Not as beautiful as we expected

We took a ship’s tour and were expecting a little more. The beach was littered with detritus - plastic bottles, rubbish etc. The sea was very rough so I wasn’t able to swim which was disappointing....

The Luengoni beach on Lifou island is known as one of the most beautiful. You have so much incredible beaches in New Caledonia and still more in "Loyauté" islands... So all is subjective but it's true...

Sunny Beach

This is a big beach right where your cruise ship tender will let off the passengers so very easy to get to for a swim.

Clear water, white and pink sand. So relaxing!

It is a must see attraction in Ouvea. It is very calm and beautiful. You can't swim in this side to preserve nature but just a few steps away there are some beaches where you can swim and enjoy too.
