"Rooms were clean and adequate. Staff attentive and friendly. However, there was a Wedding on the same day and when we arrived for our evening dinner, we didn't get our starters until 8.45pm when our table was booked for 6.30. Although, to be fair to the staff, we were 25minutes late. We had an 20mth old boy with us, who sat very patiently waiting for a pizza. This took 1hr 45mins to be brought out. We were then told that the Chef was having a meltdown in the kitchen.Cant fault the waiting staff, but if you want to starve to death or eat at midnight then this is the place to go."

"Great find in Ayr. Lovely accomodation with very pleasant hosts. Great value for money. Lovely and quiet at night and short walk from all facilities. Could not fault it and would stay again. Only suggestion is , if you like a herbal tea pop some in your bag when packing and if staying longer than 1 night a mini fridge would be great."

"The Burnside is a welcoming guest house with very clean, well appointment rooms. The host, Paul, is friendly and accommodating, and it was a pleasure to chat with him. My room had a separate bathroom right next door on the top floor, which wasn't a problem. The shower is excellent. The family room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I stayed for two nights and chose to have breakfast. The available selection was good and cooked breakfast was very tasty. The location of the guest house is ideal for being close to town and the beach. There is permit parking outside, and I was given a free permit for the duration of my stay. I would certainly recommend this property for your stay in Ayr."

"We booked on line with ***********, when we arrived we were told there was no kitchen as it was getting refurbished, they should have been upfront with this before booking  We also had our 9 year old granddaughter with us and due to the bye laws she was not allowed in the bar even with been accompanied with an adult. The problem was on Friday evening there was nowhere for us to sit with our drinks and after a lot of consultation we were eventually allowed to sit in the breakfast area. Not good enough"

"Ik boek meestal een Premier Inn waar ik naartoe ga dat is niet dicht bij de familie, en dit is het beste dat ik heb gebleven. Het was zeer welkom, het personeel was ongelooflijk briljant, het eten was goed en redelijk geprijsd en de kamer was gewoon top ontbijt. Ik denk niet dat ik dit ooit zal verslaan, maar als je in de buurt bent, blijf dan hier."
