Hotel Antequera Hills
"We verbleven hier een week op basis van logies met ontbijt. Ik begin met de positieve punten. De kamers zijn ruim, schoon en we hebben goed geslapen. Het hotel is gunstig gelegen voor uitstapjes naar Córdoba, Sevilla en Ronda. Het heeft een heerlijk buitenzwembad en het receptiepersoneel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De ontbijtopties waren goed, hoewel het feit dat we de eerste dag op een kakkerlak stonden me wel enigszins zorgen baarde. Nu de minpunten: metalen ligbedden bij 37 graden zijn niet verstandig, de airconditioning is vrij basic, onze kamer had geen balkon, het hotel ligt op driekwart van het centrum, het restaurant lijkt meer op een cafetaria en het barpersoneel (op één na) is gewoon onbeleefd, onbehulpzaam en heeft duidelijk een hekel aan Britten. Dat laatste punt irriteerde ons zo erg dat we bewust besloten om in de stad te gaan eten. Naar schatting heeft het hotel zo'n £700 aan extra inkomsten misgelopen die we daar aan eten en drinken hadden kunnen besteden. Dit was onze vierde vakantie dit jaar en verreweg het slechtste hotel waar we ooit verbleven hebben. Vermijd dit hotel ten koste van alles. Het heeft geen zin dat het hotel op deze recensie reageert om mij tevreden te stellen, want ik lees het toch niet. Ik raad u aan meer tijd te besteden aan het opleiden van uw barpersoneel over hoe service hoort te zijn."
Parador de Antequera
"Fijn en zeer rustig hotel. Ontbijt lekker uitgebreid. Zwembad met zonneweide is super rustig. Gratis parkeren voor het hotel. Kamer is lekker ruim met goede badkamer. El Torcal en dolmen zeer de moeite waard. Antequerra is een klein schattig stadje. Als je niet te lang blijft, goed te doen."

"De kamer kijkt uit op de markante Parroquia San Sebastián-kerk, een geweldige locatie aan de hoofdstraat, 's nachts rustig, en het personeel is erg vriendelijk."

"The Room was very noisy and the outside pool was closed. No signs about it. The outside looks beautiful but the Environment not . It is mostly used by travellers who go out very early in the morning . "

"We didn't stay at the hotel just popped in for dinner. We waited around 20 mins for a server to come to us, when he did he was rather slow. We ordered a drink and 10 mins later he brought the wrong ones, which he corrected OK. Then we tried to order food, but he had to get a 'colleague' to serve us, that was another 10 mins or so. When we ordered the food that was another 20 mins until that came. When we got the food, everything was overcooked. I ordered lamb chops in garlic. The chops were well overcooked and dry and the chips also. All in all, the bill for two main meals and two drinks came to €44. We will never return. We have had much better food in the restaurants of service stations for half the price."

"Eerste overnachting van een fly-drive van TUI. Hotel ligt pal aan de snelweg. Onze kamer aan de achterkant keek uit op een 'blinde helling' (heuvel op een paar meter van het raam). Er waren geen stopcontacten naast het bed. We hebben onze kussens aan het voeteneind moeten leggen om het apneu-apparaat van mijn man te kunnen aansluiten. Het toilet was op kleuterhoogte en ingeklemd tussen twee muren. Het ontbijt was heel karig, met weinig keuze."

"I’ll start by mentioning the positives of our stay at this hotel. The property from the outside (building, pool area, surroundings) looked exactly as shown in the photos – absolutely fantastic. The rooms were cleaned daily, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were also helpful, especially the gentleman working there. Additional facilities such as the jacuzzi and sauna (30 minutes free per couple) as well as paid massages were definitely amenities worth appreciating. Unfortunately, there were far more downsides than we expected. The first issue was the room we were given. It was not the same room as shown in the photos. When we asked about it at reception the next day, we were told that not all rooms had been photographed. Our room had no terrace, and unlike the pictures, it was much smaller, darker, and less attractive. The one we received was nicely decorated but extremely cramped (barely enough space to open a suitcase) with one small window facing a shaded area. The room was not changed for us. The second problem was the pool – although beautiful, the water was very cold. Many people sat around the pool daily, but hardly anyone went in, and if they did, it was only for about five minutes. The sea water in Nerja was much warmer than the pool water. Another downside was the food. Breakfast offered a fairly wide selection, but the quality was quite average, with supermarket-style products. For example, the orange juice was not freshly squeezed but diluted store-bought juice. We had dinner there once, which we deeply regret — for the rather high prices, the dishes were very mediocre. The tagliatelle with pesto was terrible (1/10), the Angus beef burger was average (4/10), and only the Salmorejo was fairly good (7/10). There were a few other negatives as well — quite a few ants and spiders in the room, no fridge in some rooms despite a policy forbidding guests from bringing their own food or drinks (you can only buy from the bar), and an unfriendly receptionist with an Eastern accent who treated us in a rather condescending manner. Summary Overall, we were very disappointed and would not recommend this place. It is probably the worst “boutique” hotel pretending to represent higher standards that we have ever stayed in — and we’ve stayed in many across Europe."

"More dated than Machin's maracas, although on the main street. Be careful not to accept a room with a streetlight that prevents you from sleeping, and something that you should take care of is that guests do not have to endure the smell of fried fish. The smoke is in the hallway. The prices are cheap, but they are not a bargain."
