This is a 16th C building, it is not a modern glass and steel, floor to ceiling window type hotel. Our room was charming, authentic, and although the bathroom really only fits one person at a time, it had been refurbished and was fully equipped Breakfast and dinner were served on the restaurants outdoor terrace facing out to the lake and away from the pier/ bar. This is a lovely setting. The food and service were good and the staff spoke multiple languages and certainly english The pier bar is immensely popular with non hotel guests, who walk along the shore from Garda or boat in. From the first day of our four night stay the bar “ organiser” recognised me, knew my room number, and always gave us a table ( we were 2) immediately. We were there at one of the busiest weekends of the year. ( we did not have lunch there, maybe that is more of a problem,and a large group might be a problem) For people who like authentic, do not mind walking on heavily worn 16th c cobble stones, understand that in Italy you have to pay for eg a sun lounger, and love a beautiful setting, then we fully recommend this hotel"

"We stayed for 8 nights in a triple type room.yThere were one double bed and a single bed with one side against the wall.The room was fairly compact.The air conditioner was fine during the day,however during the night it did not cool.We complained several times but the problem was not solved. The bed mattress was soft and saging in the middle, which made it uncomfortable. The breakfast was basic with no cooked food like fried eggs.You are not allowed to take any breakfast food items to your room without a charge, which is unusual since we have stayed in several hotels in Italy without this rule. The hotel location is very good since it is situated on a quiet street but only 3 minutes walk to central bus station and the beach areas."

"This family run hotel is superb. We have stayed here 4 times and have always had a very positive experience. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, as is the whole hotel. The restaurant is excellent and serves typical food for the region. The owners and staff are very welcoming and we are looking forward to our next visit in 2024. With a short 10 minute walk to the centre of Garda, it is very well placed."

"The welcome was very warm! The nice lady at reception explained everything to us and offered us a welcome drink. We were then taken to our room and given a few useful tips. Since you can choose and put together your breakfast from a very extensive list the day before, you won't miss anything. If you have forgotten or overlooked something, that is no problem. It will be delivered by friendly staff. Our room was clean, big enough and we had a very nice view of the lake. The cleaning was carried out in the morning and was also fine. You can't say anything negative about the pool area either. It is beautifully laid out and invites you to relax. A small snack is also served in the afternoon. Since there were no naughty or shouting children present during our stay, we were able to relax really well. Just great! We then extended it for another night. It would be very nice and desirable if this house were turned into an “adults only” hotel. Then subsequent vacationers could also enjoy their time here. We really enjoyed the days and nights in this hotel and will definitely come back!"
Villa Madrina Lovely and Dynamic Hotel
"We have just left after a five night stay at this charming traditional hotel. Everywhere was immaculately clean and the gardens are beautifully maintained as well. The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially the restaurant and bar team who couldn’t do enough for us. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and a cake was left for us in our room. Breakfast service was good with plenty of choice, and our two evening meals were delightful. The dining room is quite bright for evening service; perhaps a better ambience can be created for when it’s too cool to have the doors open. Bar area is small but the hotel was quiet when we stayed so not a problem. We’d have welcomed some more comfortable seating options inside on the ground floor. Our room was spotless and well equipped with a fabulous lake view. It’s about a five minute walk to the lake where there’s a great variety of good shops and cafe restaurants. Wonderful family run hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. So quiet and peaceful Thank you to all the staff"

"I have never left a review for a hotel before but I feel obligated to leave a review after the most amazing stay. Genuinely our best holiday yet. We had the most amazing week here with our young family. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The hotel was incredibly clean. The food was delicious and the staff could not do more for you. Incredibly attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the lake but we managed it with two young kids during the hot weather. No need to walk though as the hotel shuttle is at your service when needed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we almost booked an extra couple of days on the end of our trip. Thanks to all of the staff. We hope to come back soon."
Poiano Garda Resort Hotel
"De communicatie tussen het hotel en mij voor aankomst was fantastisch, ik kon er geen enkel minpuntje aan vinden en het personeel bij de receptie leek erg vriendelijk. We kwamen om 10.00 uur aan en konden pas om 15.00 uur inchecken, wat prima was, dus besloten we de shuttle naar Garda te nemen. De shuttlebus was niet geschikt voor het aantal gasten dat in dit hotel verbleef. Op een van de dagen zaten mijn 76-jarige oma en ik op de grond in de kofferbak van de bus, hoewel we ons aan het ticketsysteem hadden gehouden en de eersten waren. Het personeel controleert de tickets niet, slechts één dag checkten ze onze hele 6 dagen in het hotel in. Soms zijn er 2 bussen als je geluk hebt, maar hoe dan ook, ze nemen maar 7-8 mensen mee of als je geluk hebt, een stoel in de kofferbak. Het personeel dat de bussen bestuurt, lijkt meisjes uit de stad op te halen en ze heen en weer te brengen, wat betekent dat er minder plaatsen in de bus zijn, hij brengt zijn tijd door met het kussen van hun handen en het maken van een gedoe over hen in plaats van gasten van het hotel in de bus te laten. Het ontbijt was niet geweldig, het eten was altijd koud en zag er niet eetbaar uit. De pannenkoeken en het gebak waren heerlijk en de drankjes waren fantastisch, maar ik ben zo blij dat we geen halfpension hebben genomen, want andere gasten vertelden ons dat het niet leuk was tijdens het avondeten. En als je hier zonder halfpension wilt eten, kost het € 35 per persoon per nacht. Je kunt voor die prijs met z'n tweeën in de stad eten. Het Italiaanse restaurant net buiten het hotel was heerlijk! We hebben daar op een avond een pizza afgehaald, wat het zeker waard was en ik zou het aanraden als je moeite hebt met eten, want het is betaalbaar. De kamers zelf waren oké, ouderwets en zouden een renovatie kunnen gebruiken. We zaten op de eerste verdieping van het hotel, praktisch met uitzicht op de receptie, 's nachts erg luidruchtig omdat je elk gesprek buiten de receptie kunt horen en mensen boven klinken alsof ze elke nacht rondstampen. Bedden waren oké, maar de hitte in de kamers was verschrikkelijk! We gingen in oktober en konden de airconditioning niet aanzetten, maar het was elke nacht bloedheet. Onze balkondeur was kapot en het voelde alsof hij uit de scharnieren sprong elke keer dat we hem probeerden te openen, helemaal niet veilig. De drankprijzen waren goed voor het hotel en ik kon hier niet echt iets op aanmerken. We wilden wel naar de spa, maar die is alleen open van 14:00 tot 20:00 uur en was te laat toen we wilden gaan. De winkel was alleen open van 08:00 tot 10:00 uur en er is vrijwel niets in de winkel, dus vertrouw niet op de winkel voor andere dingen dan water. Ze accepteren alleen contant geld en zodra het 10:00 uur is, is het dicht, dus wees er snel bij. Persoonlijk zou ik hier niet meer verblijven, want er is ruimte voor verbetering. We betaalden ongeveer £ 500 per persoon voor 5 nachten en 6 dagen en waren liever ergens anders heen gegaan, maar het hotel was altijd schoon en het personeel was altijd vriendelijk, dus ik kan hier helemaal niets op aanmerken. Bedankt dat jullie ons hebben uitgenodigd. Alle bijgevoegde foto's zijn relevant voor mijn punten :)"

"Leuk authentiek hotel met groot zwembad in een mooie omgeving! Het eten was heel lekker ( brood was een minpunt : hard en weinig variatie), maar heel goed buffet met zuiderse groenten, elke dag opties ofwel vis of vlees, gecombineerd met voorafgaand een pasta. Behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel! Heerlijk zwemmen, maar jammer dat je niet op de grond kon staan omdat het water te diep is ( tenzij je meer dan 1,80m groot bent). Het hotel straalde een echte Italiaanse sfeer uit van de jaren 70, het was gezellig met 'eigen charme'. Het is geen 'massahotel met onpersoonlijk interieur. Super om te ontspannen!"

"Just returned from a fabulous stay at the family run Hotel Cortina. Greeted with a friendly welcome and a cold beer while getting checked in, before being shown the rear door of the hotel, leading directly in to the town centre, and less than 100 metres to the lake front. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with daily variations. Luigi was always willing to offer recommendations for places to eat, all of which were superb. The hotel is a great base for exploring Lake Garda and provides excellent value for money."

"This was a beautiful place to stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Due to delayed flights we had to stay in Garda a night before moving on. So we booked this hotel at 9pm at night and the staff were so accommodating. It’s in a great area. I’m now sorry we only got to stay for one night. I will be back for a longer stay! "

"Incredibly welcoming family run hotel, very clean and tastefully decorated. The whole staff was wonderfully nice, helpful and always available if needed. The rooms are spacious, well decorated, clean and well furnished with an excellent bed. The breakfast was very tasty and plentyful. Great AC, and the soundproofing with the outside street (slightly busy at night with several bars and restaurant) was very good."

"Brilliant location , was on a tour meals nice choose at the breakfast for the evening meal .no bar , rooms cleaned daily small fridge .no tea making already knew so took own kettle etc .my room wasn't the best 124 as only had a small window & looked out onto a roof I did ask to move but full hotel. Would have been perfect if front with balcony. As had an early return flight they did give us a breakfast pack up .would recommend as good location & beautiful view looking out of restaurant."

"The location of the hotel is superb. Staff were very helpful and friendly from the minute we arrived until our departure. The breakfast selection was excellent and the lunch menu has a good variety too and very reasonable as were the drinks. The hotel pool was good and plenty of sun loungers to relax with a drink. The hotel offers some free excursions and have bikes for use. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the town/lake and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from for dinner."
Regina Adelaide Hotel & Spa
"This is a lovely hotel and staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The decor and furnishings are very eclectic but this added to the general ambience. Lovely pool, albeit a little cold as it was September. Great pool bar and outside facilities. We opted for bed and breakfast as we enjoy trying different places to eat whilst on holiday. But we did eat in one of the hotel restaurants one night, and the food was lovely. Location is fantastic and within a 5 minute walk, you are in the town centre of Garda. Ferries for visiting other lakeside towns are a 15 minute walk away. Just two minor grumbles however. Firstly, maybe it was the room we were in (212) but we were aware of every shower and toilet flush from all the nearby rooms and were constantly hearing plumbing water running down pipes. Secondly, we have never been charged for drinking water before, anywhere! We stayed at a well known hotel in Dubai last year where drinking water was complimentary. On our last night we were not given any water at all. We're both in our 60's and take medication at night, so this caused an inconvenience which was unnecessary. Overall a very pleasant stay."
Residence Parco Del Garda
"Bungalow met airco geboekt bij TUI, maar op het park vond men het niet nodig er een met airco toe te wijzen. In plaats daarvan een werkelijk aftands huisje gekregen dat bovendien niet te koelen was. Na contact met TUI is er contact opgenomen met ene Serenna die de reserveringen coôrdineerde. Ook zij vond het niet nodig iets te wijzigen. Het park had enkele huisjes met airco en je had gewoon pech als je er een zonder toegewezen had gekregen. WAT!?? Daarnaast: vieze wc, roestige douche, hangende kastdeurtjes, onveilige stopcontacten, kapotte horren bij alle ramen, maar bovenal oude, ranzige bedden. Gevolg: TUI gaf (te magere) compensatie , slecht slapen in het park en om die reden eerder vertrokken."
