Easy to get to and worth the look. Good information provided but an average ruin. Some areas off limits due to structural integrity.
Earl's Palace
The Earl's Palace is easy to find and you get to explore the ruin on your own. I really enjoyed wandering around and reading the little signs explaining what the rooms were originally used for. There ...
Well worth the journey
Up in the north of the Orkney Mainland, a well preserved Historic Scotland monument with plenty to see and plenty of information.
Well worth a visit
Just as interesting as the Earl's Palace, Kirkwall, although more of a ruin. However, this has the added attraction of really stunning views.
Lots of history to enjoy
There is a small car park just past the Earl's Palace in Birsay. Its well worth stopping and having a look around the ruins and read the info boards. Lots of history here to enjoy.
