"We went to this Inn for a family of 22 birthday Sunday lunch, and they really looked after us. The food came out after about 15 minutes of us being there, but we were nice and settled at our table. The desert did however, not follow for another 60 minutes, but the place was very busy. The food and service were excellent, as was the warm welcome. Will deffo be back."

"We booked all 3 rooms for several days for a family wedding in the town. It couldn't have been a better place to stay. Very comfortable beds in beautifully appointed rooms, and the owner, Caroline, being an exceptional host. The food was also delicious, with the lemon curd biscuits going down especially well with my wife. Bridge House was the epitome of rest and calm before & after busy days of wedding preparation and celebration. I cannot recommend it highly enough."

"Visiting friends in the village and so pleased they booked us into The Quarrymans Rest. Friendly and easy book in and pleasantly surprised at the spacious and clean room. Everything catered for with tea, coffee, kettle and milk supplied and a lovely view. Had a pint on arrival and sat outside with very welcoming locals. Returned after a night out and sat inside. As previous reviews have stated, this is a proper pub with very friendly, hardworking landlord. There is even the pub cat Denzil. In the morning we had a lovely fried breakfast and left wishing we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back."

"Great marketing and a very comfortable bed but very far from luxurious! We were in the biggest room with nowhere to put our clothes. I’ m 5ft 6” and could barely reach the cost pegs which were too large for my coats; there was nowhere else to hang up clothes and the couple of tiny drawers were big enough for underwear only. Cases had to be opened on the floor. Coffee/tea but no milk were available in the kitchen downstairs (I got dressed again and went to the Spar opposite for milk). A tiny plastic box in the bathroom held the very mean selection of shampoo etc. ( only enough shampoo for one and a couple of sample type sachets of bath oil). Are 2018 magazines sufficiently old to be considered retro? That’s the reading material in the room. Perhaps the owner has not noticed the damp in the wall beside the large mirror. This is an AirB&B at best, certainly not a hotel."

"Deze heerlijke welkom en vriendelijke koffie is smaakvol, ontspannen en is mijn regelmatige zaterdagmorgen bezoek voor prachtige koffie en een verscheidenheid van heerlijke, vers gebakte verleidingen. zeer mooie, interessante lokale klanten, maakt om te voelen helemaal thuis door de super Zuid-Afrikaanse eigenaars Steve en Debbie die alles persoonlijk en warm doen. artistieke, rustige atmosfeer met een roosterende log brand in koude maanden en twee of drie echt mooie gastenkamers die je niet wilt. Dit is een zeldzame zoektocht in het hart van de plattelandsdevon in een mooi dorp. Nummer zes op Castle Street is een plek die u niet mag missen omdat het zeer speciaal is."

"Went for Sunday roast. Limited menu: beef or lamb, chicken and vegetarian option. I had to have the chicken as they couldn’t do the other meat well done, my friend had the beef. Very rare and looked very fatty and unpleasant. Good portion but £45 for just that and two drinks. Some muddle about what was vegan on the dessert menu so we didn’t bother. Will stick to other nearby option which has all you can eat carvery with far more choice. Disappointing but have had good lunches there in the past."

"Bridge House was a great choice for our stop-over in Bampton. The room we stayed was great with a large bed and a great sized bathroom. Th room was spotlessly clean and we were treated to a lovely breakfast in the morning. Caroline was a great host and even supplied us with a fabulous cream tea on our arrival. Definitely highly recommended."

"Grote marketing en een zeer comfortabel bed, maar zeer ver van luxe! We waren in de grootste kamer met geen plaats om onze kleren te leggen. Ik’ m 5ft 6” en kon nauwelijks de kostenpegs bereiken die te groot waren voor mijn jassen; er was nergens anders om kleding op te hangen en het paar kleine draagmachines waren groot genoeg voor alleen ondergoed. De keuken was niet voorzien van koffie/thee, maar er was geen melk in de kelder (Ik werd weer gekleed en ging naar de Spar tegenover melk). Een kleine plastic doos in de badkamer had de zeer gemiddelde selectie van shampoo, enz. ( alleen genoeg shampoo voor een en een paar monsterzakken van badolie). Is 2018 tijdschriften oud genoeg om retro te worden beschouwd? Dat is het leesmateriaal in de kamer. Misschien heeft de eigenaar de damp in de muur naast de grote spiegel niet opgemerkt. Dit is een AirB&B op het beste, zeker niet een hotel."
