"Onlangs verbleven bij de Witte Swan voor 4 nachten. We waren in een groep van 5. We hadden een geweldig verblijf hier met behulp van het hotel als basis. Ontbijt was fantastisch met een geweldige keuze. We hebben hier ook gegeten in de avond en het eten was uitstekend, elke avond had speciale op het menu, zondag was onze favoriete met kalkoen en alle trimmings. De kamers waren perfect voor wat we nodig hadden en de bedden waren zeer comfortabel. Het personeel heeft deze verblijf met iedereen en iedereen plezier om te spreken en service was uitzonderlijk. Als we volgend jaar terug zijn in het gebied, zullen we nergens anders naar accommodatie zoeken."

"We had dinner here last night (26.6.26) in this lovely Inn. We had seafood salad and pressed ham hock for starters and we both had haddock and chips for mains. The food was beautifully presented and delicious with great service. We loved that local producers were supported throughout the menu. There is also a great beer garden out the back. We will definitely return and recommend."

Green Hope Guest House ★★★

"Our first visit to Green Hope and, I hope, it will not be the last. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed just being there in such a peaceful location, with such a pleasant outlook. The suite of rooms are all but perfect, for a couple, wheelchair users or solo travellers. (One small point: the switches for the bedside lamps are difficult to find and operate in the dark). And there are two "Sitooteries,**" each with stepped access, for use by the guests. One a Gazebo by the flat; the other, about fifty yards away, a Summer House with a veranda, overlooking the river. Alison and Bill, the owners living nearby, are very helpful when needed, but not intrusive. Perfect hosts. **"Sitootery:" A place to sit in/on, outside of the main dwelling. From the "Doric Language of North East Scotland "Sit Oot" ie "Sit Out/Outside.""

"The Coach House is in a quiet secluded location between Chirnside and Allanton. It's extremely peaceful and a great place to relax and unwind. The cottage is spacious and comfortable with all the amenities you need for your stay. Liz is very helpful and was available to answer any questions. It's a perfect place to stay for the Jim Clark Rally and I highly recommend it!"
