We stayed at the Kempinski for two nights and were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded our room to a higher category upon arrival. The room had a bath and all the necessary amenities. The staff was friendly and welcoming, although there were some language challenges. They made an effort to help with translation apps when needed.
The room service was expensive, even for local Chinese cuisine. If you order food from outside, you have to pick it up in the lobby as they don't offer room delivery.
The lobby restroom was dirty and needs improvement.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay with the unexpected room upgrade and friendly staff. 👍

As always, Kempinski sets itself apart with outstanding service and excellent facilities, the one in Changsha is no exception. Everything, from the handwritten welcome note in the room, to the quality of the room service delivered late at night, is of exceptional quality. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The buffet breakfast selection is extensive and of the highest standard. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
