Water heater not functioning, so everyday i have my shower with cold. Take premium parking and paid RM30, but 3 times i go and out, need to lift that heavy stand alone. Their staff just watching from inside. Hotel not well maintain, toilet got many stain. Even guest toilet at lobby dirty. Breakfast just middle range good.

Once arrived, the hotel have a lot of open parking space, I was welcomed with such friendliness from staff at reception. Check in was fast and easily communicated. The room given to us was great with view of Alor Setar Tower ( Level 8). It was big room, clean and we were satisfied for the money paid. The food at restaurant is great. I would definitely recommended this hotel, since its located at center of town. Its near to the Pekan Rabu Complex. I will stay here again if I were to visit Alor Setar.

Star City hotel in Kedah is located near Menara Alor Star and in the middle of town. The receptionist staff is friendly even though we have a late check-in. The rooms are good. The hotel staff in the breakfast area are very efficient and friendly with a smile and the hotel overall is good only two things spoil the room The carpet has a smell and I realized someone came to open our door without knocking or bell before check-out time (12pm)..

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. I would consider this hotel as a budget hotel. For that category, this hotel is pretty good. Firstly, I like the location very much. It’s by the main street and just across the Lotus Hypermarket (formerly known as Tesco). There are many shops around it. In the evening, there are many stalls and food trucks that sell delicious street foods. You won’t go hungry here. The room size is decent and the bed and pillow are very comfortable. The room is clean. I would have given this at least a 4 star rating but I gave 3 star because of the following: - the shower water becomes stagnant because the flow was blocked or something. It took a long while before the water subsided. - getting a parking slot near the hotel during the day was quite a challenge because there are many popular shops there plus a major bank which customers took up most of the parking spaces. At night, the parking is quite empty. - that guy who was manning the front desk when I checked in was not friendly at all. Not sure what his problems were but being a customer facing staff, he should at least show a bit more pleasant personality. - there’s a sink right after you enter the room! It’s outside the bathroom. I don’t quite understand the logic of this room design. In summary, it’s decent hotel and the room rate is very reasonable esp if you book through their official website. There’s a supposedly 5-star hotel just next door. I have stayed there before. Given a choice, I would definitely stay at this Leverage Business hotel rather than the so-called 5 star hotel. It has it hits and misses but certainly value for money.

It's been long time I didn't write my review about my travelling activity. End of July I was staying with my husband and my toddler son.i don't mine if the hotel was old or else.however the service that the reception give so not called hotelier. The reception staff all are gentlemen,no politeness and happy to serve a guest. My room very clean and big.however the aroma when you open the room not nice.its smell so sticky. During night time there is no air conditioning.My kattle in room got problem we have report to them at reception but no action , I can't boil hot water to make my son milk.its need my husband come down at down stairs to take it by him self.the hotel staff not show that their wanted to help us. So for me even it's cheap but not worthy to stay if the staff not willing to help.

good stay. i stayed here for 3d1n. Satisfied with their service except the noises coming from neighbour room. i was stress with their stomping feet, knocking door, shouting & slamming the door. i know... kids were not at fault, but their parents should be more strict. sorry for these expression. i suggest the hotel should repair their door to overcome the slam's voice door.

Location is good. Customer service is also good. Staffs greeted us well upon check in and check out. However, the room hotel is old, the toilet wall is dirty which lots of mold between the tiles. I used to stay frequently at Hotel Seri Malaysia when i was a kid. But now the hotel is not well maintained. Hopefully the management can do something on that. Thank you.

stop by for an overnight stay, firstly got the room on the third floor, NO LIFT, was told that due to particular online booking, room given has no lift. If you want a room with lift access, pay extra. Then the room was big, spacious but Air Conditioner was not working. Staff came over, checked, and offered change of room, one floor lower. But the funny things was that we were told to go back down three flights to reception just to get the new key. Why cant the staff bring it to us. Second room ok. but scary as the window was out of its alignment. Informed reception but again no similar rooms so had to stay put. Not sure if would like to come back. there are many hotels in town to choose from.

Stayed here for a night on business trip. The hotel is on its own building, without any other next door. So if you're the type that love to walk to convenience store like few yard away, this place is definitely not yours. The entrance road to this hotel already isolated, even it is parallel to the main road. As far as i can remember, there is no shop or stall or place to eat along the entrance road. But still, this hotel is in the town and still easy to get food. The lobby was nice with lots of seat and tv. The outside corridor also have seats and it is quite serene to chill out there especially at night. The room is okay, quite spacious, clean and the bed is comfy. Aircond is provided with tv, kettle and coffee. No mini fridge is provided along with telephone. Shower room was nice, with big shower head, good water pressure and centralise hot water system. The room price is affordable and breakfast is provided. There is no pool in this hotel. Overall it is affordable, clean, great shower time and a bit isolated. I could come here again, with transport

We booked this hotel as we have an early ferry trip to Kuala Perlis Jetty to catch the next morning. We booked 2 rooms including one with a balcony. The rooms were very clean with high quality linens, basic amenities and Young Living diffuser. One room had bottled plain water, the other one didn't have. But this is not an issue since they offer free local snacks and drinks from their fridge at the lobby. The toilets (including the one at the lobby) were super clean. There is no bathroom door, only curtain so if privacy is an issue you might want to book a separate room. The hotel has reserved parking spots in front of the hotel. Breakfast was basic, they offerred delicious nasi lemak, toasts and cereals. The issue here is that there is only one table with 3 chairs and one bench to accommodate all guests. During our stay the family who was sitting there took their own sweet time chatting after they were done, and ignoring the fact that other people were standing up waiting for them to leave. Some people can be inconsiderate urghhh. The hotel might want to reconsider the lobby cum dining space arrangement. I accidentally left my camera and the staff called me up to inform me and they kept the camera until I could come to collect it later. Major point there. Thank you👍🏻

We end up extending day after days, and made AST as our ”camp” when we explore Kedah and Perlis :) Do note, this is a business hotel, and we find it good as lodging purpose only. Help us to rest in the night, clean up, while on day time we explore the town/state

Had a chance to stay at this T Hotel Tandop during my recent trip to Alor Star - Got the room at only RM 60 per night at Traveloka and had a twin bed room. The check in is simple - quick and fast - they took RM 20 for deposit and I was told my room is in Tower B (they have three tower for now). Parking is door front and is ample (at least I dont have issues getting a parking spot). The room is basic - less than 20 sqm - two beds - one desk and a hanging dresser and a small bathroom. Bathroom amenities is very limited (only one bottle for top to bottom wash). Room is clean and neat - no sign of rundown and bed is comfortable. Breakfast is simple - had nasi lemak bungkus which was yummy but is limited so go early. Overall I would say it is a good place for a night sleep - superb value for money. WIFI is also available throughout the hotel.

The best hotel so far I ever stayed when I am in Alor Star. Superb location, very classy boutique hotel with very friendly staffs. The room is super clean, linen is fresh and the bathroom is shiny. Complete amenities and also, huge flat screen tv. I dont have anything to complaint, perhaps maybe the hotel could add more pillows. Keep it up, and will stay there again surely.

Unfortunately we unable to get their name. My mum ( aunty sesak) in alor setar was check in on 19th July mid night and depart next day Morning. Thanks for the great friendly helpful service that hand out my and my 2 small kids which is only 2&3yrs Old. Staff so helpful by loan phone charger and Assist my sister to pick up my mum at the nx day. A little small hand means everything for an elder aunty w 2 grandchildren. Well done for the team

A room with 2 single beds at a price that is not worth it. In the room there are no facilities for making drinks and ironing. The room is not that big. Need to climb a rather steep staircase to get to the room. Not suitable for the elderly. Had to park far from the hotel because that night there was a group at the cafe next door. Location is good. Customer service is also good. Staffs greeted us well upon check in and check out. However, the room hotel is old, the toilet wall is dirty which lots of mold between the tiles. I used to stay frequently at Hotel Seri Malaysia when i was a kid. But now the hotel is not well maintained. Hopefully the management can do something on that. Thank you.

Unfortunately we unable to get their name. My mum ( aunty sesak) in alor setar was check in on 19th July mid night and depart next day Morning. Thanks for the great friendly helpful service that hand out my and my 2 small kids which is only 2&3yrs Old. Staff so helpful by loan phone charger and Assist my sister to pick up my mum at the nx day. A little small hand means everything for an elder aunty w 2 grandchildren. Well done for the team

The location is close to interesting places.. the place to eat is also easy.. next to the hotel there is finger-licking delicious kandar rice.. the hotel is clean, equipped with a heater, soap, towels and TV.. there is mineral water.. equipped with windows for good lighting.. service easy checkin and checkout.. worth the price just to relax.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night. I would consider this hotel as a budget hotel. For that category, this hotel is pretty good. Firstly, I like the location very much. It’s by the main street and just across the Lotus Hypermarket (formerly known as Tesco). There are many shops around it. In the evening, there are many stalls and food trucks that sell delicious street foods. You won’t go hungry here. The room size is decent and the bed and pillow are very comfortable. The room is clean. I would have given this at least a 4 star rating but I gave 3 star because of the following: - the shower water becomes stagnant because the flow was blocked or something. It took a long while before the water subsided. - getting a parking slot near the hotel during the day was quite a challenge because there are many popular shops there plus a major bank which customers took up most of the parking spaces. At night, the parking is quite empty. - that guy who was manning the front desk when I checked in was not friendly at all. Not sure what his problems were but being a customer facing staff, he should at least show a bit more pleasant personality. - there’s a sink right after you enter the room! It’s outside the bathroom. I don’t quite understand the logic of this room design. In summary, it’s decent hotel and the room rate is very reasonable esp if you book through their official website. There’s a supposedly 5-star hotel just next door. I have stayed there before. Given a choice, I would definitely stay at this Leverage Business hotel rather than the so-called 5 star hotel. It has it hits and misses but certainly value for money.
