We visited at the end of October. At this time of year, the area is no longer as crowded, so we were able to travel from the visitor center to the entrance of the scenic area without any wait. The route begins with an elevator ride down into the valley. There is only one path, so it’s impossible to get lost. Near the vendor stalls, there is a staircase leading quite a way up the cliff face—but this is a dead end; you have to head back down the steps to continue your route through the valley. At the end, you can take a shuttle back to the visitor center or to Longshuixia. Everything is very well organized, with plenty of restrooms and vendor stalls available.
