"Dit is een geweldige keuze voor gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Er zijn twee slaapkamer appartementen en ze bieden kousen en hoge stoelen gratis. We gebruikten de hoge stoelen en ze waren nieuw en veilig. Het zwembad is geweldig, maar niet verwarmd. Kinderen zullen het leuk vinden, ouders zullen binnenkomen op zondige dagen. De appartementen zijn zo centraal gelegen. Ga naar de bakker, IGA, veel plekken te eten. Het is vlak naast de enige openbare speeltuin op het eiland en ze hebben een toegangspoort direct naar het. Goed voor toddlers/preschoolers. Er is ook een klein skatepark en een rugbyveld. Je moet een dag vooraf om nieuwe handdoeken vragen die een beetje vervelend is (tenzij je 8 dagen verblijft - we 7 dagen verbleven). Het internet is gratis maar kwaad. Download alles wat je nodig hebt voordat je gaat of overgaat naar de pizza plek, die een fantastisch internet heeft. Als je hier wilt werken, moet je een lokale sim krijgen om je eigen internet gebeurt. Het personeel is vriendelijk, alles is schoon, er zijn gasten wasserij ($5 per lading, $5 voor de droger) en vele heuvels om nat gereedschap te drogen (als het niet regent!). Geef wat binnenactiviteiten voor de kidlets. De helft van onze week was nat en geen ABC-kinderen op de tv (ze hebben andere stations, niet alles). De Olive Cafe heeft kinderen speelgoed en boeken. Prinke Eco Store heeft seizoensfruit, bruine rijstkrakkers en is kindvriendelijk. De lavenderbedrijf heeft kinderen speelgoed en grote gebakte aardappelen (en zondags sesh vibes) - alleen zondag. Bakery is geweldig voor kinderen (en volwassenen!). Ook van bedrijven hebben WiFi beschikbaar voor klanten. Er is een kinderboekswap bij Anglicare, bij de kledingwinkel. Bring een paar goede kwaliteit boeken om te lezen, en voeg ze aan hun collectie. Er is ook een oppwinkel bij het Volksmuseum... die een paar speelgoed had, maar een paar goede speelgoeddonaties kon gebruiken... als je iets meebrengt waar je ouder van bent."

"We were met by Tima who was gracious and welcoming. She showed us to our unit and explained anything we needed to know. We are a group of 4 friends who stayed in unit 10 which has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the breakfast provisions which included eggs bread butter jam juice milk. The unit was clean with comfortable beds and clean bedding and towels . Location is very good with shops and cafes restaurants a short walk away. As mentioned in other reviews the unit is in need of a refresh. The carpet needs to be replaced. Probably new towels as the ones we used , although clean were frayed at the edges. Door trims are in need of a coat of paint. We enjoyed our stay and are hoping to return to Norfolk in the future."

"Het hotel ligt op een fantastische locatie dicht bij het centrum en op 10 minuten rijden naar Kingston. Very friendly hosts The rooms were always clean when we returned from an outing I would buy bakkeries for your brekkie as I don't believe at $25 pp the continental breakfast is good value . Om de kook te bestellen, heb je een feest van tien nodig en vooraf een waarschuwing, iets dat niet geschreven is waar we kunnen vinden Als je een zelfbeheersing eenheid krijgt, zou ik je voorstellen om u groenten te kopen van de slachter over de weg van de luchthaven... haar reeks van groente- en fruitbroodpasta's enz. is veel beter dan de supermarkt ... we willen dat we wisten dat bij aankomst"

"Recently stayed as a Group of 13 at these great cottages. Well set-up & everything was waiting for us on arrival. Unit is very clean & spacious. We took advantage of the meeting room as a gathering spot many times. BBQ area is also very handy. Highly recommend "

"Erg mooi, waar de eenheid is. schone en gezellige grond.Goed barbecue gebied. dicht bij de stad. Ik zou aanbevelen hier te blijven. Veel te zien en te doen op het eiland. Pre-boeking tours is een goed idee voordat je er bent. Ik hou van een auto om rond het eiland te rijden."

"My husband and I spent a lovely week at Poinciana Cottages. Jackie and Peter were great hosts and arranged car hire as part of our package. The package also included a 2 hour orientation tour of the island which is a must to do. We picked up and dropped off the car at the airport and we could keep the car right up until we were ready to leave. Jackie also provides a mobile phone for local use as our usual telco's don't work on the island. We didn't bother buying a tourist SIM card as we also used wifi calling in addition to the mobile provided. The cottage was very comfortable, clean, spacious and very well maintained. Very good wifi. The weather was mild for most of our stay and we didn't need to use any heating or cooling. It rained the last couple of days but we were never cold. The kitchen had everything you needed to do simple cooking, with plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. There is a also a half size dishwasher. Recycling is a big thing on the island so all your rubbish is separated into the usual bins as well as food scraps saved up for Jacqui's chickens to munch on. The cottages are located down a lane very close to the airport. Each has a lovely view from their balcony over the valley behind the cottages. Parking is under cover in a carport at the side of the cottage. There is negligible noise from the airport or main road - nothing at night. The cottages are about a 2 minute drive from the main part of town. There is a cafe next door and another a couple of minutes walk down the road, where there is also a great food and meat store. There is also an under cover BBQ area next to the cottages which is very well set up. Jacqui also provides everything you might need for a picnic - chiller bag, rugs, thermos etc. Norfolk Island is a very interesting place to visit with many places to visit and things to see. A car is needed to really get around at your own pace, but taking organised tours will get you around most of the sights and activities as well. People are very friendly. Many shops close by mid afternoon weekdays, saturday afternoon and sunday. There is a supermarket and a small grocery store which is open every day. Food is very expensive and the availability of fruit and veg can be limited. Meat is comparably priced or even a little cheaper than home. We found it just as cost effective to eat out. The RSL, Bowling Club and nearby Leagues Club all had good, resonably priced meals. We also ate next door at the Bounty Bar and Grill. It was a lovely meal but quite expensive. Nice outdoor eating area. We did 3 tours with Baunti Tours and all were very good (orientation tour, Progressive dinner and Colleen McCullogh House tour). Great guides and not rushed. Hint - if you have a passport take it. If the plane gets diverted because of bad weather, which happened a couple of days while we were there, you'll need it if you end up in NZ or Noumea or somewhere else not Aus. over night (at least you can leave the airport and stay in a hotel!)"

"De accommodatie was fantastisch, de locatie was geweldig had geen problemen. Het is een goede plek om te gaan als je wilt een ontspannen pauze geen druk en bustle. Eten was geweldig en de mensen zijn zo vriendelijk. Je kunt alles doen wat je wilt, of gewoon naar de dag gaan, genoeg om te proberen. Het accent was het zien het schip loslaten."

"Great experience staying in these Villas. Great personal service by the team on arrival. Villas are clean & modern. Area is nice & quiet. Kitchen in the villa if you want to self-cater with everything you need bar a dishwasher. Although the 2 bed unit I believe has one. A short walk to the shopping area if you want to eat at a cafe. Loved sitting out on the balcony each morning & evening. Whilst there wasn't a view as such, it was great to be amongst the greenery. Happy with the price for the Villa for what it contained & how fresh & clean it was"
