From the minute we arrived at this Exceptionally placed Hotel, we were made to feel at Home. The Staff are genuinely friendly relaxing and warm. From Vincenzo showing us the Beautiful Orange Garden Terrace, the Pool staff, the super helpful recieption ladies,the excellent Breakfast team, to the immaculate clean fresh rooms made up by the Friendly Ladies Team. Breakfast is perfect with an incredibe selection, with Cakes more than you can eat, and Full Continental in a Fresh,Airy Breakfast room, the Staff attentive and friendly fun. The Hotel is Top Quality in superb location. We chilled both by the quiet sheltered Pool, which is clean beautiful, and a short stroll to Beach with a superb 180 Mountain Vista. Dining out each night in Town you are spoilt for choice for excelelnt ambience Restaurants in this Warm, well designed lighting labarynth of Via's and views. Beautiful hotel, staff were amazing and so helpful. would definitely go back. It is great as a 3 star hotel, the staff treated us much better than that. The breakfast was the only thing that let it down. All the hot food was in the same container so no good for cross contamination or for vegetarians. The place was clean and the staff gave us everything we asked for.

Honestly there are not enough words to express what we feel about this place. It started as a lovely little 3 night trip planned for myself, husband, son and daughter in law. As promised the hotel had arranged our transfers .. bang on time and perfect. The hotel looked like a true diamond in the rough - stunning in every way, relaxing, great location, spotlessly clean and fabulous breakfast. Friendly staff at both reception and at breakfast….. however then the drama started… On our second day our flight was cancelled and the earliest flight home meant we would have to stay 3 extra nights (shame). Unfortunately the hotel had no room for us, but they did have a new apartment (20 minute walk away) by the beach for a great price.. perfect we thought! Then the next day I was struck with food poisoning (not from the hotel I might add)… I was very unwell.. spent the rest of our time in the hotel in bed. But it was then time to move to the apartment (no way I could walk) so they arranged a member of staff to drive us and show us in to the apartment. The apartment was stunning 5*. I ended up spending the rest of the holiday in bed and then in hospital for 24 hours, but the service didn’t stop. The hotel knew I was unwell, kept in touch with my family ensuring the continued to enjoy themselves, asking how I was, offering assistance etc. I was discharged from hospital the evening before we left for home.. the hotel arranged a taxi from the apartment back into the town for me to enjoy my last night without having to walk. That’s not to mention the beautiful couple who lived beneath the apartment who arranged hospital taxi etc. I haven’t even mentioned just how beautiful the area is, at first glance a little rough around the edges but such charm and by night the most magical and romantic of places… the people are stunning in every way. I know this is a long winded review but I wanted to express the next level service, compassion and pure perfection that is this hotel and their staff.

Castellammare del Golfo is my mothers home town and I love to go and visit family and friends. I usually stay in my families home but it is in the middle of renovations so I chose to stay at Marina di Petrolo for my stay and it was the best decision I could have ever made. the location is perfect, you're walking distance from lots of great restaurants and attractions, amazing views from your room and the staff and hospitality were fantastic. On my last day I decided to splurge and booked a Relax massage; great way to wind down before taking my long flight back home to New York. Giuseppe my massage therapist was great he set a very relaxing zen atmosphere. The massage lasted an hour and I was so relaxed I fell asleep midway through. Will for sure be booking another massage next time I am in town!
