"This was my first time staying here. The location was easy to find; I saw it as soon as I exited the station, and it was just across the bridge. I stayed in an annex, a Western-style room converted from a Japanese-style room. The original large window was sealed off and made into a smaller one, but it could still be opened. However, the bed was placed in a strange position, feeling like half of it was inside the room and half on the balcony. When I turned my head to sleep, I was facing a full-length mirror. I was afraid of being startled if I got up in the middle of the night, so I moved my suitcase to the table to block the mirror. In addition, because it was an annex, you had to go down half a flight of stairs to get to the room, which was extremely inconvenient for people with large luggage. So, travelers who book annex rooms should pay special attention and it is best to choose a traditional Japanese-style room. Also, there was no bathroom in the room, but the website said there was a private bathroom. Be careful, as there was a very hot hot bath on the rooftop."

"I was looking for a place to stay where I could bring my pet, and I found this inn. They have a family bath, and their website said it could be used whenever it was available, but in reality, you had to make a reservation at the front desk and borrow a key. Honestly, the facilities are old, but the food is delicious! Or rather, the food was prepared with care, and you could really feel the care they put into making sure our guests enjoyed their meal. They don't use high-end ingredients, but I could tell the food was carefully prepared. I also ordered a local sake tasting set, and the young owner kindly explained the sake to me, allowing me to enjoy different types of sake. The breakfast had a wide variety of dishes, and I was really full. In the evening, I had the chance to interact with the inn's famous cats, which was fun."

"There are no recreational facilities around Iizaka Onsen, just a public hot spring. It's just a bath, a meal, and a walk. So it might be good for people who want to enjoy hot springs. This hotel only accepts solo stays on weekdays, so I took a paid day off and headed there. The hotel was relatively large and could accommodate up to 7 people (!), but some of the Japanese-style tatami rooms looked down on the river, giving it the feel of a ``hot spring inn.'' In addition to the [Hanamomonoyu] bath, which is also used by day-trippers, there is also a bath [Yurari] that is exclusive to guests, where the men and women change at night and in the morning. Yurari offers a variety of hot springs and has a more luxurious feel than Hanamomo, but there is little guidance inside the facility and I was the only user at night. It's a waste. Women can only use it at night, so please come and join us. Meals are buffet both in the evening and in the morning. In addition to local specialties, there is also a wide variety of creative dishes that will make you want to eat everything but can't. I like the taste, it's not too strong and not too sweet, it's well balanced. All the staff were kind and talked to me. I had a lot of fun even by myself."
