Average hotel - good location. The rooms are very small, and the walls are a bit thin; I could hear someone singing next door. Housekeeping was rude; I had DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door, and they knocked before checkout asking if I had checked out—well before noon. Most likely won’t be back.

The shower had zero water pressure. And when I say zero I literally had to head out and buy baby wipes.

We were here to visit my son who recently relocated from NYC to Chicago. At first the room nice and clean, the second night I came back to dirty sheets with chocolate on them which grossed me out and I put a towel over it so I could sleep. There were also gum wrappers in the corner of room under coffee machine

The property was amazing. The artwork was on point and the staff was very kind. Loved my stay and would definitely recommend.

The décor of the Versey is annoying (garish pop culture nostalgia for baby boomers, of which I am one, and GenX) but so what? It's a block from my mom's assisted living facility, it's quiet, clean, reasonably priced, and the staff leaves you alone to come and go unless you need something, in which case they're super friendly and helpful. You can choose more or less room cleaning service for eco or privacy reasons. The neighborhood is delightful, a nice walk from Lincoln Park, the nature museum, and the zoo, lots of little stores, cafés, and restaurants, good transportation.
