"When we checked in the room had a terrible musky smell. It seemed to of been water damaged and not properly dried up and cleaned thereafter. We complained to the front desk and were sent to another room with the exact same issue. We complained again and were then sent to a third room but the furniture had water damage, the shower silicone grouting had mould and the toilet didn’t fill up after flushing. Eventually the manager came to us and apologised and arranged for a fourth room which was much better than the first three. One of the nights other guests were drinking and partying till the morning, slamming doors and screaming. The restaurant and bar were extremely quiet and looked extremely dull. The hotel seemed extremely quiet for peak season in an holiday town and now I understand why."

"First time visiting the resort and was looking forward to the trip. We had issues from the time we arrived. As we came as a family, we booked 2 x four sleepers. Even though we booked months in advance, we expected to be provided adjacent units but there were about units between us. We were on bed and breakfast rate, a word of advice to the reader, do not book with breakfast, it is not buffet and breakfast is limited to R130 and limited to the breakfast menu. Many items that one would expect to be included is not. I had to pay in every single day even though I prepaid for breakfast. What made the trip really terrible was that one of units toilet was not working for the entire stay. We had to share toilets between units. Maintenance attempted to fix it everyday without success. I suggested a unit change but was not granted one. The day we were checking out the Maintenance team decided to change the toilet mechanism, I suppose for the next guest. We had and 81 year old and 75 year old pensioners who had play musical toilets between our units. And reminder that the units were not adjacent. When I reported the matter to the GM, she was apologetic, but did not offer any compensation for the material inconvenience, imagine not having a functional toilet. Will email the First Resorts head office regarding this issue. When going down to the beach, we could not get beach towels, they were always taken, even though i saw a white guest just being served towels. When requested to use the room towels as an alternative, we were not allowed. The lady at the towel counter was extremely unfriendly, as if she was doing me a favor. When ordering meals or drinks, the staff took forever to serve us. When we lucky enough to be served, they dissappear and you lucky to see then in the next 30 min. It's a pity as there are many restaurants and bars. We also tried to eat at the bar on the 4th floor and even though we arrived at about 12h00, it appears the table was reserved from 15h30 and was told we could not use the table. I am sure would have been done by 14h00, well before the 15h30 reservation The rooms are a bit dated,, but livable. The location to the beach is good"

"We hadden het mooiste verblijf in The Seaglass Guesthouse in juni 2026. De kamers waren onbevlekt, de service was uitstekend en de atmosfeer was zo vreedzaam. Het is perfect voor paren die comfort, privacy en ontspannen zeezijde willen voelen. We kunnen niet wachten tot we terugkomen."

"Echt gezellig verblijf gemoedelijke sfeer huiselijk en erg leuk ingericht! Dicht bij het strand en een prachtige tuin, met heerlijk zwembad aanrader! Je kan in de buurt prima eten en ook in je kamer staat koelkast waar je eigen spullen in kwijt kan."

"Wij zijn hier gestopt om te lunchen toen we van st. Lucia naar Durban reden om ons vliegtuig te halen. Een mooie restaurant, afwisselende kaart , mooi uitzicht over de zee. Een aanrader om even te stoppen als je moet vliegen. Vanaf hier ben je met 20 minuten op de luchthaven."

"Dit is een kleinschalig conplex en heeft iets weg van een B&B. Onze kamer zag er zeer netjes uit en leek net geronoveerd te zijn. Kamer beschikt over een fijn en schoon bed. Wij werden ontvangen door de gastvrouw die een goede uitleg gaf over de zaken die er in de omgeving te doen zijn. Door haar tips hebben wij leuke dagen gehad! Deze informatie ligt ook op de kamer in een boekje. Het ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid. Deze accomodatie is zeker een aanrader als je in Salt Rock verblijft."
