Wauw wat is dit een prachtige accomodatie! Bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar Salvatore. Hij vertelde ons dat we een gratis upgrade van de geboekte kamer kregen. En wat voor kamer😍We kregen de suite die echt geweldig was. Aan elk detail is gedacht. De eigenaar heeft ons rondgeleid in het paleis en de historie van Castriota verteld. Mooi dat dit Palazzo nog echt in de familie is gebleven. Oude werktuigen ( voor het maken van olijfolie en wijn) zijn nog aanwezig en kun je bekijken. Even terug in de tijd. Het ontbijt kun je buiten onder de fruitbomen nuttigen. Een uitgebreid ontbijt in buffetvorm. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar “signora” Enza. Zij is de beste in het maken van prachtige fruitcreaties❤️Ook haar overheerlijke baksels deden ons smullen. Zelden zijn wij zo verwend! Wat missen we haar nu al. De accomodatie zelf ligt op ongeveer 10 minuten van het leuke stadje Gallipoli en op kleine afstand van de mooie stranden met helder blauw water. Wij hebben genoten van onze 5 dagen in het Palazzo 😍

My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo for 7 nights and had a wonderful experience throughout. Before we even arrived Salvatore was responsive with messages and arranging our late check in.
He greeted us as soon as we arrived in the car and showed us to a parking space directly outside the property.
The masseria is stunning and the rooms are very unique! My first thought was, is this a museum or a hotel!? It was marvellous.
The 200 year old family artifacts throughout the room and the rest of the hotel are amazing.
We could not be more grateful for Salvatore for all of his help with restaurant recommendations and bookings. His expertise on delicious dinners and beautiful beaches was like having our own personal holiday planner.
Enza and her warm welcome every morning at breakfast helped us start the day right, we loved her creativity with the fruit sculptures! Beautiful!
The rooms were clean, comfortable and relaxing. Quiet and relaxing round the pool too. Very pleased with our stay. Thank you

The hotel is small and charming with everything you could dream of. Everything was so perfectly designed, newly renovated, well kept and very clean. Personal service from Salvatore and his family made us welcome and our very good friend Enza took care of us during breakfast, serving excellent decorated food. We will not hesitate to visit again next time we are in Puglia.

An astoundingly beautiful place to stay. The host was charming and helpful and the lovely Enza gave us breakfasts we won't forget in a hurry. So welcoming. Can't wait to come back. The local scenery and restaurants were delightful. An absolute must. Love Puglia ❤️

If you are visiting southern Italy Palazzo Castriota is a fabulous place to stay. The rooms are spacious and beautifully comfortable, decorated in the style of the region and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet. The beach is a car ride nearby and there are plenty of places of historic interest to visit in the pretty town of Gallipoli. Staff were more than helpful booking great restaurants only a short walk away from the hotel. Breakfast by the pool is a real treat. The fare was local, fresh and traditional. All served by our lovely waiter. Thanks Palazzo Castriota for a lovely time.

Very special and warm place with a personal touch of Salvatore who helps you with every possible tip and Enza who makes the beautiful creation of fruits in the morning! We had a great time there. Nice small pool gives a possibility to relax, breakfast is wonderful.

We received a warm and friendly welcome. Salvatore (owner/manager) was extremely helpful and friendly, had good suggestions and assisted with bookings etc. Enza served a superb breakfast and kept topping up with coffee and fruits with a genuine smile and a chat. She was like a family member. The house is impressive and Salvatore has done an incredible job doing it up and it is very stylishly decorated in a traditional style (it was historically a working house for grape and olive harvests) with hi-tech features built in. Easy parking for rental car. Short drives to charming old town Gallipoli, beaches and neighbouring towns and villages, although not an awful lot happened in Alezio itself.

Perfection has a name and it is called Palazzo Castriota. Rarely have I slept in a place where everything, really every single detail, is right: a monumental building renovated with taste and style by Salvatore Castriota, a descendant of the former owner, who runs the place with passion and eye for detail. It was like sleeping in a museum: this Palazzo is an ode to the past, while being equipped with the most modern techniques. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, had a most comfortable bed and even a pillow menu. Also the breakfast was incredible, with fresh fruit and all sorts of homemade delicacies. But what we liked most of all, was the warm welcome by Salvatore himself. Grazie mille!

Ancien palais magnifique, dépaysement garanti. La chambre et propre. Le lit est confortable. Le petit déjeuner exceptionnel. Accueil chaleureux de Salvatore qui nous a donné de nombreux conseils. Salvatore parle anglais. Gallipoli est à visiter.
