I rarely write hotel reviews but this one is a true hidden gem! My partner and I stayed for one night and we used this guesthouse as our little getaway from the busy center of Shanghai. It’s perfect for a romantic and cosy staycation, very quiet and private! The water in the private hot spring, surprisingly, comes from a real underground spring so it’s quite hot. Because it’s summer, we had to wait for it to cool down a little bit but it was perfect later on, especially during the night, we stayed in there past midnight and it was amazing. The staff was also really nice to us, with nice service! Overall, we were really amazed of the quality of this experience for this price, one of the best we have tried! ☺️

衝著泳池去的，孩子們玩的很開心！衞生很乾凈，住的是雙床房，床夠寬的，房間也很大！直接住了2晚，距離迪士尼有點遠但也沒關係，因為有班車早接晚送很方便的！帶娃的家人們一定要租一個童車，不然要抱着逛迪士尼可太累了！我在酒店裡租的童車也便宜！管家服務也很好！我們還沒入住酒店就提前給我們聯繫了，建了專門的微信羣溝通，讓人有賓至如歸的感覺！有點小問題就是隔音不太好，其它都很滿意！

Ik raad iedereen echt aan om voor deze B&B te kiezen!
De kamer is vergelijkbaar met de echte foto. Ik heb één keer ingecheckt, dus ik heb geen foto gemaakt. Het uitzicht vanuit het raam is echt prachtig!
Het belangrijkste is dat de baas en de vrouw van de baas erg enthousiast zijn en de service erg goed. Ze hielpen ons met het verplaatsen van onze bagage toen we terugkwamen, en het was erg handig om ons op te halen bij Disney. Ze stuurden ook WeChat om te vragen of we terug zouden komen als we het park zouden verlaten.
Hoewel het ontbijt eenvoudig is, smaakt het goed!
Het belangrijkste is dat ze kittens thuis hebben! Zo schattig!

Het hotel ligt aan de Julustraat, in een rustige omgeving. Er zijn veel kleine winkeltjes, koffietentjes, etc. aan beide kanten van de straat. Er zijn veel levensmiddelenwinkels in de hoofdstraat.
Het hotel ligt op slechts 10 minuten lopen van uitgang 12 van het metrostation Jing'an Temple. De weg is gemakkelijk te bewandelen, zelfs met bagage.
Het personeel bij de receptie van het hotel was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Omdat we geen binnenlands mobiel telefoonnummer hadden en geen afhaalmaaltijden konden bestellen, nam de heer bij de receptie het initiatief om ons te helpen met het bestellen via onze mobiele telefoon. De service was werkelijk uitstekend.
Het hotel kan elke dag het geselecteerde ontbijt naar uw kamer brengen en het personeel bij de receptie heeft ook rekening gehouden met onze speciale wensen voor maaltijden.
De kamer is zeer schoon en de kamers in de villa zijn zeer karakteristiek. De kamer is zeer ruim. De algehele verblijfservaring was erg goed.

特意找了個有帶早餐的酒店 阿姨做的早餐非常好吃有營養 酒店的環境也特別好 有草坪泳池，森林拍照很出片 而且酒店還有自製的咖啡，早晨起來來杯冰美式，非常爽哈哈 非常贊酒店的洗浴用品，全部都是使用一次性的 客房每個角落的衞生都非常非常的乾淨 我們第一天去的迪士尼，早上酒店會安排車子送過去，晚上我們結束了，店家還會接回 當天飛機晚點了，管家幫我們延遲到下午兩點了

The hotel was quite nice 👍 the room was cozy and well designed. The location we found easily by using apple map.
Only the thing we don’t like is that reception area can be more “clean “, that area was little bit messy. Kitchen also too messy.
But the guy who was in charge of costumer service was so nice polite and ready to help with everything. He helped us to order several things using *******, and the delivery came right on time.

位置真的很安靜，前面一大片稻草地，白天絕美啊～風景真的得天獨厚。我睡眠特別淺，這次睡在陌生的地方居然很踏實，床墊軟硬適中，窗簾都是遮光很強的雙層電動帘。
裝修不是千篇一律的網紅風格，而是帶著店家獨特品味的簡約設計。晚上坐在露台吹吹風，抬頭就是星星，老了退休一定也要起這樣一棟別墅來頤養天年。
居然還有兩隻可愛的🐕~溜了一圈心情更愉快了。
再見，期待下次再來～

The hotel itself consists of two mansions built in the late 1920s by the Asian Petroleum Company, as you can read at the information board on the corner of Chang Shu Lu and Julu Roads. The hotel complex is located in a gated community, where the quiet of the park and the chirping of birds are so unusual in the heart of the vast city. The hotel reception is located in the mansion closest to the entrance, where we were warmly greeted and quickly checked in despite our limited English and complete lack of Chinese.
We rented two rooms as there were three of us traveling, and my wife and I lived on the second floor in a fairly spacious room with two windows. There are some minor inconveniences, such as the steep steps on the narrow staircase, which might be a bit difficult for older people, but we had no discomfort, and the hotel staff helped us carry our suitcases. The room was equipped with a TV, refrigerator, desk, safe, and a very, very large bathroom with a window. There was both cold and very hot water, which was perfect, and of course, there was a hairdryer. Our bathroom didn't have a bathtub, but that wasn't a problem for us; the hotel offers a wide range of rooms to suit every taste. The rooms were cleaned and the linens and towels were changed regularly, and we didn't notice it at all. It was very quiet at night; we didn't hear anything, although I've read reviews that the hotel has good soundproofing, but we couldn't say that. Generally, staying at this hotel, you have a very strong sense of privacy, as if the entire mansion were yours, but in the morning, at breakfast, seeing your neighbors, you realize that's not the case. It's also a special pleasure to open the windows early in the morning and let in the sun, fresh air, and birdsong.
The hotel is remarkable for its undeniable historical value. You immerse yourself in the unhurried silence of a measured existence amidst a small park with its living inhabitants, such as birds and squirrels, where nothing disturbs your peace, either in your room or beyond. You undoubtedly enjoy the history as you admire the magnificent staircases, old mirrors, and Art Nouveau hallways, as well as the manicured lawns and trees in the courtyard, where you can sip your morning coffee and enjoy the peace and sunshine.
The hotel offers a small breakfast and excellent coffee. There are very decent restaurants in the neighboring buildings, and several coffee shops are within a three-minute walk, making it very convenient. The metro is a five-minute walk from the hotel, and when I called a taxi through the DIdi app, the drivers always arrived.
And all this is surrounded by quiet, cozy historic streets shaded by old plane trees, a pleasant place to stroll at any time. There are many restaurants, including Mediterranean cuisine, bakeries, bars, and wine bars within walking distance. Nanjing Road is about a 10-minute taxi ride away, and the main attractions are easily reached on foot, so it's best to enjoy the surrounding beauty. I really regret not having visited Sun Yat-sen's residence, which is also within walking distance.
All in all, if you love the spirit of good old Shanghai and appreciate peace and quiet amidst the vast modern metropolis, you should definitely check out this stunning hotel, which I'll definitely be eager to visit again!

LLingmuxiThis time, I went on vacation to Chongming with a few friends and chose the Colorful Garden Terrace room at Dasu Holiday Villa (Chongming Dongtan Wetland Park)! It was truly amazing! I had to share it with everyone!
- Ambience: The spacious and bright space immediately puts you in a good mood. The decor is simple yet warm, with every detail perfectly thought out. The furniture is strategically arranged, creating a comfortable, non-crowded feel. But the most captivating aspect is the Colorful Garden. It's large and beautifully decorated, with a charming pavilion where you can soak up the sun, breathe in the fresh air, enjoy tea, and barbecue with friends. It's a truly relaxing experience. The garden is filled with a vibrant variety of flowers, creating a vibrant atmosphere that feels like living here year-round. In this picturesque setting, I felt completely relaxed, both physically and mentally. And this place is pet-friendly! Really pet-friendly! Our four dogs had a blast running around in the grass, chasing each other as if all our worries were forgotten.
- Facilities: The room was fully equipped with everything, from the comfortable beds to the complete appliances. The hotel's thoughtful care was evident. Of course, my biggest favorite was the complete set of tableware and cookware, ensuring families with children could enjoy healthy meals during their stay! The beds were soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless and the toiletries were high-quality. The room also featured smart technology, including a smart toilet, which was incredibly convenient and comfortable (haha). The large garden terrace has a dedicated barbecue, perfect for hosting a barbecue party with friends. The hotel also offers free parking and high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring worry-free transportation and internet access. Another point worth mentioning: Although the hotel is a villa, I was particularly pleased that there was only one parking space in the front yard, but it was enough for two SUVs! This was a very satisfying aspect for us.
- Service: From the warm welcome at check-in to the prompt response to all my requests throughout my stay, I felt right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to recommend nearby attractions and help with minor issues. Their professionalism and enthusiasm really enriched our vacation.
- Nearby attractions: The villa is located near the Dongtan Wetland Park, a migratory bird sanctuary, where you can admire a variety of rare birds and experience the wonders of nature. A bicycle park and an ecological park are also nearby, perfect for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Basketball enthusiasts can also enjoy the Yao Ming training base. The Smart Island Park and the Lanhai Golf Course are also nearby, catering to diverse leisure and entertainment needs.
This stay at Dasu Hotel was a near-perfect experience. 💯 The pups had a blast playing with their best friends all day! The environment, facilities, and service are all impeccable. I highly recommend it to everyone. Definitely visit if you have the chance!

GGuest UserThe location is located in the forest but there's no light surrounding during night . There are 3 pet dogs who live nearby (one of them is friendly). During winters the place is almost empty. Best for solo or couple travels. Sauna in winter is a must try. Overall the room needs a little repairing but it's not that noticable. The rooms are pretty large and provide all amenities. Each room is calm a provides a retreat for a peaceful vacation. The Breakfast lady is nice and hospitable. Breakfast included milk, croissant , a pastry an egg and a bowl of wontons. All snacks and fruits provided in room are complimentary. Overall a nice place for short weekend trip. In morning one can have a morning walk around forest or bike ( during winters the bike become a bit rusty though). The place also provides Kayaking in the nearby lake for 100 RMB / 3 hrs . It's best to enjoy kayaking in summers. Will visit here again. Also the place doesn't provide dinner but there are 2 nearby places providing good food. Make sure to take a torch along the way to restaurants at night as it gets quite dark.

GGuest UserMother's Day is here, I chose Chongming Island for a weekend, and I have more choices. I saw Kai Ge's 35-square-meter double room. The experience was really good. The room was very clean, the whole space was large, the bathroom toiletries were good brands, and there were even disposable bath towels. The two Ma Ma were very satisfied with the accommodation. In addition, Sister Li also added WeChat in advance very intimately, gave travel guidance, basically replying to information at any time, very intimate. There is a grass in front of the house, a small river, the impression is particularly deep at night, the whole silence is dark, there is a frog call, really back to the childhood countryside. It is highly recommended to friends who need accommodation, especially those with children and children.

They offer a shuttle service to Disneyland, and when we returned in the evening, the owner even had mung bean soup ready to help us cool down, which was incredibly thoughtful. Eekas_19The hotel provides a shuttle to and from Disneyland, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast from 7-9am, clean linens, complimentary water, a kettle, towels (7 for two), a toothbrush, hot water, and working air conditioning (we slept warmly).
There's a convenience store 50 meters away from us that's open all day until 9:30pm. The lovely woman working there makes delicious sweet buns. We paid only 33 yuan (less than 400 rubles) for a whole bag.
The hotel's location is slightly different from where the GPS showed us; the building is lower, by the water, but the owner's neighbor quickly called him and they picked us up.
The room is cleaned and always ready to help.
I don't understand why there are several bad reviews, because for the price, this place has everything!
We want to say a big thank you for the amenities provided, and I highly recommend it!

GGuest UserThe price was excellent for what we recieved. I stayed here and at the Novotel Clover during this trip and my stay at Oak was much better for the money. I spent 1/4 the amount at Oak as I did at Novotel and my room at Oak was much bigger. Oak also provided free transport to Disneyland. When we missed the public Disney shuttle in the morning, the host brought us to Disney in their personal car. They we very nice and also offered to make us a simple breakfast of eggs, corn, buns and porridge. I was checking in very late, so I called to tell them, but they didn't speak English well enough to understand me, so instead we used WeChat to communicate throughout my stay. Unfortunately, many of the additional facilities such as the pool and KTV were not available during my stay and the property was in need of general aesthetic repairs, but our sheets and bathroom areas were very clean and the bed was much more comfortable than the one I slept in at Novotel. As a bonus, they had the sweetest cat who had super cute kittens. As a cat-lover, this was actually the best part of my stay.

GGuest UserAn experience that far exceeded my expectations! The hotel is in a great location, right near Wukang Mansion and just a few hundred meters from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Metro Station. The only minor inconvenience was the pebbled path leading to the entrance, which made it a bit tricky to roll luggage. However, the overall old house environment was charming, and there are coffee shops and restaurants conveniently located nearby.
The best part was the exceptional service. The day I arrived, the weather had turned cold, and as soon as I entered, the front desk staff handed me a warm bottle of water to warm my hands. All the services were incredibly thoughtful. It felt like a hybrid between a B&B and a hotel – more personal than a hotel, but more standardized than a B&B.
The hotel room itself was neither good nor bad. Being an old house, it naturally had a slightly aged feel, but I found it acceptable, and the value for money was excellent. The pillows were very comfortable, and the toiletries smelled wonderful, like a branded product – a pleasant surprise overall.

It’s really good, the service is also very good, there is round-trip pick-up, and the breakfast is also suitable for the elderly at home, which is simple and light. The room is very clean and the room type is also very good. My mother is very satisfied. Compared with the express hotels in the city, the space is really much larger. The boss is also very nice. He helped with the luggage and told us some precautions about Disneyland. There is a small market around the homestay, which can be reached by walking straight. The boss also provides a kitchen for us to use, which is very friendly for the elderly and children who are not used to takeout and meals in restaurants outside. @@chunyangThe location is fantastic, very close to all the main attractions. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were super friendly and even gave us a small gift when we checked out. They thoughtfully offered a guaranteed late check-out until 2 PM.
The mini-bar was complimentary, and the welcome fruit and evening milk were a really nice touch. The only downsides were that the single room was a bit small and the shower pressure was low. Otherwise, everything was impeccable.
