Our stay was exactly what we needed, a relaxing weekend to bond with family in such a comfortable place. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and both Johnny and Victoria were wonderful hosts, always attentive to our needs and even exceeding our expectations. The shared space with a beautiful mountain view was perfect for unwinding and simply enjoying the moment. We also loved the breakfast selection, especially the freshly made homemade pandesal, which was a real highlight for us. They also have an amazing cook, Priscilla, who prepared sumptuous and delicious meals for us. Overall, it’s a place I would highly recommend to all types of travellers.

Our stay was truly amazing, made even more special by the excellent accommodation and outstanding service we received throughout our visit. From the very beginning, everything was handled seamlessly, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the experience. A big part of what made our trip so smooth and stress-free was the incredible assistance from the manager, Ethen. She was very easy to talk to, approachable, and genuinely attentive to our needs. Even before we arrived, she had already taken care of all the important arrangements for us. From organizing our pick-up at the port to ensuring a comfortable transfer to the hotel, everything was perfectly coordinated. What impressed us even more was how she helped arrange all our tours. We didn’t have to worry about planning or logistics at all—every activity was thoughtfully scheduled, making our trip both convenient and enjoyable. Her effort and dedication really made a difference, and it felt like we were in very capable hands the entire time. Shoutout also to their staff Kate for ensuring our boat tickets. The accommodation itself was equally wonderful—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing us with the perfect place to rest after our daily activities. Everything about our stay felt organized, relaxing, and enjoyable. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The combination of great accommodation and Ethen’s-the manager exceptional service made our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a hassle-free and well-organized getaway.

Er is een kleine theepot, koffie en groene thee en een kleine koelkast. Ik kon geen föhn of strijkijzer vinden. Het ontbijt is inbegrepen in de prijs, maar is eenvoudig. 2 sneetjes toast, boter, jam, roerei, wat fruit, thee/koffie. U kunt wel iets beters van de kaart bestellen, maar dan moet u wel extra betalen. In het restaurant van het hotel kunt u lunchen en dineren. De prijzen liggen iets hoger dan in de strandrestaurants, maar het eten is erg goed en de porties zijn groot (in tegenstelling tot de strandrestaurants, waar het moeilijk is om goed eten te vinden). Het personeel is erg behulpzaam en doet alles wat je vraagt. Het hotelterrein wordt goed schoongemaakt. Maar er is niet veel ruimte op het strand voor het hotel en er zijn dus ook niet veel ligbedden. Als het hotel vol is, zijn er zeker niet genoeg ligbedden voor iedereen. De ingang naar de zee bestaat uit kiezels en zand. 's Ochtends, als het vloed is, is het aangenaam om het water in te gaan. En na de lunch, als het water zakt, is het minder comfortabel, de kiezels op de bodem komen bloot te liggen, het is een beetje pijnlijk om op blote voeten naar binnen te gaan, het is beter om waterschoenen te dragen. Wat ik niet leuk vond, waren de zwerfhonden. Ze zwerven overal rond, worden niet weggejaagd en zijn niet agressief. Toch krabben, planten ze zich voort en bijten ze voor je ogen. Er lopen handelaren rond die allerlei onzin verkopen, maar ze zijn niet erg opdringerig. Ze blijven je wel lastigvallen, ook als ze je al voor de vijfde keer die dag zien. Over het algemeen kan ik zeggen dat het hotel, voor de Filipijnen, erg goed is. De rest is nog erger)) Maar je moet begrijpen dat dit echte 3*-hotels zijn en dat je geen 4*-service moet verwachten.

Absolutely cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's a litte further down the sea front but tucked away from the noise while still being right on the water. The room was immaculate and spacious, cleaned everyday and (surprisingly) mosquito-free. The resaurant offers fantastic food at a great price and the whole place has a family run vibe. And it's this that I rate so highly about the place. I was solo travelling over the Christmas holiday and the ladies that run the hotel were so so welcoming and friendly.They offered for me to join their Christmas dinner and kept breakfast open to me 15-20 minutes late so I could catch the 9am dive and still eat when I came back. They were all so lovely, it didn't feel like I was alone over the festive period. If I am ever to visit PG again, I'll 100% be staying at Out of the Blue. This hotel is very new and somewhat inconvenient. It is high on a hill which was not very accessible by walking as major roadworks complicated the route and also slowed traffic up and down. While only 10 minutes away from the main Sabang area (climbing down), the climb up made it unpleasant and inconvenient either on foot or in a vehicle. The room was simple with limited facilities (no fridge or TV) and not competitively priced compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast was spam and rice. The pool area was unwelcoming (exposed and bare of furniture). Service and support is pleasant but minimal. The place was empty and a little sad when we stayed (even though the town was busy). We were quite glad to leave. I think the place needs development and is a work in progress and when ready, it might be nice, but not yet.

This is a very cute place to stay! The staff was very friendly, the room was comfortable, and the stay overall was enjoyable. The room was generally clean, with some details overlooked (like previous guest's receipt on the floor and a few other papers around the room, one of the towels was a bit dirty). The hotel only provides a toothbrush and a toothpaste (and shampoo and shower gel in the shower), but I found the lack of a bar of soap disappointing. The location is great, the hotel is right at the beach, and easily accessible. The hotel cafe is adorable, serves good food, and the staff is friendly and polite. As for the provided breakfast, I could choose from the breakfast menu at the cafe, and coffee was served directly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this adorable hotel to anyone visiting, it's charming and worth staying in!

Quite fun place to stay . Room is spacious and the bed is extremely comfortable . I would certainly stay again. Swimming pool is very clean and the restaurant managed by them is very delicious food . Shower 🚿 water pressure is great , and the only disappointment was no curtain in the shower room even tough I informed the front desk about the issue and the mess it causes every time I showered . I highly recommend this place .

This stay is a beautiful cottage in the hills of Sabang. It is a climb to get to through narrow staircases. If you have bad knees or lots of luggage it will be difficult to get to. However, the view from the cottage is amazing at sunrise and sunset, overlooking the water. It offers lots of privacy and an escape from the boardwalk/pier area if you want peace and quiet. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room, there was air conditioning, and the toilet was separated from the shower. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating. I would suggest purchasing breakfast with the room as it was amazing. They serve both western and Filipino breakfast. Overall a great stay if you can manage the hike up there.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. And sadly, it just doesn’t get any better. And they even did a remodel since I was here last. Sad, old hotel that is unfortunately the best that Calapan has to offer. The rooms are clean, the pool is good and the staff very nice, but that’s about all I can say to the positive. No hot water, little in the way of amenities and the breakfast included with the room is just pathetic. All of this and reasonably expensive by Phillipines standards. I had just come from the Lalaguna Villas in Puerto Galera, so the contrasts were extreme. I am currently at the Manila Hotel, so again the contrasts are extreme. There are few options for a hotel in Calapan, they host many weddings and local events. But seriously, someone should open a decent hotel in a capital city of 140,000.
