Hotels bij Corniche, Doha

It was great! We arrived very early ( before 7:30am ) and never expected our room ( superior room double queen ) to be ready. But indeed the night manager was there to extend a very warm welcome and served us drinks and damp towels to freshen up , then proposed to show us another room if we were interested so we had a choice. So he brought us to view both---the one we originally booked and a one bedroom apartment in another building that he thought we might want to see. We found the latter more spacious and brighter and the affable manager immediately offered us a complimentary upgrade even before we made our decision. So we eventually went for the apartment and within minutes all our suitcases were brought up. The nice apartment has a living room cum a dining area , and a small balcony. There is an open kitchen with complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge, plus assorted tea sachets and coffee capsules. Fresh bottled water replenished daily and it were the little things they put after housekeeping left that made the stay extra comfy e.g. the little book mark placed on one of our books, or extra velcro ties for our cables and chargers casually lying around the desk. The main bathroom is spacious with all the toiletries daily replenished while there is a separate toilet at one end. In the living room there is a nook with a desk and stationery, plus all the cables and cords for any type of phones and gadgets. We never had to ask for iron and ironing board because they were already provided, placed inside the wardrobe. The safe was not functioning properly ---failed to lock when we first checked in, but soon they sent some technician up and got it fixed the next day. Bedding is starched white , very clean and very white. Air con is at a comfy temperature although it was over 44C when we were there it was never too uncomfortably chilly. Concierge is pleasant and helpful and UBER taxis are convenient. There is a Harrods cafe just down the hotel pathway, a rough 3-4 minutes walk , plus other restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours in the area. There is a Chinese restaurant that is under MO that boasts the best Chinese cuisine in Doha. The Souq Waqif is within walking distance, but the place only comes alive after 5pm when the sun is less scorching. In the day time hardly a soul is found on the streets. People just flock to malls. There in the souq you can find rows and rows of shops selling herbs and perfumes, clothes and shoes, as well as restaurants, cafes , grocery stores and souvenir shops. MO Doha is in a safe area even after midnight because at night there are security guards stationed at almost all street corners where the streets all link up and lead you back to the hotel. Doha people are friendly and nice , and Doha is a very disciplined and safe place so there is no problem for anyone , or specifically women , to venture out on their own any time of the day or night. MO Doha certainly has top security at every entrance and exit , the hotel is very clean and comfortable albeit the shower could be a bit more powerful. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The Hospitality of the St Regis Hotel in Doha is second to none, from the reception to the room was so clean and the view from the room was marvelous, the food in the Chinese restaurant, the morning breakfast and the swift response of the staffs was very hospitable, also complementary transportation within the hotel with the carrier is mind blowing. Not forgetting the complementary water and towel by the beach side and also at the pool side was wow and cooling to the mind considering the weather. I would love to go back someday

De lakens waren erg vies en er waren veel insecten gevangen. Ik verschoonde de lakens de volgende dag en er waren nog steeds insecten, maar het was beter dan de eerste dag. Omdat we een vroege vlucht naar Doha hadden, kwamen we bovendien rond 7 uur aan bij het hotel. Toen was de man bij de receptie erg aardig en vertelde ons dat de kamers vol waren Het zou rond 10.00 uur zijn, uiterlijk om 10.00 uur. U kunt om 11.00 uur inchecken. We kochten ontbijt en gingen eerst ontbijten. Toen we rond dezelfde tijd de receptie gingen vragen, vertelde iemand anders ons direct dat er geen ruimte was en dat we moesten wachten. Onze houding veranderde 180 graden. We wachtten nog een uur en het was waarschijnlijk rond 11 uur. We vroegen het opnieuw, en hij zei direct drie uur 's middags op een zeer slechte manier. We namen niet de moeite om op hem te letten en gingen rechtstreeks naar de Waqif-markt aan de overkant een wandeling. Uiteindelijk ingecheckt rond 14.00 uur. Hoewel ze gelijk hebben, is hun inchecktijd 15 uur, maar de laatste van de twee recepties is duidelijk discriminerend. De service was bevredigend omdat de ontbijtkelner, portiers en andere obers zeer warm en vriendelijk waren.

Really loved the hotel - best points include: - Range of restaurants - Two pools! - Sports bar - Room service - Spa - Cafe Quieter location but still really quick to be able to get around all of Doha and Qatar

Aan de faciliteiten viel niets aan te merken. Het zwembad en het strand waren heerlijk. De clubkamer die we geboekt hadden, was goed. Ook het ontbijt viel erg in de smaak. De service was overal prima. Kortom, het hotel maakte de vijfsterrenstatus volledig waar.

This is a very nice hotel. Very kind staff and accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed our stay. All things are high quality, good service! The food is amazing. The breakfast, and the dinner we tried them and they never disappoint! We will come back to this hotel hopefully and truly, it is worth it! A beautiful hotel but falls short of 5 star service. The service received was pretty inconsistent as some members of staff and certain situations were dealt with to a top standard but the hotel fell short in other areas. The poolside was not staffed so on our 2 days that we spent there (would have spent more but it was boring), there was nothing provided to eat or drink. Spending time by the pool is a big part of my holiday so this was really disappointing. When I enquired with a staff member, I was told it is un-manned due to a lack of guests using the pool. This wasnt an acceptable reason. The other situation I had was when I asked if I could change money using my contactless card (we forgot our bank cards!) - 2 members of staff said it is possible then when I went to change the money, the manager(Nicole) came and advised that it actually isnt possible. Very unprofessional. Check-in was really nice and Kartik was friendly and helpful. The gentleman at the door was very, very helpful in all matters and 2 members of staff at Alnafourah were also very helpful and friendly. We watched football at Alnafourah and we were treated well and nicely accommodated. Another incident occured when we came back to our room following a visit to the pool and having had our room made up, there were no towels! I had to call twice to housekeeping to advise them as they took so long to respond then when a member from housekeeping arrived, he told me the towels will take an hour to arrive! Never experienced something like this at a 5 star hotel. I had to go down to reception to resolve the situation and I will say that Nicole did sort it out immediately, the housekeeping manager visited our room to apologise and provided a complimentary fruit bowl. Nicole also offered a wonderful gesture by giving us complimentary entrance to a beautiful 'brunch by the pool' evening dinner. This was a lovely gesture as the food on offer was delightful. The gesture was very much appreciated. The location of the hotel isnt the best as there isnt too much to do in the area but taxis are so easy to get, this isnt too much of an issue. Overall, a really nice hotel but in my opinion, falls short of 5 star standard but does provide good value for the price. Nice but I wouldn't stay here again. Overall service needs improvement.

We the SINGH family from the UK (consisting of me and my wife, along with 2 adult sons) stayed at Double Tree by Hilton Al Sadd Hotel in Doha, for 4 nights, during a recent multi country trip family holiday, and truly enjoyed the experience. The front security officers (eg. Moses, Jacob) were always happy, respectful and courteous in doing their jobs. The front desk staff (including Houssem, Krishna, Job, to name a few), were welcoming, efficient and helpful, and always called out or waved, and stopped for friendly chat. It was a great pleasure to actually meet with Renata who had been very proactive in answering all of my email questions prior to our booking with the hotel and assuring me that our pure vegetarian food requirements (ie. No meat, fish or eggs or dishes containing any of these items) for breakfast items would be fully met by the restaurant team. The restaurant team were absolutely fantastic. Mitzie welcomed us every morning into the restaurant for breakfast and always checked to ensure everything was ok, etc. Rony especially took care of all our dietary needs and always went above and beyond his role, and surprised us with at least one new item each morning, such as special healthy fruit power-shot or fruit juice or special dishes made to order and served us tea the way we like it. Chef’s Karan and Yousef made time to come and speak with us and offer other dishes. Basanta, Rhea and Nisha also looked after us very well and always stopped to offer advice on places to visit etc and discuss our plans for the day. Housekeeping staff (including Saibu, Jamuna, Horace, Sanjeev) were amazing and super friendly, and checked if we needed anything extra. Horace and Sanjeev surprised us several times with amazing art work of a lotus flower and pair of swans made from rolled towels - absolutely brilliant! So many special memories of this hotel and staff members, that we will treasure for a long time, and also captured on camera. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE (I AM SURE I HAVE MISSED MANY NAMES), FOR MAKING OUR STAY SO AMAZING AND MEMORABLE. Another positive is that the hotel is very conveniently located for transport modes - taxi and metro station, and local shopping facilities and restaurants. We found a fabulous pure vegetarian Indian restaurant called Bhojan as well as a Tofu House only one street away - 5 minutes walk from the hotel.. So definitely 5 stars plus for this hotel, staff and its convenient location.

Het hotel werd gekozen op basis van de prijs en de nabijheid van de luchthaven. Er was een probleem met een taxi, dus namen we de metro. Terwijl we 's avonds van de metro en 's ochtends terug liepen, kwamen we onderweg duistere persoonlijkheden tegen met een of andere vorm van oplichting. Wees voorzichtig rond het marktgebied. Het hotel zelf is mooi, de kamer is klein, maar het was oké voor ons voor 1 nacht. Alles is schoon, goede badkamer. Ik vond het ontbijt niet lekker. We kwamen een half uur voor het einde aan en er was niets. Het is beter om een ​​beetje te veel te betalen en een hotelketen te nemen met een goed ontbijt. Ik ga hier geen t****e keer heen.

De locatie van het hotel is gemakkelijk te vinden en er is parkeergelegenheid. Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk en heeft onze bagage naar de kamer gebracht. Bij binnenkomst in de lobby stond een bagagescanner. Mijn rijstkoker werd door de beveiliging ingenomen omdat koken niet toegestaan was. Ze bewaarden hem voor me en ik kreeg hem pas terug bij het uitchecken. De kamer was niet groot, maar wel schoon en netjes, en de faciliteiten waren vrij nieuw. Wel was er een zacht, laag zoemend geluid van de airconditioning, afkomstig van buiten het schijnraam. De algehele prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was goed en de locatie was erg handig voor uitstapjes.
