Hotels met Bar in Southern, Zambia

Excellent riverside room and a wonderful resort overall. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. The gardens and surroundings in the resort are well maintained. The swimming pool is a great place to relax on a sunny afternoon, the restaurant and bar has excellent food refreshing drinks. It gets quite busy on the weekend and with big groups, but you can see why once you experience the facilities. Apart from the resort it's also home to safpar, they have many different options for travel along the zambezi and falls. We chose the river float, game drive and sunset cruise combo (Around $180) and it was totally worth it! Will definitely stop by again next time I'm in town.

I used it on a backpack solo trip. When I used it, there were probably no people traveling alone and the room was available by myself. I think the staff is gentle and polite and standard cleanliness as a dormitory. The details are as follows. Wi-Fi was only available around the reception and was not available in the room. The shower has hot water. I visited in April but it was a bit disappointing because there were a lot of mosquitoes in the shower room. I was a little scared that there was a big spider at the pillow when I woke up the next morning, but it's African. There is no air conditioner in the room, and the fans on each bed do not work, so I think it's hot in summer. It was also convenient because there was a tap with drinking water. The location is perfect and luggage will be kept in a room with a key. The staff here was very kind and nice to buy, but I was disappointed with other guests. This is not included in the evaluation as it has nothing to do with this hostel. It's just a warning to guests. During my stay, I was greeted by a 40-year-old traveler from Namibia. Then, after receiving sexual harassment that I didn't want to write here before I had a lot of conversation, I continued to be sexually invited. No matter how many times I refuse or ignore it. There was only Wi-Fi in the reception, but I had to pull it up to the room with a minimum use. I was afraid what to do if the person was followed to the room at night or ambushed in the shower room. I thought about consulting with the staff, but I was afraid that I would be reversed by the attention of the staff, so I couldn't say it after all. Due to the nature of the dormitory, I always have the possibility of meeting such a person, but it was really disgusting. Please note that he often said he used this place.

We really enjoyed our time at the Jollyboys Backpackers. Our private room was clean and having the en-suite was perfect for the warm and humid weather. The bar also has specials every day, so we were able to enjoy a sampler platter and a bottle of wine for a very reasonable price. While we were there the Rugby match was on, and most of the locals came to watch. It was very nice to be able to meet with and interact with the local people as well as the other travelers from the hostel.

Номер ”уставший”, но все необходимое в нем есть: холодильник, чайник, сейф. Из умывальных принадлежностей, правда, только мыло. Служащие отеля благожелательные. У нас была нестандартная ситуация: мы не имели местной валюты, а в отеле не было обменника, доллары и евро не принимали. Служащие предложили накормить ужином в долг, но это для нас было неприемлемо, поэтому поужинали остатками завтраков. Тогда на следующий вечер, видимо, решив, что гости могут похудеть от голода, нам ужин подарили. Спасибо за неожиданный сервис! Порции большие, еда вкусная.

Die Lodge liegt sehr ruhig in der Nähe des Flughafens (ca. 10min). Sie ist zwar einfach eingerichtet aber alles funktioniert reibungslos. Für alle anstehende Trips in Livingston gab es Möglichkeiten und Hilfe von der Lodge. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Ich selbst fand den Salat am besten vom Chef und von allen anderen auch !!!!!!

An absolute gem! The owner, Chantal, is very involved in overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and it shows. They were extremely accommodating - we had an outdoor camper trailer which they allowed us to park and connect to electricity. All the staff are super friendly and polite. The rooms are tastefully decorated/designed and the bed was vey comfy. Beautiful outdoor pool and bar. Can’t recommend highly enough!! Only 2 suggestions for improvement: 1) A signpost is desperately needed on the main road and T-junction to show where the place is. 2) Put a hairdryer in the room.

Excellent hotel with great service. The hotel has a modern luxurious touch, lovely views of the zambezi river and the staff are friendly. Hard to find fault with this hotel, the outdoor poolside patio had some mosquitoes during the late night. Definitely the best place to stay in Livingstone

What a wonderful piece of heaven. Tranquil atmosphere, good & friendly service.

Nach dem Check in wurden wir aufs Zimmer gebracht. Dieses war sauber und mit einem grossen Flachbild-TV ausgestattet. Handtücher, Seife, ein kleiner Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und ein einsamer Teebeutel waren vorhanden. Die Einrichtung ist nicht mehr ganz neu aber akzeptabel und wies den afrikanisch üblicherweise Wartungsstau auf. Das wlan war offen und auch in den meisten öffentlichen Bereichen verfügbar. Leider ließ die Geschwindigkeit der Verbindung keine Streamingdienste zu. Warnschilder vor den Hippos waren vorhanden. Doch bis auf den Besuch von Affen, Katzen, Vögeln und Eidechsen haben wir weiter keine Tiere gesehen. Hippos könnten aber über den direkten Zugang zum Kariba-Lake / Sambesi in die Lodge kommen. Das Personal war freundlich und mit der hier üblichen Geschwindigkeit unterwegs. Es kam durchaus vor, daß die Bestellung komplett am Tisch war, als die ersten Teile entweder kalt oder schon verzehrt waren. Durch den angrenzenden Hafen der Kapentafischer mit ihren dröhnenden kleinen Motörchen am Boot muss abends und morgens mit Lärm rechnen.
