Royal Hotel

Our 3 days stay was made amazing by the lovely Andrea at the reception. She helped us plan our trip so that we could make the most of our stay. Daily restocking and cleaning were stand outs among one of our best stays. Special thanks to Andrea.

Location was perfect. Right across the train station and the hotel can consider as the starting point of bath spa. Staff was really helpful, they will suggest places to visit if you have no idea where to go.

The advertising pictures look stunning, but the actual room is quite different. The facilities are outdated, and my husband disliked the overhead shower—it felt like being forced to wash his hair even when he didn’t want to. The drainage in the shower was extremely slow, leaving water pooling around our feet. Ventilation in the bathroom was poor, making it uncomfortable. Additionally, the night shift staff were quite rude. That being said, Bath is a beautiful city, and we will definitely return—just not to this hotel.

Very convenient location and nice place for a solo travel trip. Great facilities as well.

The room is in need of general updating, the window needs a good scrub, and the squeaky floorboards...However, the room layout is perfect for three proper single beds as we had wished for, and it is clean and well equipped. Tim at the Reception Desk is the perfect reason to stay at Royal Hotel! Of course the lady who cleaned the rooms is exceptionally responsive and caring. Makes the wet 2-day Bath experience so 'sunny' to us! Thank you Royal Hotel!

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Fantastic Hotel - great location - perfect for the train station and wandering around Bath. Our room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Very good, tasty breakfast. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Thanks for a lovely stay. We’ll definitely be back!

It was so inconvenient and disappointing that on our arrival day we were refused by the reception lady when we asked to leave our luggage s before checking in, for the reason that there is no space . We have no choice but paid extra money to use luggage storage services outside the hotel.

酒店位置超好，就在巴斯火車站對面，去古城各個地方都很方便，工作人員服務態度也不錯，因為是有歷史的酒店，設施有點老了，但現點的英式早餐很好吃超讚！
