Waldhotel Arosa

A Fantastic Hotel : We had a great short break ski experience: great facilities, super ambiance, fantastic food, and extremely helpful friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay including the use of the spa facilities and the outdoor warm pool. We were blessed with good snow so enjoyed three days of skiing and one day of walking along snow covered designated walking paths. A great location.

Could recommend staying at Waldhotel Arosa 10/10. Staff is lovely, rooms are spacious, food is delicious and the spa luxurious. Hospitality is also immense, be it the flexibility of the shuttle bus drivers or in general, the ability of the staff to come up with solutions. Will certainly come back. Thank you!

Historic gem a short steep walk (or shuttle bus, or 12 CHF taxi) from the station. German Nobel Prize winning author Thomas Mann came to the Waldhotel frequently a century ago and announced his exile from Hitler’s Germany while staying in the hotel in 1933. Scenes from his novel Buddenbrooks are set here. Lovely service; you may have to book supper before you arrive (we didn’t - a wedding party had filled the restaurant both evenings we were there) and do book the shuttle bus to be sure you have a place. Buffet breakfast truly outstanding - some nice touches like the ‘push this button to get a freshly cut pat of Swiss butter’ to the press-your-own apple/carrot/ginger/cucumber juice machine and great smoked salmon. Egg bar …. in fact everything except bacon, kippers and black pudding. Single rooms remarkably good value (at about half the rate of a double). But then the double room we had was huge. The restaurant looks pretty modern but clearly standards of 'modern' are much stricter here: it’s going to get a complete makeover in the autumn of 2022. To be recommended. We’re already looking forward to a repeat visit !

Beautiful hotel. Exceptionally good staff that is always available. Lots of extra service and attention to detail. Big new Spa. Everything very clean (our room was spotless, perfection) Good food and nice bar. The whole hotel is cozy yet modern at the same time.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, including breakfast and one time we also enjoyed diner at the restaurant. Everything from the beginning untill the end was catered for perfectly, and whenever we had questions, we were helped right away. Additionally, we enjoyed biking in Arosa, using the E-MTB from the hotel, and were also able to enjoy a test-ride in the Porsche, since this hotel is a 'Porsche Centre' . All in all, this is a vacation we really enjoyed, and will never forget.

Wir waren erneut zu Gast im Waldhotel, mittlerweile fahren wir über 20 Jahre ins Hotel......eine bessere Beurteilung gibt es wohl kaum! Das Hotel hat im Laufe der Zeit den Wandel zur neuen Zeit perfekt umgesetzt.... die Herzlichkeit zu den früheren Hotel Direktoren wird es nicht mehr geben...aber das freundliche Personal und das perfekte Ambiente sind einzigartig. Einige Verbesserungen sind für ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel erforderlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist zweifellos optimal für Skifahren oder Spaziergänge. Die Zimmer sind recht ruhig, aber klein im Vergleich zum ziemlich grossen Badezimmer. Der Haartrockner ist nutzlos. Das Restaurant, bestehend aus zwei grossen Räumen, ist recht nett, aber die Tische im Inneren bieten wenig Privatsphäre, da sie zu eng beieinander stehen. Das Essen war gut, aber mit sehr wenig Auswahl. Es gibt jeweils ein Fleisch-, ein Fisch- und ein vegetarisches Gericht für das Hauptgericht. Das Gleiche gilt für die Vorspeise, entweder Suppe oder Vorspeise. Zum Glück gibt es immer Salat, außer mittwochs. Das Frühstück bietet eine recht gute Auswahl, aber das Live-Kochen ist nicht so hygienisch, wie es sein sollte, besonders bei den Eiern. Was wir auch vermisst haben, war eine kleine Speisekarte für das Mittagessen. Das Einzige, was sie anbieten, ist eine Jause für CHF 30.-, die in der sehr langweiligen Lounge serviert wird (keine A**osphäre). Normalerweise ist eine Jause im Hotelpreis inbegriffen, aber nicht in diesem Fall. Die Bar serviert gute Getränke, aber die A**osphäre und der Sitzbereich sind kühl und al**odisch, und das Personal ist zwar freundlich, aber nicht sehr kommunikativ, eher langweilig. Der Wellnessbereich ist recht gross, und der Innenpool ist gross genug für ein paar Schwimmzüge. Behandlungen sind eher auf der teuren Seite. Insgesamt hatten wir einen komfortablen Aufenthalt, aber uns fehlte eine warme A**osphäre.

Es fühlt sich an wie nach Hause kommen! Schönes, gemütliches und geräumiges Zimmer, fantastisches Frühstücksbuffet, wunderschönes SPA mit Aussenpool, leckeres Abendessen. Direkt an der Skipiste, den Wanderwegen und dem Eichhörnchen-Weg Tolle Sonnenterrasse, gemütliche Bar, freundliches und aufmerksames Team

Wir waren bereits mehrmals Gäste im Waldhotel und jedes mal sind wir begeistert. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine riesige Auswahl. Die Eierspeisen werden in der Showküche frisch zubereitet. Das abwechslungsreiche 5-Gang Abendmenu ist immer wunderschön angerichtet und schmeckt auch super. Das Personal ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Sehr schöne Wellnessanlage. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Skipiste! Der offerierte Nachmittagstee mit Gebäck ist nach dem Skifahren ein weiteres Highlight dieses Hotels.
