Very Good
GGuest UserParty central. Good location right in the centre of town. Beautiful old beamed inn. Good breakfast. We stayed Friday and Saturday and our room overlooked the high street. Customers sitting at tables on the street below our windows, which we couldn’t open because of the cigarette smoke drifting upwards. Friday night is live band night. Very good band, loud, finished dead on 11pm. Saturday, customers outside chatting and drinking until 2am Sunday morning.

DDave WilcoxWe stayed here overnight on the way to London. The pub is located in a nice area and is attractive to look at from outside. The room we had ( no 4 ) was very small and claustrophobic. It didn’t help that the walls were painted grey. We found the bed too soft but that was a personal taste though the lack was lukewarm when served. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful but I doubt we would return for another stay.

LLauraRoom 303 has no air flow. The window opens only so far and the blind is up by Velcro. Ask for a fan if you are there in the summer weather. Room 12 is lovely, massive bathroom and 2 sets of windows that open. Much cooler room. The building is lovely, the location is spot on and food is delicious - dinner and breakfast. Service for breakfast could have been a bit more attentive
