"From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave everything and everyone is perfect. Our room (number 4) was enormous. It is basically one very large room with a lounge area and then the bedroom area and then the bathroom with a sliding door so it can be shut off. There are doors opening onto the garden and swimming pool. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There is plenty of choice for breakfast with anything cooked freshly prepared. In summary a fantastic place to stay."

"Heerlijk guesthouse op een centrale plek in Constantia. Zeer gastvrije en flexibele eigenaresse en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ruime kamers, heerlijke bedden en heerlijk ontbijt. Vanaf het guesthouse zijn de restaurants in een paar minuten per Uber te bereiken. De drankjes uit honestybar zijn zeer goedkoop.."

"The Cellars-Hohenhort is a lovely place to stay in the Constantia area. It was a quick drive from Cape town International airport. We used the official taxi stand and the price to get there was 550 Rand. The property is so beautiful and the staff is really nice. We are Hilton diamond and no upgrade was available. We booked on points and had the lowest level room. It was up on the the third floor and there is no lift. Luckily, the bell staff carried our luggage up. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious. We could see in to some of the other rooms during the cleaning service and they looked like they had really nice views. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We missed seeing the resident tortoise outside so we may need to make another trip to South Africa."

"This was recommended by some friends. A small hotel tucked away in the hills of Constantia. We had a car which was great as there is a lot to do in the area. Use black Ubers for going into town at night. Our room was lovely. Beautifully clean and had everything except I missed having a facecloth! The hotel lets you bring food into the hotel if you wish. There is a microwave in the communal area. We actually wanted a few early starts and so did our own breakfasts. The breakfast doesn’t really start until 8:30 , it’s good though and you can have cooked if you wish. Ask for a quiet room not below the deck area as you can get some noise from people walking above you. Outside quite a lot of traffic noise but you don’t hear it in the room."

From the beautiful surroundings and luxurious accommodation to the outstanding food and warm hospitality, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations. What truly sets Glen Avon Lodge apart is the incredible attention to detail. Small touches such as the daily weather report cards left in our room, and returning from dinner to find the bed turned down and the curtains thoughtfully drawn, made our stay feel extra special and showed the care that goes into every guest experience. A heartfelt thank you to Matthew, who always makes guests feel welcome and valued. Special thanks as well to Solomon and Debra in the kitchen for the wonderful meals. The meals on site were first class, made with great care, and every special request we had was catered for with great attention to detail. At the front of house, Ashley, Tobias, and Beauty were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to assist with anything we needed.
