Hotel is OK. '5 star' in the sense it has all of the amenities required by the city to make it a 5 star but this is not a 5 star in terms of service, modern facilities etc. If you are expecting a 4 star, it is good for the price paid. Pros - roof terrace, bedrooms have quality furnishings, bathroom well appointed Cons - breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo, with very little in terms of variety, fresh fruit etc. Air conditioning barely works. They say it is by design - it is actually because the air con was installed in the 80s probably and has never had the gas changed I suspect. They do not like using the outdoor seating on the roof terrace restaurant side at breakfast. No idea why. Perhaps was just the time of year I was there. 'Gym' is down the block. Literally you have to leave the hotel and walk down a road to use it. Anyway - decent value, would stay again, but you need to know what you are getting.

The hotel is in a great location! The sanitary conditions must be good! The service is also attentive! Will recommend to friends in the future! The front desk said that Ctrip’s price was the worst, so I had to pay more! The second night added 130 euros. It is recommended that Ctrip make the prices more accurate in the future and introduce the rooms in more detail! Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄 The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic. All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.

The location is not very good. It takes five minutes to reach Constitution Square and 20 minutes to the Acropolis. It is within walking distance from Plaka. Next to it is the Women's Street, where there are various restaurants and supermarkets. The attitude of the waiter is very good, the room is okay, the family room is two completely independent rooms, and the public area at the door is also enclosed as a connection (suitable for luggage), which is very suitable for older children or elderly people of the same shape, without interfering with each other . The only thing is that the power of the hair dryer is too small and the breakfast is basically not changed.

Booked two rooms for a three day stay and both rooms were comfortable and quiet. The bathroom in my room was smaller than my daughters but for me it was fine. Small bath but I managed to use it. The staff are great and breakfast was a good start to the day ahead. Nice coffee. Our flight back to the uk was cancelled due to air traffic control going on strike and the hotel let us stay another night without any fuss even letting us stay in the same rooms. All in all I have no regrets booking this hotel and for the price it’s a great choice. Reception booked our taxi to the airport and it was a fixed price of 40 euros.

We returned to this hotel for a second visit because it is so nice. Rooms are modern and comfortable. The view is unsurpassed: you have the Acropolis on one side and the Temple of Olympian Zeus on the other. The location is perfect for sightseeing. It is a five-minute walk to the Acropolis Museum. Lower floor, street side rooms can be a little noisy, so you might consider some ear plugs or asking for a room on a high floor. Breakfast is amazing! There are hot foods and cold foods and lots of pastries, all quite good. I especially enjoyed the Greek items: spanakopita, tiropita, dolmas. The elevators are tiny and can be bottlenecks at times.

We are two big and one small, the children live in the living room, the living room is very big. The layout is reasonable. People in a room can't open it. The stove is also in the room. Fortunately, there are kitchen utensils, knives and forks, which can cook things. In January, my husband and I booked a room for September 2023 for two nights. We made the reservation online using our American Express, the account we have used in the past for European travel. One week prior to our reservation, we received an email informing us our reservation was canceled. No further explanation. First, we contacted AMEX; they did not place a hold on our card or intervened in any way with this reservation. We called the hotel twice and were told to reserve again. The dates are no longer available so that wasn't even an option for them. They claim they did not initiate the cancelation. Three emails later and we have no answers and no reservation. Traveling from the US, this is beyond frustrating. It looks like a nice hotel and the location looks appealing as well. Be careful, though, and have a back up somewhere else.
