Great spot!

Don't go to the first car park, drive up around the corner. That's where you'll find the start of the walks, the picnic tables and the best spot to go in for a swim.

Water was flowing on a glorious day ….picnic area for a peaceful lunch ……..not busy during the week……..some dirt road from Armidale

Nice area around the river

The area down near the car parks was nice and cool. The walk to the lookout is a round trip and roughly the same distance either way. Most of the trip was away from the river and hot.

Brilliant!

I have lived in Armidale for 7 years and only visited this place last year. It is SO beautiful. A short drive outside of the town centre, it's a very pretty place to go for a walk, picnic or swim :)
