A nice stop
A nice stop to see a storic wonderfull bridge over Tejo river, with lots of story, in my way to Portugal.
Bridge of Alcantara
It's the most impressive Roman bridge I've seen. And the most amazing thing is it's a two lane drivable bridge. We drove there from Caceres which is a 1-hour drive.
Worth a detaour
We drove through Spain from and to different parts of Portugal and stopped in Alcantara, which was incredibly tourist free and so interesting. We had a very good value lunch and a walk around the town...
nice historic Roman Bridge
on our way from Spain to Portugal took the small de-tour to view this nice Roman bridge that still stand mighty. There are few hiking trails around.
