South Pacific Memories

We had a fantastic 5-day stay at South Pacific Memories, which is an absolutely beautiful, peaceful spot on the coast not far from Port Vila. Being able to snorkel and scuba dive by just walking down to the beach each day was a huge treat, and we saw an amazing array of colourful fish, corals, sea stars and anemones. Our only disappoin**ent was that we didn't spot a dugong, but that just means we'll have to return to try again! The accommodation at the hotel is extremely comfortable, with large rooms and bathrooms all decorated beautifully and with everything we could possibly need. In addition, the meals were fabulous, with Andrea and team providing a great variety of delicious things for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we particularly appreciated the beautiful touches for our group's big birthday dinner. Finally, a big thank you to our hosts Anne and Petter, who could not have been more welcoming, helpful and accommodating. Those of us who hadn't scuba dived before were looked after brilliantly on a trial dive with them, and they provided us all with the equipment and information we needed to explore the underwater world on their doorstep. They also helped arrange some local outings and transport for our entire stay, which we really appreciated.

Unique, elegant, and welcoming - South Pacific Memories is filled with flowers, art, and charm - with delicious food, gentle staff, and excellent dive instructors. The rooms are polished, bathroom and bed are up to European standards, and the handpainted murals make the space divine. I can’t say enough about the ambience - huge trees, Turkish lamps, and great conversation. If you find yourself there, you are among good company. There is room to park at the resort, and right outside the gate is village life Vanuatu. You don’t have far to go to see local lifestyles, but keep your eyes open when looking at the water as well - whales, dugongs, and rays are among the frequent visitors to the cove out front.

Beautiful oceanfront setting with relaxing and peaceful a**osphere. Hosts Ann and Petter welcoming and helpful, offering plenty of local insights. In-house chef Andreas provides fresh and healthy dinners. A little remote but easy to commute to town via local buses. Expanse of beach and reef to explore right out the front (hosts provide expert guidance and equipment as required). Well tended native garden, comfortable and very clean facilities with excellent and attentive staff. Would definitely stay again.

Tucked away near Pango point, South Pacific Memories was a wonderful surprise. The location and grounds are stunning, especially in the afternoon and evening. Petter and Anne are consummate hosts, great chefs, and serious divemasters. We can't wait for an excuse to go back.

Absolutely delighted to be at South Pacific Memories with lovely hosts. Perfect location at the beach with delicious and healthy fresh food. The bungalows are of high standard and cleanliness. Not a single boring day with insane diving and marine life and 5 minutes from the surf! What more can you ask for?

Such an amazing eco-friendly place with amazing hosts, service and food. Dishes prepared by Anne and Petter are very delicious, nutritious and filling. A lot of activities are available for guests, like petanque, diving, kayaking, swimming etc.. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable and nice place, South Pacific Memories is perfect for you.

We stayed there with our kids and loved the ambiance of the place. Peter and Anna are great hosts, gentle and happy to help anytime. My daughter did her first intro dive and loved it. We all loved our stay!

Incredible location, amazing service, the best food! A very nice place to stay, will give you a feeling of a private island retreat with all benefits of a modern world. Staff is incredibly welcoming, a lot of activities to explore the nature of Vanuatu. Extra recommendations for diving, even for beginners - you’ll feel very safe during your underwater experience. You will be surprised how good the food is, with a lot of healthy meal options too.

A week in paradise is the best way to describe this place and it’s lovely hosts Anne & Petter. The place has the most stunning views but also the details like fresh flowers on our table every morning made us feel more than welcome. The outdoor are is a**ospheric at night with the fairy lights hanging from the trees and the wonderful garden and direct access to the beach in daytime was a bliss. We tried diving for the first time, safely guided by our hosts and loved it. The staff is very friendly and the Italian chef Andrea made every meal a feast.
