The room was nice and very clean and the location was alright given that it is 2' from the station and Matsue is a small town. Though there were enough dishes for breakfast they were more what you'd expect for lunch, the coffee was absolutely horrendous and there was none in the room, get your own.
That said it was a good experience all in all, would go again

Suitenkaku was our first stay in a Ryokan. Those who want to visit Tottori, Izumo and Sakaiminato will find Matsue well located, while the Ryokan is next door to the Ichibata railway deserving the Izumo Taisha. The room was renovated and very spacious, offering a direct view to the lake. Above all, the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Real Omotenashi !
We are fully satisfied with our stay. Will repeat for our next stay in the area.

Matsue Universal Hotel is een goed hotel. Het ligt vlakbij het treinstation, wat handig is voor het openbaar vervoer. Ik kan de stad in de buurt van het hotel bereiken. Het is comfortabel om te winkelen. De slaapkamer is goed, maar er hangt een lichte geur van het meubilair. Het is een grote kamer en de service is goed.
Ik raad u aan om dit hotel te boeken, het is een goede prijs, een goede locatie en goede faciliteiten.

A boutique local hotel under the Excel brand, it is what I can expect. Everything works, good Tokyu group facilities. Felt that the car park fee at ¥1,200 per night is a bit high in this kind of city.

Ik heb het eerder gebruikt, en het was een goed indruk, dus ik heb het voor het eerst in drie jaar gebruikt.
Het uiterlijk lijkt wel oud, maar het is erg mooi en prachtig. De kamer is groot, ik heb geen klachten.
Ik ging een beetje naar de badkamer, maar ik dacht vaak dat het tijd was om in een jurk te ontspannen en te wassen.
Het meest bevredigende is het ontbijt. Alle maaltijden zijn goed. Ik kan gewoonlijk niet zoveel eten in de ochtend, maar ik heb veel gegeten.
Ik wil het nog een keer doen.

AANDREAS NUR JAHJAMatsue Excel Hotel Tokyu was our 5th hotel in this journey, and honestly, it set the bar pretty high.
The location was hard to beat — right opposite Matsue Station, and it could be easily reached through an underpass, which was especially helpful when travelling with big luggage or during bad weather.
One big surprise for us was the check-in experience. We arrived at the hotel at around 11.30am, fully expecting to leave our luggage and return later, but we were told that our room was already ready and we could occupy it immediately instead of waiting until the usual 3pm check-in time. It also seemed that they upgraded our booking to a Standard Double Room, which made the experience even better. Two thumbs up for this hotel.
Even though we had booked a Standard Single Room, the space genuinely surprised us. The room came with a queen bed and was more than comfortable for two of us. We were able to fully open our large suitcases without feeling cramped — something that is not always guaranteed in Japanese hotels.
The room layout was practical and well thought out, with a proper TV console and work desk with a chair, a single sofa with a small table, an air purifier, and a fridge. The TV model was a bit outdated, though it did not affect our stay.
The bathroom was also spacious, with a proper bathtub that allowed us to stretch our legs comfortably after long days out. The bed was very comfy, and they provided two pillows for each of us, which made our sleep even better.
Amenities and bottled water were provided at the lobby area, which we found convenient. We paid around SGD159 (JPY19,000) for two nights, and it was excellent value.
Overall, it was one of the best hotels in this journey, and we would gladly stay here again.

GGuest UserFull marks! This is the best youth hostel ever. Just a three- to five-minute walk from Songjiang Station. The hotel is upstairs, with women on the third floor and men on the second. This is the first youth hostel I've ever seen that uses SEKKISEI cosmetics. The interior is impeccable, with every detail meticulously crafted. I'll definitely be making a special trip to Songjiang in the future just to stay at this hotel again. There's also a Chinese receptionist who's really nice!

看看山看水看雲A hotel that is convenient. There is an articial spring in the basement that closes at 1am. Good for people who have got a long day out. The bedding is clean but a bit yellowish.

Very close to the Matsue station (less than ten minutes walking). Convenient and would return again. It wasn't super cheap when we booked, but it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for.

GGuest UserVery pleasantly surprised, the room was very comfortable, the sea was outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the private soup pool was great to watch the sunset, and the minibar was free in the first round and the local sake was delivered. The dinner was great and the price was right. But there are 8 rooms that are not very good for weekends and need to be early in advance. Since there is nothing to eat nearby, it is best to book dinner on the official website, and you can make a rice ball to take away after eating rice. The breakfast is also very generous, it is Japanese style, and it is very full. The station is inconvenient to the hotel. It is best to rent a car at Izumo Station. If you take JR to Oda, you can taxi but it is difficult to take a taxi. You can let the hotel help you book a taxi.

RREI YSIt’s really a very good hotel. I didn’t expect anything from Shimagen, but from the beginning of landing at Izumo Airport, all the way to the hotel, I met very warm and friendly people. The staff of the bridge management were very enthusiastic and responsible. The design and facilities of the hotel can be said that I have lived in the top three in all Japanese hotels. The design is obviously very attentive, convenient and practical, not fancy, simple and generous, and the room is really clean. The hotel is on the right hand side of the station and the traffic is convenient. The reception staff at the front desk were not only enthusiastic and patient, but also specially printed the Chinese version of the hotel guide, moved, great praise! ! !

Ttravel with IlaEverything was perfect! The staff was kind, helpful, and extremely efficient, as always in Japan. I loved the delicious ramen served in the evening, the relaxing onsen, the peaceful atmosphere, the impeccable cleanliness, and all the extra services included. The location is also very convenient, just next to the station. I would have loved to stay more nights, but unfortunately, there was no availability. I really hope to come back!
