The hidden gem of Hardin County
Staff is amazing and super friendly, not to mention very helpful with their knowledge of the trails and the river. Once if the best maintained trails systems I've ever hiked and biked on.

Great camping!
Nice place to RV camp. Enjoyed the hiking, but the longer trails were closed which didn't leave a lot of variety of choices. Looked like some great walk in campsites for tents.

You don't have to go far to get away from it all
It's a shame they took such a beating from Hurricane Harvey and 1/2 the park remains inaccessible. But, you can indeed get away from it all easily by hiking their trails or camping or just picnicing ...

Another great state park
Texas has dozens of great state parks. This one is also one of them. Great trails which is why we came here. Did not see a lot of wildlife, but beautiful views. GO!
