Swiss Garden Hotel is gunstig gelegen in een winkelcentrum en ongeveer 10-15 minuten lopen naar de populaire Jonker Street, maar als u zin ​​heeft in wat dichterbij gelegen streetfood en restaurants, dan is het slechts 3-4 minuten lopen. Het hotel is schoon, maar biedt geen roomservice als u midden in de nacht honger hebt. Voorzieningen zijn goed aanwezig. Nadeel was dat de warme douche enige tijd nodig had voordat deze warm genoeg was om te douchen. Anders is de algehele ervaring goed. Gratis parkeren is alleen mogelijk bij L7/8, anders kost Valet RM30 of buiten parkeren RM 15/dag.

De kamer is antiek, groot en ruim, met een chaise longue ernaast en een fijn bad. De service bij de receptie is geweldig en ze brengen water en gratis koekjes als je gaat zitten. De faciliteiten zijn compleet, inclusief een klein zwembad en een professionele fitnessruimte ernaast om te sporten! Er zijn professionele coaches om je te begeleiden! Al met al is het erg goed 👍🏿

The check-in process necessitates roadside parking prior to accessing the designated car park, which can lead to traffic congestion. The hotel's car park, located on levels 7 and 8, involves a rather arduous ascent. The premises comprise four blocks; two are residential, and two are hotel accommodations managed by separate entities. The room itself is spacious, featuring two beds, and is maintained to a clean and tidy standard. While there are four lifts, their operation is slow, and a transfer is required to reach the car park. Breakfast, a makeshift buffet of local, low-quality food, was provided; however, during my three-day stay, I opted for it only once as it was largely unexceptional.

Hotellocatie is goed. Ontbijt was zo zo. Niet veel keus. Lepel die ik kreeg van personeel was niet schoon. Personeel kon geen service bieden aan drukke gasten. Eten wordt niet bijgevuld. Geen glazen om drankjes in te nemen. We zullen de volgende keer geen ontbijtservice nemen. De kamer is echter groot (we namen een primer deluxe suite) en mooi uitzicht op zee. Zal er weer naartoe gaan. Hotelmanagement moet overwegen om de drukte tijdens het ontbijt te beheren met extra ingehuurd personeel en een andere ruimte voor borsten te openen in plaats van een lange wachtrij voor gasten.

Het hotelontwerp is heel bijzonder. Ik heb een heerlijke dag met mijn moeder in Malakka doorgebracht. De service is ook erg goed. De kamer is schoon. Het is ook een door Michelin aanbevolen hotel. Het is echt fantastisch.

The hotel’s location is absolutely excellent—right in the heart of Jonker Walk. Everything is just steps away, whether you want to explore the night market, enjoy local food, or grab a casual drink in the evening. It’s incredibly convenient and perfect for a lively yet effortless stay. One of the best parts is that room service is available until 10:30 PM, so even if you don’t feel like heading out, you can still enjoy a delicious meal comfortably in your room. The breakfast spread is impressive and truly delicious. There is a wide variety of options, including Nyonya cuisine, Western dishes, porridge, Malay noodles, pasta, croissants, and fresh fruits—something for every taste. The hotel’s design reflects a beautiful Baba-Nyonya style, creating a charming and relaxing holiday atmosphere. There is also a small rooftop water play area where kids can splash around and have lots of fun, which adds a lovely family-friendly touch to the stay. Overall, the experience was exceptional—truly a perfect stay from start to finish!

De locatie van het hotel ligt vlak bij de rivier de Melaka, Morten Village. Voedingswinkels, 7e, speedmart, enz. liggen in lijn met het hotelgebouw, het maakt het echt gemakkelijker. Als je in de buurt van de viruswinkel in kampung morten wilt eten, kun je gewoon lopen. De hotelkamer is ook schoon en ruim. Er zijn ook toiletartikelen aanwezig. De waterdruk is alleen niet erg sterk, maar dat is prima, zolang je maar kunt douchen. Open parkeerplaats, er is ook een betaald parkeerterrein. Het hotelpersoneel is erg aardig, zeer informatief en beleefd.

De locatie is fantastisch, pal achter het Dutch Red House en direct aan de rivier. De meeste belangrijke bezienswaardigheden liggen vlakbij en 's avonds kun je heerlijk over Jonker Street slenteren. In het weekend is het gebied autovrij en volledig autovrij, perfect voor een ontspannen wandeling. Je kunt ook langs de rivier naar Spice Quay lopen en dan met de boot terug. Wij waren toevallig getuige van een levendig evenement met zang- en dansvoorstellingen die tot laat in de avond duurden. Dankzij onze gunstige locatie konden we alles meemaken.

The hotel is clean and it provides very comfortable bed, even for an extra bed. Toilet and shower facilities are fine with toiletries provided nicely as a 5-star hotel would. Buffet breakfast was decent, great food to start a day for Malay and Indian cuisine lovers. View was ok especially during sunset. The proximity to the so-called Elements mall should not be counted as the mall is a ghost mall with not many shops around to eat. Need to take grab to anywhere decent for eating and shopping. The surrounding resembles a bit like a ghost town due to pandemic-induced economic downfall. Imperio and Elements nearby are emptied out. The counter service is good enough but not that fantastic, the staff are not confident speaking English. I asked about parking and ev charging, and could not much help as I was simply directed to the Elements mall manager to charge at 5th floor. I give up on the idea of driving to Malacca the next time. i

Overall, my stay was quite disappointing due to multiple issues with the facilities and management, although there are a few positive aspects worth mentioning. 1. The toilet flushing system is very weak and unable to properly flush waste. There is also no exhaust fan, causing unpleasant odors to linger after use. 2. The shower area lacks proper shelving for toiletries, which is inconvenient, especially for female guests. Although the space is not small, the towel rack is installed above the toilet, which is both unhygienic and impractical. 3. The unit is advertised as a two-bedroom space that can accommodate up to five people, which reasonably creates the expectation of having two bathrooms. However, the upstairs bathroom is locked and used as a storage room. This becomes highly inconvenient, as guests have to wait excessively long to use a single bathroom. 4. The doorbell issue that was reported earlier was never resolved. 5. The air conditioner remote control was initially not working, but a replacement was only provided later at night. 6. Only two out of four elevators were functioning. During checkout time, it became extremely difficult to get an elevator. Once inside, it stopped at almost every floor due to high demand. It took my family and me nearly an hour just to get from the 22nd floor to the car park. There was also no proper ventilation or air conditioning inside the elevator, which made the situation very uncomfortable and almost suffocating. 7. There is only a mirror in the bathroom, which makes it very inconvenient for guests (especially women) to get ready or do makeup. On a positive note, the overall room cleanliness was acceptable, although the towels could be improved. The interior design is visually appealing at first glance. However, the layout is not practical. Watching TV from the sofa is uncomfortable as it is positioned at an awkward angle. To face the TV directly, everyone has to sit in a row on the stairs, which is quite inconvenient. Overall, while the design may initially attract guests, the functionality and basic comfort fall short of expectations.
