"Nice Hotel in a lovely location...the problem is the staff. I'm not sure if it's lack of customer service because they are not trained properly or because they are simply rude. Out of the staff we did see during our stay I would say ten per cent of them knew how to converse with the guests...some said they did not speak/understand English (turns out they did) and made it difficult to converse as a guest - not ideal. The main issue I have with this Hotel is the service particularly in the restaurants - terrible and very poor attitude. Whilst the Hotel is trying to be 'eco' the price of a room does not reflect what is on offer - the rooms are nice, spacious and clean but there is no housekeeping service although reception tell you there is - the bed is made and thats it....so, you basically pay for the room but don't expect anything else"

"Off season, spoke with the staff, they were super friendly. Lovely, simple hotel! The room was large, clean and charming. Previous guests had problems with access and lack of hospitality. In fact there are two hotels ran by the same staff. The fancier hotel (Lou Calen) have staff in the reception and in the restaurant. It’s a few steps across the street and they will help you with a physical key etc. I revisited Cotignac after 17 years, it is still a lovely village to visit! The WiFi certificate still needs to be updated 🙂"

"Hier zijn geen woorden voor!!! Denis en Sylvie zijn de meest perfecte gastheer en gastvrouw. Hun lach, gevoel voor humor, gastvriendelijkheid,... Denis maakt elke avond een betoverend diner klaar waar geen woorden voor zijn hoe lekker dit is! Sylvie zorgt ervoor dat le mas de Cotignac er onberispelijk proper bijligt zowel de kamers, zwembad, tuin,... Wij zijn hier tot rust gekomen en dit dankzij dit prachtig verblijf en deze twee prachtige mensen! Een uniek iets! Nogmaals bedankt! Les petits Belges!"
