Hotels met bar in Nice

The location is near the Nice airport, which is very convenient. The tram and bus stops are right outside the hotel, so you have easy access to the airport, and to the city centers of Nice, Cannes and other locations. The hotel, overall, was clear. They did a good job with the rooms, which were fairly spacious, only there was a bit of confusion about which glass bottles were clean or dirty outside, near the water machine, which is the only way you can get drinking water for the room. The clean bottles were supposed to be on top of the machine outside, near the elevator, but I was unsure if those bottles were actually clean. The service was very good, the team at the front desk was very helpful. There was a small scare when we first arrived, as the hotel said that they did not have our booking in their system (which I had fully paid for in advice, on Trip.com). They made a few phone calls, and we managed to get the 2 rooms that we booked for the five of us (2 adults, 3 children). I should point out that they said I was lucky that they had their last 2 rooms available, which they keep for such emergencies. I did not pay for breakfast, but we did eat the breakfast there twice, and if one adult buys the breakfast (19 euros), then the children are free. That worked well for us, and the children enjoyed the breakfast, as did the adults. There is a swimming pool, which is a small to medium size, and although we didn't use it, saw that many others were enjoying the pool. The gym was a decent size, but there were no free weights, which I like to use, so I did not use the gym. The restaurant connected to the hotel is only open Monday to Friday, and the menu is limited. There is not a great selection of restaurants nearby, but you can order in from others further away, though you will find that they make mistakes. Overall, a good choice for a reasonable hotel near the airport with good access to the cities around.

Gebruikt voor afstudeerreis De heer Joris, die 's nachts bij de receptie werkt, is de meest vriendelijke en aardige persoon. We praatten bijna elke avond, en hij raadde veel restaurants aan en gaf ons aanwijzingen. De kamers waren schoner dan de prijs, en elke kamer had een klein terras, wat geweldig was voor een ontspannen ontbijt. De doucheruimte was ook erg mooi en schoon. Hoewel de lift een ouderwets ontwerp heeft, is het systeem zelf nieuw, waardoor het er cool uitziet en u gemoedsrust geeft. Dit is de eerste keer dat ik een hotel bezoek dat ik zo hoog kan prijzen. Verbleef voor 3 nachten met mijn vriendin. De receptioniste Joris was zo'n aardige vent, hij vertelde ons zoveel over Nice en wat de goede restaurants en bakkers zijn, en gewoon een geweldig persoon. We spraken elke avond over Frankrijk en Japan en het was een genoegen! De kamers waren mooi en schoon, meer dan we hadden kunnen vragen. Alle kamers hebben een balkon waar je van kunt genieten en de doucheruimte was schoon, wit en aangenaam. Ik ben nog nooit in een hotel geweest dat ik meer zou kunnen aanbevelen dan dit.

Ibis Nice-Center Notre-Dame really exceeded my expectations for an Ibis property. The daily breakfasts (while the items didn’t change much) had an adequate spread with very lovely cut fruit, pastries, excellent nuts and seeds selection with yogurt and an egg boiling station which you could make eggs as how you would like them. Their coffee and tea machines were excellent and they even had a cocktail hour with free pastries and bonbons in the late afternoon if you ever wanted a quick snack. The location was excellent. The hotel was on a perpendicular street to the Main Street with the tram line and shopping streets. Lots of eateries around and proximity to the train station meant we were able to go for day trips to Cannes and Monaco with very little hassle. The bathroom was very spacious and I loved that our room had 2 balconies - one in the main room and one opens in the bathroom which helped to keep it dry and not humid after a hot shower. View from our room looked into the next residential building but we didn’t mind that. I often sat on the balcony to enjoy my hot coffee in the cool mornings. We really enjoyed our stay at this property and look forward to retuning in the years to come.

Great hotel and location but not necessarily a 5 star service for reasons as follows: 1. It took 6 hours for our luggage to be taken to our room (it was only 2 rucksacks) which we would have happily carried up to our room ourselves but they insisted on check-in for us to leave for them to do. 2. The rudest restaurant hostess Valentine we have ever met in our many years of travelling and dining - when my husband asked to book a table for dinner, she failed to look up from her notepad and barked loudly and aggressively the words ‘WHAT?’ at him. 3. Restaurant clearly understaffed in the evening and being carried by a few superb waiting staff, namely Ken, whilst others swan around busy with little impact. Food was great and timely (once you could order it). 4. Tried to order a bottle of wine with dinner - Two of the four white wines on the menu were out of stock. Clearly some teething issues with this new hotel, understaffed and poor communication and training. A few excellent staff too. But seemed to lack any meaningful or visible leadership in key client facing areas, which the brigade seemed to need.

The hotel location is strategic, just a 5-minute walk from Nice Saint-Augustin train station. The tram to the airport is free from Grand Arenas station, making transportation very convenient. We booked a Mountain View Twin Room but were given a lower-quality room instead (please refer to the photo). Additionally, we had to request a room change due to a serious bed issue—the mattress was split in half, which was quite shocking as they were still using a damaged mattress for guests. To their credit, the front desk responded immediately and changed our room. However, the new room still did not meet our expectations. The bed quality was poor, too soft, and provided no proper back support. Breakfast was also disappointing, with very limited options. The only hot food available was scrambled eggs and sausages, while everything else was cold. Coffee and juice were from a machine, which didn’t add much to the experience. Overall, the stay was tolerable for the price, but definitely not worth it given the quality of the rooms, beds, and breakfast. Would not recommend unless you’re on a very tight budget.

Het hotel ligt op een geweldige locatie, recht tegenover de zee en de Promenade des Anglais. Het stadscentrum en de oude stad zijn gemakkelijk te voet bereikbaar. Er is een bushalte voor de deur en het metrostation ligt op ongeveer tien minuten lopen. Hoewel de eenpersoonskamer niet groot was, waren de indeling en de ruimte goed ontworpen, waardoor het niet krap of lastig was om spullen in te passen. De douche, airconditioning en het bed waren allemaal erg comfortabel. Het personeel bij de receptie was vriendelijk en geduldig en begroette iedereen die binnenkwam en vertrok.

De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding van het hotel was redelijk. Het ligt heel dicht bij de luchthaven van Nice, maar ernaast staat een onafgewerkt gebouw en de faciliteiten in de omgeving zijn niet erg modern. De airconditioning op de kamer was ijskoud; bij binnenkomst voelde het alsof je een ijskast binnenstapte. Voor bagageopslag was er een klein kamertje. Er waren geen labels of toezicht; je moest zelf de deur openen om je bagage te brengen of te halen, wat een beetje onveilig aanvoelde.

After exiting the train station, it’s about a 10-minute walk to get there, and the location is very convenient. The staff are very friendly. I stayed for three nights and slept well, but I wasn’t very used to the three-tier bunk beds. Since I was on the top bunk, any movement below would cause it to shake.
