"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing — perfect for a short getaway. The environment is calm and well-maintained, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The location is also very convenient, as it is not far from other beaches such as Pantai Kemasik, which makes exploring the area even more enjoyable. Most importantly, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. I accidentally left my bracelet behind, and they were honest enough to keep it safely and return it to me. "Coral View was prachtig, vooral vanwege de ligging. Direct voor het hotel ligt een koraaltuin en een onderwaterlandschap. Ik heb drie dagen lang met mijn gezicht in het water gesnorkeld. Op een dag regende het de hele dag keihard en bracht ik die dag binnen door, omdat er niets anders te doen was, behalve naar de restaurants van het hotel gaan. Ik weet niet of er op het hele eiland massages of andere diensten beschikbaar zijn voor regenachtige dagen. Het huisje was prima, vrij sober, maar wel schoon. Als u van snorkelen houdt en dat het enige is wat u tijdens uw vakantie zoekt, dan is dit de plek voor u. Ik ben ook nog naar de andere kant van de pier gesnorkeld om te zoeken naar schildpadden, maar ik heb er geen één gezien. Er zijn echter kleine, schattige roggen te zien in de koralen voor het hotel. "The service was great. The hotel WhatsApp in advance asking what time I wanted to check in. The location was above Tanjung Jara’s area. It was quite serene & peaceful. It’s a 15 mins drive to the Dungun town. The hotel is quite new hence it was very clean. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you."

"I stayed here once with family. Previously in apartment with 3-4 rooms. Really spacious. This time it is studio room so don't expect it to be glamorous or stylish. It is functional room. The only downside is lack of plug. Not even plug at the bedside table. But otherwise water pressure or aircond is good. Just the hot water does not really felt hot. My room at the top most level 9. Previously has some problem with lift. It was slow. But not having those issue during this stay. Either because lack of guest or the lifts are upgraded. Breakfast is good as always, the spread is not that much variety but enough to fulfill morning needs. The ultimate plus is the location opposite pantai batu burok, walking distance to hospital sultanah zahirah, stadium, akuatik centre and shopping malls like KTCC and mayang."

"i didnt have high expectations coming here but i cant forgive neglected room with no maintenance. the room and toilet are dirty. There's rubbish and dirt in front of our door. bunch of lizards dropping near bed and sofa. mold spot in toilet and dont let me start with the disgusting toilet sit covered with lots of black spots and stains. we can clearly see yellow stain on rim of blankets too. some yellow stains at pillowcases. they dont have phone to call receptionist. the furniture are good though its not the old type of furniture and the room are huge. Overall if you are quite picky with hygiene and cleanliness i wont suggest. But if you can close one eyes and ignore all those, sure can consider coming here"

We initially had a frustrating experience as our towels were delivered quite late. However, the situation was handled professionally by Manager Iza, who personally delivered the towels to our room and sincerely apologized for the delay. Her prompt action and attention to guests made a positive difference. Overall, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We booked four rooms and requested them to be located near each other, which the hotel successfully accommodated. However, housekeeping services need improvement, as one of our rooms was not serviced and there were some inconsistencies in room maintenance during our stay. The hotel’s location is excellent and very convenient. It is close to everything we needed, with Restoran Singgang Budu located right beside the hotel. There are also laundry facilities nearby, and plenty of food options within walking distance, making it a great choice for travelers. The staff were friendly, always smiling, and genuinely tried their best to accommodate our requests throughout our stay. While housekeeping could be improved, the service recovery by the management team and the hotel’s strategic location made our overall stay enjoyable.

Newly renovated hotel, clean and comfortable. Outdoor carpark is behind the hotel with daily charge of RM2.20. Our room is unfortunately next to the main road and thus traffic noise was unbearable. The newly renovated wall fixture next to the bed is having a sharp metal corner ie a potential safety issue that must be rectified to prevent injury (see photo)

Some Room was ok but toilet it a bit dirty. Staff not help customers to check in and luggage you need to bring by yourself to the room upstairs . Staff at restaurant is good helpful. Nice view but a bit old room.

Things i enjoyed: Clean beach, large pools with playgrounds, friendly staffs. Pools have lifeguards on duty. Huge lobby. Kids fun club is okay. Just that the inflatable playground wasn't very sturdy. Cons: Lack of activities, hallway a big dark at night. One of thhings i wished to do here is atv ride and get a spa massage. But the atv is no longer available. The spas are no longer open. A bit sad. The place have a lot of potential. Went to turtoise information center but no one there. A security staff told us to go to reception for more info but just didn't have enough time to. The place is huge. Food is a bit pricey but i guess its okay for 4 or 5 stars hotel. Just that the taste is average.

This was my first time staying at (Redang Island Resort), and while the accommodation was okay, the bathroom was a major issue. The showerhead kept falling off when I tried to adjust it, and when I rinsed the corners of the bathroom floor, a lot of dirt came out. The soundproofing in the room wasn't great, probably because it's a wooden building. It's not a lively area. Compared to Laguna, it's a world apart. Renting a motorbike for RM60 a day isn't worth it, as there's nothing much to see around here anyway. All the food stalls outside are 'mamak' stalls, and they charge exorbitant prices. The food options at the hotel are also limited. You're pretty much confined to the hotel grounds. To get to the beach, you have to go down a flight of stairs, which is definitely not suitable for elderly people with mobility issues. I won't be coming back next time. If you're looking for a quiet place, then this resort might be an option. My advice for anyone coming to Redang Island is to stay at a hotel in the Laguna area, as there are so many food choices, and it's much livelier with more activities. Most importantly, an all-inclusive hotel with three meals a day is ideal, especially on an island. You don't want to come all this way just to eat at 'mamak' stalls; it's not worth it. I have a lot more to complain about, but I'll stop here.

Overall, it was great value for money. We booked a family suite, which turned out to be a connecting room with a king-size bed and a living area, plus a standard twin room. The room was incredibly spacious – listed at 79 square meters, but it felt even larger – and had fantastic views from the window. Soaking in the jacuzzi tub was pure bliss. The hotel service was also excellent; the shuttle service was always waiting for us ahead of time. Although it's a 2012 hotel, it's very well-maintained, and the room facilities don't show their age. The only two things we found challenging were the mattress and the dining options. My husband and I are used to firm mattresses, and the hotel's beds were a bit too soft for us to get used to. As for dining, there's only the hotel restaurant, and nothing else to eat nearby. Overall, we were very satisfied.

First of all the location is very strategic.My view is pantai.sangat cantik.. i book 2 deluxe room, for my small family and parents. Bilik parents takde tuala ,even remote tv takde. I call reception ＞5 times,they do answered finally and send to towel. Lambat sikit but still okay.. but but but When i went into my room,the amenties cukup..when i tried to lay down on bed.. ada blood stained😭. I called again receptionist ＞10 times yer..tak angkat. So turun bawah complained within 30 min, tukar bedsheet. Sy tak boleh brain mcm mana boleh ada blood stained.parking itself takde ,ada basement and floor 1-2 shj utk park,memang park jelah merata. Other than that,mknn bnyk cuma tawar sikit haha,tp kenyang dan variety.love it, toilet bersih,aircond mantul,tv semua channel lancar.. sekian my review. Would i repeat again? Hmmmmm

So, how about PIR? Let's start with the pros. The sea view is unbeatable, and it has its own long stretch of beach. I'd say it's the second-best on Perhentian Island, right after Long Beach, and definitely better than the two beaches below the Marriott. I even saw sea turtles, sharks, Nemo, and schools of fish while snorkeling – very satisfying! There are also monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and other small animals behind the resort. The staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage from the jetty to the room and again at check-out, which was great. PIR also offers water taxi and island hopping tours, and the prices are quite reasonable. You can also walk to other restaurants for meals. A whole fish cost 80 MYR, which is much cheaper than the 200 MYR at the Marriott. Now for the cons. PIR's breakfast is absolutely terrible. Besides fried eggs, I really didn't know what to eat, though the watermelon was decent. Their regular meals are okay, similar in taste to Mama's. The soundproofing is definitely poor; you can hear conversations from the next room and even the sound of the waves. Also, the bed sheets weren't very clean. I'd recommend bringing your own bedding.
