I have been to Puerto Galera before and accommodation was a real struggle. The quality around White Beach was really poor and they were old and tired. So coming this time I wanted to find something better. Looking at these pics this hotel looked amazing. The hotel is situated around 10 mins drive from White Beach. That is considered close. And there are plenty of Tricycles to take you back to the hotel at any time. I thought this location was great. The view from the hotel was amazing and featured two swimming pools one being a Infinity pool. The infinity pool was quite deep. The rooms were big and comfortable with good air con. There is little to fault the hotel on. I had a room next to the pool and the only issue was there was a light you couldn't turn off and that light attracted half of the islands bugs at night so I couldn't leave my door open. Secondly the hotel is built on the steepest hill you have ever seen. I am not exaggerating when I say that. It is so steep that riding a motorbike it couldn't even make it up the hill lol. The staff will help you with the bags and its prob only a 5 min walk but in the heat it takes a lot out of you. If you are not fit or you were of the older generation I think you would struggle. I rented a motorbike which i would suggest if staying here so its easy to travel about. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to PG.

Availed the Amami Beach Resort ₱6590 (4pax) all inclusive group promo. That’s 3D2N accommodation will full meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) package. They also have the couple package for only ₱3990. I first availed of this promotional voucher when pandemic started and they needed to make sure that the staff are still being paid despite the pandemic affecting all businesses. The resort also does feeding program for children in and around the area. Amami Beach Resort is located in Talipanan, Puerto Galera. About 20-25mins tryke ride from Balatero Port, usual charge of ₱200-250 or ₱50/pax. We took the RORO as we weren’t in a rush coming from Batangas Pier. JAM Liner charges ₱268 while ALPS ₱260. Monte***** RORO leaves the Batangas Pier at 8AM for ₱425 regular fare and travel is around 1hr 40mins. You have to be early as the queue is usually pretty long just about daily. Besides the waiting area in Batangas is actually nice, looking more like an airport departure area. You have to pay ₱30 terminal fee and environmental fee of ₱120/head in Puerto Galera upon arrival. Please do make sure to get your students bring their school ID to avail of discounts. Getting back to Batangas Pier from Balatero Port we did an advance booking via Kuya Agoy (+63997 074-3378). We paid an extra ₱50/head for the advance booking and he even delivered our tickets at the resort! It did save us time queuing and less hassle as we headed straight to the port entrance to pay for the terminal fee of ₱10/head then waiting area. Departure was 2PM from Balatero Port to Batangas. The resort has beach front accommodation as well as Greenhouses located by the main road, roughly 3mins walk to the beach and mess hall. Staff are amazing, food is fairly priced, everything is delicious (thanks mainly to Ate Briza 👏) and big portions too! Everything was great, staff food and location but the place needs quite a few fixes. Accommodation : we had an issue with the faulty door and door knob. Bathroom : clean and all but drain is a bit clogged as it takes awhile for the water to go down. Service Price List : not updated at all. I did speak to one of the managers (after contacting him via texts messages and call to which he dropped my call and never responded to my text messages) later in the afternoon. He was not apologetic for not getting back to me and didn’t really do much about my concern. A real let down after having dealt with the owner Fabio before. The staff did their best to be able to assist us but there is only so much they can do. Staff gets 15/10 stars ⭐️ while management gets zero ⭐️. È molto deludente. In all fairness to the manager Filippo, he is young and seemed patient listening to me, atleast. It is so sad because this place is amazing, the staff are simply wonderful and food is great! They used to be top of the list here in Trip Advisor and now due to neglect, there isn’t much despite their promotion which helps the place and staff big time.

Premises …are quite new with two very nice and large pools facing the ocean plus a hot-tub for which you have to book. The resort looks as good as the photos so we were not disappointed. During our five nights we saw only very few people around the resort and the restaurant even though they were fully booked. They even have a game room with a pool table, PS4 and karaoke system. Food …is good with traditional Filipino dishes, especially the pork sinigang was very good (too fatty meat though). Would be nice with a few non-fast food Western options. Staff …were extremely service minded and made us feel very welcome. All spoke English fluently in addition to Tagalog. Wheat could have been better …not leaving a family with two small kids in 32 degrees at the port for 30 min even though we had made a clear agreement to be picked up …wifi in room 601 was horrible and I had to take a business meeting close to the restaurant …none of the pools had any shade whatsoever Overall we were very happy with our stay and will definitely come back (hopefully to better wifi 😀).

1. Hotel location: 900 meters away from the white sandy beach, you can walk along the highway for 15 minutes, or walk along the beach through a reef, about 25 minutes. 2. Hotel environment: Have your own beach at least 50 meters, very suitable for watching the sunset of the sea, and falling asleep listening to the sound of the waves. Unfortunately, the beach has a lot of pebbles and the sand is relatively thick, which is not suitable for swimming. The waves during my stay in the past few days were relatively big, and it was not suitable for swimming. I could only swim in the hotel pool 3. Hotel facilities: the room is spacious and bright, facing the sea, there is a balcony with green plants and a sofa bed, you can lie down and chat and watch the sea view. Huge disappointment. I had selected this hotel to take advantage of its immediate seaside location. But the strange layout of the hotel means that most of the rooms overlook the corridor, requiring the curtains, which are blackout curtains, to be closed. Result: from a super bright room with possibly a sea view that you were hoping for, you find yourself in a completely dark room. There is therefore no point in being by the sea. (Photos taken with the door open and curtains open). The general quality of the hotel is average, and the prices charged are therefore excessive. Room size ok, but: - no chair or table available. You only have your bed to sit on, eat, work,... - noisy air conditioning, which you therefore cannot leave running at night if you want to sleep properly. - wardrobe, but no coat rack in it. - a refrigerator, but which does not get cold, or even heats up. - no shower gel available in the shower No problem with cleanliness. Good quality bedding also. Simple breakfast, served on a plate. Not a hotel where I will return and which I do not necessarily recommend either.

The newer hotel has been open for almost a year. It is opened by Canadians. The diving instructor is also a Canadian. You can change the diving suit at the hotel, take the hotel boat to the diving spot, and come back to the room to bathe directly. It is very convenient. Because they are not big, they are supervised by everyone, and they are enthusiastic about each and every one of them. You can talk to them if you have any needs. They will try their best to make you satisfied. There are welcome drinks, Western food and Philippine and Chinese food. It is a good place to relax. The room is clean and the water in the bathroom is not fast, but the island's fresh water resources are like this. There is hot water, it won't be too hot. It is very hot outside. Oh, wifi is not fast and unstable. I don't know if it is a problem with my mobile phone. The garden is beautifully furnished and comfortable, with birds singing all day long. Finally, remember that there is no problem with mosquito repellent, haha.

Checked in on the 18th, the environment is very good, the service is very thoughtful, very safe, there are hotel staff guarding the door at night! A special mention is that this restaurant is really great. I recommend going to her house for dinner. I ordered three or four dishes and it was dazzling! (PS On the second day of check-in, I left my phone on the chair by the pool after swimming. When I found out that I was looking for it, the hotel staff just delivered it to the door of the room very enthusiastically. Thank you so much!)
