"We were pitting this hotel against other chains like Dormy Inn and Candeo Hotels. Richmond’s value proposition is that you pay less but have less amenities. The rooms are bigger that what we were comparing with but you do not get a public bath and you do not get free drinks and noodles. For the price I think that Richmond is good in that aspect. The hotel lobby is nice and pays homage to the Dutch visiting Japan eons ago as Nagasaki was the first place they came into contact with then. It’s a typical chain hotel, but its located along the bar and nightlife street, though the events happening around that street didn’t bother us, I believe that the price is lowered due to the location of the place."

"We waren zeer blij met ons verblijf in het Hotel Wingport Nagasaki. De kamer was comfortabel en schoon, en het personeel was vriendelijk en handig tijdens ons bezoek. De locatie is uitstekendejuist een korte loopafstand van het treinstation en dicht bij vele winkels en restaurants, die maakte om rond Nagasaki echt comfortabel. Over het algemeen, een geweldige plek om te blijven en uitstekende waarde voor de locatie!"

"Neem vanaf uitgang 5 van de luchthaven de luchthavenbus naar station Gotocho. Steek de straat recht over en het hotel ligt direct naast winkelcentrum AMU en het JR-station. Er is een bushalte voor de deur. De kamer was ruim, maar de badkamer was op slot; we hebben hem met een muntje ontgrendeld. De dagkaart is voor de tram; je kunt geen andere trams nemen, inclusief die naar Inasayama. Let op: het kabelbaanstation voor het nachtelijke uitzicht vanaf de top is niet station Inasayama Park. Het hotel is centraal gelegen, dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden, allemaal op loopafstand. We ontdekten pas de volgende ochtend bij ons vertrek een gebruikte douchekap buiten de badkamerdeur."

"Very easily accessible from Nagasaki train station - just cross the bridge and will reach the hotel. Hotel provides Japanese style buffet breakfast at ¥1800 per pax and it’s really nice! Worth trying! Hotel room is very clean and room clean up can be requested daily. If you need toothpaste, toothbrush and extra toiletries, they can be obtained from the lobby. Historical site of the 26 Martyrs is also very near the hotel."

Beautiful hotel, view was awesome the moment we stepped out of the train at the station. Pleasant surprise that we got free upgrades to rooms with park view that was so stunning. We took many beautiful pictures of the view. The breakfast was very impressive as well. The staff was very polite and provided good service with smiles. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Highly recommended to everyone who comes and especially those coming for Miffy! Hotel Amsterdam is just next to the Miffy Wonder Square. Although I wasn’t able to book the Miffy themed room this time, the room we stayed was also very good enough. Super spacious with the toilet and bathroom separated. The buffet breakfast was great too. Had a comfortable stay and will come back if I visit Huis Ten Bosch again.

Private entrance to Huis Ten Bosch takes you almost directly to the flower fields. They provide free loaner umbrellas which was handy as it rained one day during our stay. Breakfast was decent with a variety of western and Japanese foods. It is nice that breakfast is offered for quite a while so you have flexibility when eating. They were very helpful with storing luggage early and picking it up late so we could spend our time enjoying Huis Ten Bosch without worrying. My husband had a guitar and they personally held it in a protected location as they also have automated luggae storage. Facilities were clean and maintained although not new. Front desk spoke flawless English. Overall a pleasant stay.

It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb. It's not far from the summit of Mount Inasa, and there's a direct bus. If you miss the bus after enjoying the night view, a taxi back to the hotel is only about a 5-minute ride and reasonably priced. The hotel's own free rooftop observation deck is absolutely amazing, and enjoying a drink and the night view in the lounge is also very pleasant. There's a shuttle bus service from the hotel to Nagasaki Station. There's also a hot spring (onsen).

The room was fantastic! The lobby was also very bright, and there's an outdoor area with a great view. The open-air onsen on the top floor was absolutely amazing, super clean, and incredibly relaxing! The hotel is right above Chinatown, making it very convenient for getting around.

The room was a bit small, similar to a Toyoko Inn. The rooftop hot spring was quite good, but the best part was the wide variety of ice cream. The noodles at night were also delicious and you could eat as many bowls as you wanted. Five-star rating!

The location is fantastic, very convenient for getting around, right by the 'Ohuraigashi Station' tram stop. The surrounding area is also very pleasant. The room isn't large, but it's perfect for two people, well-equipped, clean, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. The front desk staff are polite, efficient, and speak English. There was no additional accommodation tax to pay upon check-in.

This is a great hotel, conveniently located near Chuo-bashi (Central Bridge) and Nagasaki Station, with easy access to public transport. The hotel facilities are excellent and comprehensive, including a washing machine and dryer, a large public bath, breakfast service, and a bar. The 3rd and 11th floors offer panoramic city views through their floor-to-ceiling windows. The service is also superb, truly impeccable. One thing to note is that disposable slippers are not provided, so you'll need to bring your own. However, there was one significant issue: my room had a strong body odor smell, and the entire 9th-floor hallway smelled the same. Even opening the window didn't get rid of it, and the air freshener provided by the hotel didn't help either. Perhaps I was just unlucky.

A very comfortable hotel located just about 400 metres from Nagasaki Station, with a tram stop, bus stop, and a convenience store right at the doorstep. Getting around is incredibly easy, as it sits right in the heart of everything. Glover Garden, the Atomic Bomb Museum, Peace Park, and Chinatown are all just a few tram stops away. You can even walk to Mt. Inasayama in around 10 minutes, which makes visiting for the famous night view especially convenient. The room was clean and cozy. The public bath was spacious, with multiple tubs to choose from. There are also laundry and dryer machines available (three of each), though you may need to time your usage a bit. The breakfast was excellent, especially for those who enjoy Japanese-style options. It included a rotating selection of Nagasaki specialties such as champon, Goto udon, and sara udon. There were also breads, salads, and made-to-order egg dishes. However, it might feel a bit pricey if you do not prefer Japanese-style breakfasts, as they make up around 60% of the selection.

Staying at Hotel Indigo Nagasaki Glover Street was a highlight of our trip to Nagasaki. The hotel is beautifully designed with a distinct British colonial character that fits perfectly into the historic Glover Garden neighbourhood — stepping outside, you’re just moments from Oura Cathedral and some of Nagasaki’s most iconic sights. The rooms are immaculate, stylishly appointed, and the bathrobes were a lovely touch after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast at Restaurant Cathedréclat — set inside what feels like a converted chapel — was a real experience in itself, with a tasty Japanese option that was genuinely delicious. The staff deserve a special mention: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Service was flawless from check-in to check-out. The only minor thing I’d flag — and it really is minor — is that the pillows are on the thin and soft side, which might not suit everyone who prefers a bit more support. A firmer pillow option would make this hotel absolutely perfect.
