We were a group of 9 people (2 adults and 7 youth) and we had booked a 6 bedroom and a 4 bedroom apartment. Upon arriving at the Best Western we were advised that we had been given a free room upgrade from a 4 bedroom to a 7 bedroom suite. It was fantastic with enough room for everyone to join in together in one of the apartments for meals etc. In both apartments we had a main bedroom downstairs with kitchen, bathroom etc and then upstairs were the additional beds with own bathroom. Kitchens were big enough for us to cook and make lunches for our day trips. Everything was clean and tidy. The only unfortunate thing was that the 6 bedroom apartment had a lingering smell of fish emanating from the fridge but it was clean and we managed to ignore it.

We stayed here on the evening of the all black match. Hotel was clean and tidy, room type was a Super king. Bed and pillows were great , room was clean and tidy. Bottle water in fridge. Outlook from window was motorway. Free parking. Only downside is the smoke alarm has a flashing yellow light a few times each minute Reception staff were professional a day friendly. Less than 5 minute walk to Westfield Newmarket. Would happily stay again. Room 2012

When we first arrived, all went well, easy check in, lovely receptionist. The room was a bit dark and the view to the neighbouring building was not that private so we couldn't make use of the nice divan in front of the window to perhaps read or relax. We had a Romantic Spa Suite supposedly, but there was no spa - just a bath, and it was definitely not romantic in the bathroom! But.... we got on with it and cooked our dinner in the very tiny kitchen. The glass table was awful - so hard to not make a noise on it, and to have to be careful not to break it - unsure why some places have glass tables for guests - silly idea - keep it simple and wooden! It was a rainy and cold night so we decided to stay in after doing a bit of ”work online”. So much for that - the internet was not working, but by the time we found this out, the office was shut. Turned the TV on to see what was on - not much on normal tele, so tried Netflix (maybe, just maybe the internet was only a problem on our devices). No Netflix, no nothing - just boring TV and a rainy night in a dark room with no romantic atmosphere whatsoever. Next morning I complained - the very understanding receptionist refunded our next night's stay that I asked her to cancel - without question. It didn't completely make up for the crappy night, but better than nothing.

We were looking for somewhere affordable with two bedrooms and free parking. As we were only planning to spend two jet-lagged nights there, location did not have to be prime. This place fit the bill. There is a nice mall (Westfield Newmarket) that is a short walk away. The only issue I had was receiving a package here. I had notified hotel staff in advance, and I was hoping to find it waiting in my room when I arrived. Unfortunately because no one told me to put the office room number in the address, the package was returned by NZ Post. The staff member on duty did try to help me track it down. By then there was no point in redelivering as I would be off to my next destination.

We had traveled to Auckland for the Armageddon event at ASB show grounds and pretty much searched for rooms in the general area based on price, Siesta motel was one of the cheapest and so maybe our hopes weren't too high thinking that it was just going to be a place to spend a night or two. We were very pleasantly surprised, everything about the room looked brand new and spotless, it had cooking facilities, a bathroom that looked amazing and had a shower with enough pressure to knock you over. The comfortable KING size bed with awesome foam pillows was so nice. Our room faced onto Great South road but there was no road noise at all. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful, genuinely interested in our stay and experience, we left the car at the motel most of the weekend and walked to ASB showgrounds, a little bit of a hike but not too bad for anyone with average fitness, we grabbed an Auckland Transport hop card from the nearest dairy though and caught the bus back, the Number 70 bus stops directly outside the motel on Great south road and we used this to head into the city for dinner and a few drinks so we had no worries about driving or parking. Couldn't fault this place at all and will absolutely book again for next year, highly recommended.

The hotel opened by the Chinese, the room is quite spacious, clean, and the service is very good. Going right and going forward, there are two Cantonese restaurants. The one is called Jin Jade, which is very delicious. The amount is too big to eat. There is a horse carriage opposite the golden jade. Yes, Cantonese style morning tea is not bad, in short, the location is good.

Booked one night to stay at this Motel in a studio room. Booked a second night after seeing how clean the room was and the facilities provided. Despite being on a busy road the room we had was quiet and the bed was really comfortable. Toiletries were provided as well and tea and coffee making equipment, microwave, toaster plus a little fridge. Free wi fi and parking were a bonus. Would certainly stay here again.

This motel seems to be run by Chinese. When I arrived to check in I was left waiting in the reception area for maybe 15 minutes. The insincere apology was worthless. Upon check in to my room I could hear the woman in the adjoining room screaming into her cellphone. I tolerated this for some time but after several phone calls by my new neighbour, I returned to reception to express my concern. The same Chinese woman told me residents “have their rights” so I enquired if the “resident” was a social housing customer. I was assured this was not the case, but having observed the next door neighbour it is very evident she is a social housing tenant. She is extremely noisy, having no regard for anyone but herself. Be aware this badly managed motel appears to have a mix of social housing clients and the more traditional, respectable type of customer. You can likely do much better than staying at Tudor Court.

We stayed 5 nights (approx $175/night 2ppl but got a discount for early booking), first 3 were fine. Location handy to upmarket supermarket and boutique cinema in one direction, supermarket and train station several blocks in other, ASB showgrounds 500m. Walkable to Cornwall Park, One Tree Hill and Stardome observatory. Room wasn't ready when we arrived but friendly reception offered hot drinks or water while we waited. We had requested a carpark suitable for large ute and were given one of only 2 rooms (1&2) that didn't require stairs and had parking right outside the door, great because I had lots of gear for long weekend event. If parking had been full we wouldn't have been able to turn around though, it was pretty tight. A bit noisy there, could hear main rd and people using the stairs for the front 3 upper flats and manager's accommodation. Unit could do with some maintenance but generally clean and tidy. Sliding (back) door unsuitable for fire exit - hard to open. Shower a lil dangerous, high step in and out and water pressure so good it went EVERYWHERE until we got used to it. Wifi dropped out occassionally. Lovely lady came around about 9-10am each day to change towels and vacuumed a spot I advised I'd spilt sugar on, but that was the only housekeeping during our stay. Reception often unattended - it was easier to call on the ”intercom” (room phone) even during office hours. So generally comfy. Then things changed.... INCONSIDERATE event hosted by staff! 4th night, manager or reception staff had a party (Diwali? 27/10/19) with fireworks that they were letting off on the other side of the main road so they could watch from the front balcony, with a hospital 200m and active farm 600m away. About 10pm one went off so close to our rooms myself and our neighbour both went out to investigate in case it hit our vehicles. We could smell the gunpowder strongly on the premises, but the party claimed it wasn't them (couldn't hear any other fireworks nearby and the box was by the motel rubbish bin the next day!). We could hear the running up and down the stairs right outside our door as guests went up to their private on-site residence, and only a few of the rented rooms as the other rooms have another staircase. We could also hear all the laughter from the front balcony. Same with their guests laughing and farewelling each other until AFTER MIDNIGHT in the carpark outside our door until I finally went out and asked them to keep it down. Some of their guests were talking outside our rooms the following night too. As I had LONG, involved days at an event, I was damned tired and this soured me for the rest of the stay. Wouldn't have me so irritated if anyone had come around, owned up and maybe apologised the next day, instead I felt like we were inconsiderate for being there to object. Funnily enough I didn't encounter those staff after the fireworks incident. We had prepaid so we dropped the key in the box on departure.

We (3 friends) enjoyed our 1 night stay. It was a more affordable alternative for us rather than City CBD accommodation on a Saturday night but still being very close and easily accessible to the CBD. We had a very efficient check in, staff were friendly and helpful. Really appreciate the very quick efforts in fixing minor issues that we had. Overall, I’d say a nice place to book for a night or 2. Found this gem on the Great South Rd Greenlane. Just passing thru Auckland and needed a place for one night. After a long day of travel, I checked in at around 7 pm and was welcomed by the most obliging, helpful young lady at reception. Found my room on the 3 rd floor and settled in for the night. Wow, spacious, clean, fully equipped, large flatscreen tv with heaps of channels, mega comfortable bed, updated and clean bathroom, kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, full utensils, capsule coffee maker, toaster..everything at your fingertips. Extremely good value and I will certainly be back next time I am in Auckland. ( ps beware of the towaway zone outside the motel, it's hard to see when you arrive late at night in the dark. Poor Council signage. Cost me 130 bucks to get my car back.)

Sliding (back) door unsuitable for fire exit - hard to open. Shower a lil dangerous, high step in and out and water pressure so good it went EVERYWHERE until we got used to it. Wifi dropped out occassionally. Lovely lady came around about 9-10am each day to change towels and vacuumed a spot I advised I'd spilt sugar on, but that was the only housekeeping during our stay. Reception often unattended - it was easier to call on the ”intercom” (room phone) even during office hours. So generally comfy. Then things changed.... INCONSIDERATE event hosted by staff! 4th night, manager or reception staff had a party (Diwali? 27/10/19) with fireworks that they were letting off on the other side of the main road so they could watch from the front balcony, with a hospital 200m and active farm 600m away. About 10pm one went off so close to our rooms myself and our neighbour both went out to investigate in case it hit our vehicles. We could smell the gunpowder strongly on the premises, but the party claimed it wasn't them (couldn't hear any other fireworks nearby and the box was by the motel rubbish bin the next day!). We could hear the running up and down the stairs right outside our door as guests went up to their private on-site residence, and only a few of the rented rooms as the other rooms have another staircase. We could also hear all the laughter from the front balcony. Same with their guests laughing and farewelling each other until AFTER MIDNIGHT in the carpark outside our door until I finally went out and asked them to keep it down. Some of their guests were talking outside our rooms the following night too. As I had LONG, involved days at an event, I was damned tired and this soured me for the rest of the stay. Wouldn't have me so irritated if anyone had come around, owned up and maybe apologised the next day, instead I felt like we were inconsiderate for being there to object. Funnily enough I didn't encounter those staff after the fireworks incident. We had prepaid so we dropped the key in the box on departure.

Location handy to upmarket supermarket and boutique cinema in one direction, supermarket and train station several blocks in other, ASB showgrounds 500m. Walkable to Cornwall Park, One Tree Hill and Stardome observatory. Room wasn't ready when we arrived but friendly reception offered hot drinks or water while we waited. We had requested a carpark suitable for large ute and were given one of only 2 rooms (1&2) that didn't require stairs and had parking right outside the door, great because I had lots of gear for long weekend event. If parking had been full we wouldn't have been able to turn around though, it was pretty tight. A bit noisy there, could hear main rd and people using the stairs for the front 3 upper flats and manager's accommodation. Unit could do with some maintenance but generally clean and tidy. The hotel opened by the Chinese, the room is quite spacious, clean, and the service is very good. Going right and going forward, there are two Cantonese restaurants. The one is called Jin Jade, which is very delicious. The amount is too big to eat. There is a horse carriage opposite the golden jade. Yes, Cantonese style morning tea is not bad, in short, the location is good.

We were a group of 9 people (2 adults and 7 youth) and we had booked a 6 bedroom and a 4 bedroom apartment. Upon arriving at the Best Western we were advised that we had been given a free room upgrade from a 4 bedroom to a 7 bedroom suite. It was fantastic with enough room for everyone to join in together in one of the apartments for meals etc. In both apartments we had a main bedroom downstairs with kitchen, bathroom etc and then upstairs were the additional beds with own bathroom. Kitchens were big enough for us to cook and make lunches for our day trips. Everything was clean and tidy. The only unfortunate thing was that the 6 bedroom apartment had a lingering smell of fish emanating from the fridge but it was clean and we managed to ignore it.

This motel seems to be run by Chinese. When I arrived to check in I was left waiting in the reception area for maybe 15 minutes. The insincere apology was worthless. Upon check in to my room I could hear the woman in the adjoining room screaming into her cellphone. I tolerated this for some time but after several phone calls by my new neighbour, I returned to reception to express my concern. The same Chinese woman told me residents “have their rights” so I enquired if the “resident” was a social housing customer. I was assured this was not the case, but having observed the next door neighbour it is very evident she is a social housing tenant. She is extremely noisy, having no regard for anyone but herself. Be aware this badly managed motel appears to have a mix of social housing clients and the more traditional, respectable type of customer. You can likely do much better than staying at Tudor Court.

We stayed here on the evening of the all black match. Hotel was clean and tidy, room type was a Super king. Bed and pillows were great , room was clean and tidy. Bottle water in fridge. Outlook from window was motorway. Free parking. Only downside is the smoke alarm has a flashing yellow light a few times each minute Reception staff were professional a day friendly. Less than 5 minute walk to Westfield Newmarket. Would happily stay again. Room 2012

We were looking for somewhere affordable with two bedrooms and free parking. As we were only planning to spend two jet-lagged nights there, location did not have to be prime. This place fit the bill. There is a nice mall (Westfield Newmarket) that is a short walk away. The only issue I had was receiving a package here. I had notified hotel staff in advance, and I was hoping to find it waiting in my room when I arrived. Unfortunately because no one told me to put the office room number in the address, the package was returned by NZ Post. The staff member on duty did try to help me track it down. By then there was no point in redelivering as I would be off to my next destination.
