水車が目印

旧57号から少し入った場所にあり、直径5mの大きな水車が目印でわかりやすいです。元々室町時代に勧請された神社だそうですが、道路改良などの理由で移転されており、御神木や建物の風情は感じられません。ただ、水神様として奉納されている「鯰の絵馬(現在は大津町歴史文化伝承館で展示)」は素晴らしいと思います。

社は新しいですが歴史のある神社のようです

車で来ました。駐車場は社の裏側にありました。小さな神社ですが、由来を読むと江戸時代にさかのぼる神社のようです。二度ほど移転したり平成になってから火災で焼失したりで社は新しいようです。
