Hotel Villa Calandrino

The road leading to the hotel was not easy to find even with sat nav. Through the entrance gates onto an unmade driveway which was compressed “crush and run”. Parking was adequate and reception easy to find. The rooms were all ground floor with no windows other than glass double doors which were stuttered. The internal curtain was quite difficult to open and draw. Remember this is a 4 star hotel and I would expect better! The rooms quite small although tastefully furnished and beds comfortable. The fridge had 2 x 500mm bottles of water and nought else (4 star?). As usual not enough hangers in the only wardrobe and no safe in the room. The bathroom was tiny and shower quite awful as in the photo. The pool and surrounds were first class, the water being perfectly clean and attended too each morning. The pool bar was only open Saturday and Sunday afternoon and closed all through the week. Breakfast was hit and miss and quite inadequate really with it not being refreshed often enough, so if you were a late arrival then it would be sp****. Indeed I had to complain regarding this and it improved. Quite disappointingly americano coffee was instant but the espresso coffee was great. Not much to choose from in the immediate vicinity with regards to bars and eating options. In conclusion the hotel was like the curate’s egg (good in parts) but certainly not befitting four stars. And no I would not stay there again.

Very unwelcoming. The hotel was locked and abandoned when we arrived mid afternoon. When someone drove up to let us in she was nonchalant. Despite the hotel website saying it provides lunch and dinner none was available. Some guests who had booked for a week and were without a car had to walk long distances for food and were given incorrect local info by reception. The breakfast was awful, very little choice apart from cakes. Information about the partner beach club is unclear and not promoted. I pushed on this and got a good deal on a lovely day on spiagia San Marco. The pool is as nice as it looks, but the abandoned air of the place and the difficulty of getting a drink or any kind of refreshment puts you off staying around for long. Mosquitos made one night unbearable for one of our party. We left early.

Arrivo in questa villa storica e sono gradevolmente catturato dall'intenso profumo di zagare! Purtroppo il vialetto ghiaiato che conduce alla reception mi ha fatto tribolare a trascinare la valigia. La camera che è a livello del giardino è bella ma parecchio umida e siccome sono arrivato alla sera, non ho potuto arieggiarla a dovere. Buona la colazione e gentile il personale.

Mi sono trovato in questa villa per il mio matrimonio... Abbiamo prenotato due camere e un ricco buffet con dolce salato e tanto altro che,la signora a quanto pare proprietaria della villa, doveva prepararci... Del buffet ha preparato solo il 10% di quello che avevamo concordato e negando tutto il resto... Non so come faccia a lavorare gente del genere.. Sconsiglio a tutti!!!

Le uniche cose da salvare da questa esperienza sono la colazione e la disponibilità del signor Alberto ,per il resto delle fantomatiche 4 stelle e della perfetta ristrutturazione dell'antica villa non ve ne è traccia. In primo luogo la location è una struttura ex novo arredata ad hoc con scenografie shabby chic ,colonne in cartongesso e decorazioni in gessi dozzinali . Le camere( altro non sono che bungalow)si sviluppano su un orrendo terrapieno, ricoperto di brecciolino .Tutta la struttura è ubicata alle spalle di un supermercato ,e il famoso aranceto è costituito da una quindicina di alberi da poco impiantati. La cosa più oscena che abbiamo trovato è il bagno che era sprovvisto sia di finestra che di aspirazione!!! Per non parlare della doccia che è indescrivibile.Allego foto. La nobile villa e lo charme a 4 stelle decantate nella presentazione della struttura non si trovano di certo in questo luogo.

Ottimo hotel in una zona fuori dal centro di Sciacca e immerso nel verde. Vicino comunque si trova Lidl e altre attività commerciali. Piscina molto grande e pulita , esterno che è un ‘oasi di pace. La camera quadrupla grande e con due stanze unite dal bagno . Solo quest ‘ultimo da rimodernare (la doccia con la tenda), il resto della camera perfetto. La colazione è decisamente la nota migliore, delizie di tutti i tipi e prodotti vari. Personale gentile e molto cordiale, siamo arrivati prima del check out e ci hanno permesso di usare la piscina. Ci tornerei con molto piacere!

Très joli hôtel avec une jolie chambre et une très belle piscine un peu éloignée de sciacca seu petit bémol le petit déjeuner vraiment pauvre pour un 4 étoiles pas de pain plus de charcuteries et pourtant nous y sommes allés à 8 h 30 c est dommage car l hôtel est très bien

Un weekend rilassante in compagnia di mia moglie, ottima struttura, pulita, profumata, fresca. Piscina bellissima con ampi spazi per rilassarsi al sole oppure all'ombra. Colazione abbondante al buffet con vasta gamma di prodotti tra cui scegliere. Personale cortese educato, in particolare il sig. Alberto addetto alla reception molto gentile disponibile pronto a suggerire cosa fare e dove andare nei dintorni della struttura. Grazie ancora a tutto lo staff ed in particolare ad Alberto.
