I was recognized as a Hilton Diamond as soon as I stepped in the door and treated as such throughout our stay, including a complimentary room upgrade. The hotel staff is fantastic: helpful, friendly, and courteous. The room we stayed in (King Deluxe with city view) was clean and comfortable with plenty of space to move around. The breakfast is fantastic! The hotel has an Executive Lounge that is adequate, if not luxuriant. Like most Hilton Lounges these days, it features the basics and a few American hot snacks in the evening (ah, for the old days in European Hiltons). It’s nice to have, though, when so many are disappearing entirely. Parking is easy, if a bit pricey for an out of center city location. Like many Hilton’s, this hotel is a decent but doable walk from most points of interest. But it’s location on an outer canal is beautiful, and it is quiet and restful. We will certainly return, and I highly recommend this Hilton.

After our Viking Rhine Cruise ended in Amsterdam, we planned to stay the night to check out the city. This hotel had the right combination of price, location, and amenities. We chose one of the 2nd floor suits which included a balcony for smoking. The room was located above the side street which was lined with sycamore trees so the balcony was screened by the branches—it was lovely. Noise level was not bad since this was not the tourist sector but it was still the city so it wasn’t quiet or dark. The room was spacious especially the bathroom. From the hotel we walked to the old city and passed several canals along the way. We didn’t wind up eating at the hotel but we did order from the bar and the bartender was friendly. The staff was friendly and called a cab for us in the morning to get to the airport. Would stay here again.

This hotel is awesome. The loft house I chose to live in is full of high-tech sinks. There is a TV in the mirror. I can use the whole hotel. It is like a museum full of literary atmosphere. When a gentleman leads me to visit the hotel. And the history of the hotel was first explained by a bank and later became a conservatory. The hotel was renamed as the current hotel. The location is especially great. The National Museum Van Gogh Museum walks for 5 minutes. It has a great seafood walk 2 minutes back to the room and finds the bed to help sleep. The fragrance spray and the weather conditions of the next day will be especially intimate and will choose this hotel.

Set right next to the best part of the city, Leidseplein which is very well connected to all the notable landmarks including walkable distance to both the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum as well as the famous Voldelpark. The hotel has very modern interiors and all the facilities to make ones stay comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious unlike the other European hotels. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. There are 100's of restaurants serving all types of food and all are within walking distance from the hotel. Getting to Dam Square which is the shopping hub and Amsterdam Central station is just a single tram ride. Overall, the hotel is very clean and comfortable and nothing can beat the convenient location of this hotel.

Hotel 717 lives up to its buzz and in fact, exceeded our expectations. From start to finish our stay was delightful. We were greeted warmly at the front doorstep and treated to a welcome cocktail after checking in. The property is beautiful! Expertly curated with whimsical, decorative details throughout. Our room was spacious, and the bed + bedding were sublime. Staff was exceptionally kind, with extra special praise earned by Camilla and Wolf who went above and beyond for us! It was quite difficult to leave Hotel 717, although the send-off tin of cookies eased our sadness and heightened our hopes to return asap. Thank you, Hotel 717! We are grateful for you all!

I have stayed at this hotel more than 5 times! I chose it because it was cheaper. If it is not in the city, it is not far away. About 10 minutes walking distance from lelylaan or the station. One stop to the airport and two stops from Central Station. There is a tram stop 5 minutes walk to the city. The supermarket is far away, and there is a small supermarket in the train station. If you want to find a big supermarket, you can take the tram to the downtown area, or walk for another 5 minutes at the train station. There are two supermarkets over there. The room is a domestic 3-star standard. If you have a limited budget and don't want to stay in a hostel, come here!

I have stayed in this hotel for many many times since 2016, it was Ramada back then, I have never being noticed as a regular customer , more than that , the reception manager **** is extremely rude and awful, I have never had such a bad experience in any hotel let alone the hotel that I like and attached with, they really should hire a better person for the reception and make the hotel better

Second stay at this hotel, this time 4 nights on holiday. The hotel is located at a commercial, but pleasant area, with good public transportation options. We preferred it to the chaos of central Amsterdam, including a fair share of dubious characters we saw there on sightseeing. We were welcomed in a courteous and pleasant manner (thank you Tim for this, and for good tips regarding transportation)., and service was good throughout our stay. The common areas and the room were pleasant and clean. The bed was good, the bathroom large and well-maintained. Breakfast was a continental fare with no extras, but good quality ingredients, both beverages and food. Few comments regarding things we liked less: 1. Water pressure in our room (highest floor, # 11) was too weak for an adequate shower. Uncertain how it is on lower floors, but this was frustrating. 2. Room service needs improvement. We ordered burgers, to be prepared medium, and received charred, over-well-done meat, with charred buns too. 3. We were happy to learn there was jazz music in the bar on Thursday. Alas, these were two fairly quiet guitars, drowned in a sea of yelling and laughing guests, People's behavior is by no means something the hotel can or should control. Nevertheless, should the music be audible, it may be better to bring a singer with a piano and a set of drums. Overall a pleasant stay at a good hotel.

They do not deserve the TripAdvisor award. The location of the hotel isn’t bad BUT it isn’t great either. It’s quite a distance from everything even though public transport is convenient - there’s a bit of walking to do. Nothing to eat around here after 9pm and you need to order deliveroo but the options there are limited too. Service: First, the room had NO air conditioning. It was stuffy and had no ventilation. Told them 3 times and they just left a note saying that they have taken note of this? Bonvoy service? I’ve travelled so much pre Covid - I think the service standards shouldn’t have changed this much? We had one lady Andre (from Barcelona) who was very helpful but the manager and the other front desk people weren’t any help at all let alone service. Second, the room was so so. There aren’t much amenities- just soup and shampoo. No toothbrush etc. Towels are small. Third, breakfast- every day’s breakfast was exactly the same maybe except one dish. I get elemen isn’t the higher grade Marriott group hotels BUT for all other Bonvoy members out there- just stay at the main Marriott or another hotel group.

We decided to splurge on this 5 star hotel for a long anticipated family reunion. Unfortunately the experience was marred by a series of disappointments caused by utterly incompetent hotel staff. When I called ahead on the day of our arrival to request an early check-in the hotel rep. sternly informed me that I would have to pay a 120 Euro charge for the privilege! We are experienced travelers and never have we encountered such a demand. We took our chances regardless and decided to show up 2 hours early. Sure enough, our room was already ready and we were allowed to occupy it at no extra charge. Things really started to go south when a limousine that I had arranged for separate airport pickup of my daughter’s family through the concierge showed up at the airport unequipped with a baby car seat. I had expressly requested this when I booked the service. This was also specified in the booking confirmation sent by email to me by the concierge. The reaction I later got when I complained to the concierge was that I was not charged extra for the baby seat - as if this was the main issue! Furthermore, this was the first time that I was informed of such a charge, as no mention of this had been made in the email confirmation of the limo reservation which I originally received from the concierge. More importantly, what is more concerning is the utter indifference he showed for the safety of a guest’s infant grandchild. All that concerned him was the money angle to the failure. Things soon got worse. When we checked into our room we lifted the bed cover to discover several hairs and multiple red and yellow stains. Unbelievably, the chambermaid had neglected to change the bedsheets. This, in a 5 star hotel! After we called reception, staff was quickly sent to our room to change them. We never heard further from management about this. We later had dinner at Serre restaurant onsite and left the place hungry. The chef seems to focus on presentation and less on the reasonableness of the portions. My wife had a fish main course which was equivalent to 3 forkfuls. The minuscule dessert was pretty to look at but was grossly inadequate even for one person. The restaurant style is a throwback to the old Nouvelle Cuisine school. For the icing on the cake: a voucher for a round of drinks on the house at the rooftop bar that the guest services manager had kindly given me was bungled by the bar staff. When I arrived home I discovered a mysterious charge of 66 Euros by the Twenty-Third Floor Bar. The bar staff set new standards of incompetence in taking my voucher and charging me anyway.I had to call the hotel for credit but I am losing money anyway from the spread in exchange rates used by credit card companies. To be fair, the Superior View room was extremely spacious and comfortable with a magnificent view. The large pool and ample spa facilities were enjoyable and a significant convenience . The hotel is super clean and I love that the tram station is literally across the street. On the second stay, the hot water in the shower started malfunctioning but they did call a repairman to fix it that same night. Other than that, the stay went well. I also love the self check-in and options to do an early check-in for a small extra fee. The staff here are super nice even though they seem understaffed.

Our stay was amazing! First of all, the hotel is really close to the metro station, which makes everything easier. It's only 30min by metro to Amsterdam Central Station. It's also close from the trein station. The room was really nice and tidy, and had everything we needed; there was also a great view. Shower was really good! The staff was very kind and helpful, always smiling. Breakfast was great, lots of options. Really recommend it.

The hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were lovely and very helpful when asked any questions or for travel advice. The reception area was very welcoming and the bar/restaurant was top class. The breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks - was well worth it. There is a Lidl round the corner which is very reasonable. The tram/bus/metro tickets were well worth the money and once we figured out our routes they were very easy to use (and frequent) - just remember to scan in and scan off the bus/tram/metro. It took us about 30 mins to get to the centre of town. I would 110% recommend this hotel and it’s staff to anyone looking for accommodation in Amsterdam.
