Hotel Terramar

I regret booking this hotel for my holiday in calella spain. The hotel is old and dirty, the staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, and the food is awful and boring. The room was tiny, smelly, and noisy, the bed was hard and squeaky, and the bathroom was disgusting and broken. The Wi-Fi was useless, and the TV did not work at all. The pool was small and filthy, and the beach was crowded. The hotel is in a dull and noisy area, with nothing to see or do nearby. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a nice holiday in calella spain.

We went to this hotel and was a bit paranoid after reading all the reviews. I can honestly say the only thing that ruined our experience here was the other self centred guests. The hotel was clean, the staff were lovely especially Tony (believe it or not after all the reviews) if you’re polite with him, he’s polite with you. The food is pretty basic yes, but when you’re paying for a cheap hotel then what do you expect?? We wouldn’t personally go back here but the only reason why is because of the type of people the hotel attracts. People moan about the food yet they’re quick enough to queue outside the dining room door before it opens, then pile their plates up as much as they can so other people have to wait for more food. We ended up eating out most times and this is not down to the hotel, just the people that go there. I think if this hotel puts their prices up they will do a lot better, especially with the location .

Well to begin with....we were met by some drunken guests saying if you're going to stay here don't eat the food because its awful, the staff are rude etc. Well we had a lovely surprise!!. The food was very good,we only stayed 4 nights so not sure how repetitive it was. The rooms were cleaned daily the shower was amazing . The only downfall was everybody's balconies were open so no privacy at all. The people writing the bad reviews are the people who pay pennies and expect the world. I would return without a doubt. Also Tony the bar man was very polite to us because we were polite to him not like a lot other bits who were there

Worst all inclusive hoilday ever been to, all staff rude, ibhad no lights for 2 days , the food always the same never a decent choice, room not to bad clean, but would never stay here again AVOID, Tony the bar man very rude and ladies In reception rude only nice staff was kitchen staff, but food was horrible and no butter for toast couple times, never will we stay here again, location lovely

Very outdated beds was like sleeping on concrete not much food to choose from on all inclusive I am diabetic they had no zero added drinks they all had sugar in worst hotel I stayed in would not recommend

This is the worst hotel I have ever stopped in! Please believe me when I say, do not go and all reviews are true. Tony the barman was so rude and all he did was swear and mutter nasty stuff to me and my children. Would only serve me one drink and wouldn’t even give me a drink for my small children. The food was not edible and there was no children’s option. We had to eat out every night!

The barman Tony was rude ad abrupt the food was just about eatable run out of white lemonade on first night snacks were left overs from breakfast needs updated we had to book another hotel for remainder of our holiday please read reviews and believe them

After booking this early in the year, we read the reviews and were a little wary to say the least..... but we were wrong! Good points - Hotel was clean, well maintained and well staffed, our room was absolutely perfect, great view of the sea too so made it all the better. Food at the hotel doesn't suit everyone but we always found something to eat when we were in the restaurant, if you are paying as little as everyone does then you cannot expect anything more. Staff here were an absolute delight, the person we saw most was Toni behind the bar, always polite and friendly, (well to us at least but then again we had manners!!!) even took a photo of us 😁 All in all, the hotel itself is absolutely great and well worth a much higher rating than others give! Now for the bad....... The only issue we found with our holiday were some of the other guests. The sense of self entitlement shown by many people and the rude, arrogant manner that some of the 'ladies and gentlemen' (that is sarcasm in case it was unclear) spoke to the staff was embarrassing to the British to say the least! All in all, great hotel, amazing area, just marred a little by the Chavs!
