The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :)
I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Super mooie Riad tegen westerse prijzen dus voor Marokkaanse begrippen duur. Maar prachtige kamers heel sfeervol en top locatie in de Medina. Dus wij hebben genoten van de kamers, de service, het restaurant maar helaas was het zwembad buiten gebruik waar de kids erg naar hadden uitgekeken want eerste verwarmd zwembad….niet dus

Schitterend Riad midden in de medina van Fez. Onze kamer (Orange suite) op de begane grond was zeer ruim en netjes. Een tweepersoons bed, en twee eenpersoons bedden voor de kinderen. Knus zitje (met openhaard!) en badkamer met douche, wc en 2 wasbakken. Dakterras met uitzicht over Fez is geweldig en restaurant is top. Ontbijt op dakterras heerlijk. Voldoende keuze aan Marokkaanse wijnen voor goede prijs (170-400 MAD per fles). Personeel zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Hammam zeer aan te raden. Geweldig Riad. Zonder enige twijfel beste keus in Fez

The staff at Riad Laaroussa are exceptional! They did everything they could to make us comfortable and help us get around (booked taxis for us, transported our luggage to and from the riad, suggested restaurants, etc.). The room was beautiful, the air conditioning worked great, and it was very quiet (even though we were on the first floor just off the lobby). I would absolutely stay here again if I visited Fes.

This place is phenomenal! We can’t wait to come back. A wonderful place to land and start our time in Morocco. Beautiful riad with gorgeous rooms. Ours had a fireplace, which we used—very cozy. The staff is extremely kind and supportive. They helped us book a tour through the Fes medina with an awesome guide, Yassine. We highly recommend Yassine. The rooftop restaurant has awesome food with great service and some of the best views in the city. We also had hammam and massages at the spa, which were wonderful and helped alleviate our jet lag. The front desk staff also arranged for a fabulous driver—Omar—from the airport. He was so great we requested him as our driver to Merzouga and Marrakech. Omar was attentive, knowledgeable, informative. He shared intriguing personal commentary that helped us connect with the culture and history of places we passed through. He made lots of fun scheduled stops to enchanting sites along the way. If you’re looking for a wonderful driver and guide, book with Omar: he gets our 5-star review!

I returned to Fes this year largely so I could return to this hotel. A grand palace restored magnificently and filled with a mix of Moroccan antiques and contemporary pieces that blend perfectly. A labyrinth of stairs, corridors, sitting rooms, centered around the principal courtyard planted with lemon trees and alive with the sound of the fountain and chirping birds. I could stay there forever.

This is one of the nicest small hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Great rooms, lovely decor, and a team with the greatest — and genuine — commitment to making your stay perfect, warm and welcoming. I heartily recommend the restaurant and the hammam, and would be glad to return. (And I am a pretty tough judge!)

I recently stayed at this exceptional property. This gorgeous former home of the Minister of War from over a hundred years ago has been beautifully restored and decorated. They offer a delicious rooftop breakfast, helpful staff, and have an onsite Hammam.
