江戸時代の交通の要衝の1つ
目黒駅周辺は平坦ですが、目黒川太鼓橋までの急峻な坂道を行人坂と呼びます。現在、車は登り一方通行、長く勾配のある坂道です。
ぎょうにん坂といいます
目黒駅から歩いてネパール大使館に行きます 狭い方の道を行きます。 急な坂を下りて行くと、左に大圓寺、目黒雅叙園と続きます。 坂の名前は途中に案内板があり行人坂と言う。 江戸時代に羽黒山から行人を呼んで大圓寺を開き、 行人が多く住んでいたので行人坂と呼ばれるようになったと。 雅叙園の下は桜で有名な目黒川です。
目黒駅から目黒川に向かっての急坂です
今日はネパール大使館に行く。 目黒駅から歩いて、まず目黒川までの急坂を下りて行きます。 おっ聞いたことがなかった行人坂がありました。 今降りている道が、こうにん?、ぎょうにん?坂。 江戸時代の行者が大圓寺を開いたときの前の坂道をぎょうにん坂と名前をつけたということです。
